Bio: Ryan is a pessimist yet a loyal soldier nonetheless. He is usually quite unless allowed to speak his mind and doesn't like going into the unknown or being caught unprepared. His tactics have been viewed as ruthless or suicidal at times, placing the team in hot-spots in a gamblers chance at succession but with a great payoff. One thing is clear about his skills, if your pinned down or in trouble, he's the guy you want to cover your back. During an recon mission on planet B-587, Shield teams leader S29-Ralph, was shot down by a barrage of needler fire from an ambush squad. Feeling fully responsible for his death (at the time he was assigned to scout in advance for such opposition) he took on the responsibility to lead shield team in his honor...there were no objections. Since then the squad hasn't reported any casualties to ONI (but often a high record of injuries ranging from minor to critical) and most if not all of the tasks assigned to them have been successful. Unsure of his next mission Ryan waits for further orders and is currently on Station 794 practicing combat strategies with Shield team.

He has potential to be an effective leader beyond a small Spartan group but he still holds onto a fabricated idea of "being able to save everyone". Perhaps his guilt of letting Spartan029-Ralph die has left a psychological impact on his behavior. reports still show he capeable of getting the job done, but his strategies are near suicidal.
