Bio: Anya was brought up in Chekhovskaya after the war but was born on the surface, in Moscow. She and her family were present during the rise of the fourth Reich, her father becoming an officer in the military. She grew up in the safety of Chekhovskaya, the Nazi soldiers ensuring her safety, thanks to her pure-Russian blood, and only heard stories of the horrors in the Metro tunnels and of the surface.

Like all children in the Metro, Anya dreamed of becoming a Stalker, but quickly abandoned these dreams once she reached her teenage years. Growing up in Chekhovskaya was easy, mostly because of her father's position, and her mother and herself were very comfortable in the Station. When Anya turned 18, she joined the Army, serving on both the front line and several surface outposts, before she was offered a position in the Reich's Stalkers, due to her repeated survival in situations where many other soldiers had died.

Anya has great respect for the Rangers, However, she despises Communists and will often shoot Reds on sight, and believes that the Metro is for the pure race Russians.

Bio:
Sasha and Nikita grew up in Hanza on Prospekt Mira together. Nikita stuck with her mother while Sasha learned fighting and scavenging from their father. In turn Sasha would reciprocate the training on Nikita. Together they worked, until a gang assaulted their mother. Murdered after being sexual and physically abused, their father committed suicide a year later. At the ages of sixteen they ran away and started to travel, and almost were killes. Taken in by a Ranger, Sasha and Nikita started training at age 18.
Now they are a "headhunter" team, working only by twos as they go.

Bio: Sergei was born in Ulitsa Podbel'skogo, where he saw very little of what the metros actually contained. In a very broad term, he was peaceful here for much of his life, before eventually joining the army of the Red Line. Since then, Sergei has served the Red Line unflinchingly.

Bio: Katyusha Detroyvichi Minzintyia grew up in Hanza, her mother was a merchant and a wealthy one at that while her father a security guard. Despite her mother's encouragement and insistence on her becoming a merchant, Katyusha became a guard for Hanza, believing it was the best way for someone like her to put her talents to use by protecting her home that was so dearly loved in her heart. Unlike most children, Katyusha never gave up on her dreams of becoming a Stalker, indeed she is quite often out on the surface of Moscow, exploring the ruins with the help of a few close, comrades of course. It would be suicide to venture out of the Metro alone.
Katyusha is openly anti-fascist but she is not pro-communist either indeed the only faction she actively supports is Hanza. The Reds and the Reich can have their little war if they must, so long as Hanza is left untouched and unharmed.
If she was forced to choose a side in the two she would pick the Reds as they are fascists, not because she agrees with their ideology at all. She has a strong dislike of the fascist policies and the Reds are simply the lesser of two evils through her eyes.

Bio:  Aidan wasn't actually born in Moscow, but in Ireland where his father had visited and met his mother.  Later, Aidan and his mother moved to Moscow, where his Russian father was stationed by Russia's army.  He remembers some things about Moscow before the bombs, but Aidan remembers nothing more from Ireland other than the feeling of the open land and the breeze against his skin.  He was ten years old when the sirens went off and everyone was rushed into the underground tunnels, where Aidan would live for the next two-decades.  His father was still on duty somewhere in the city and wasn't seen by Aidan or his mother again.

Communities inside the Metro formed, which later turned into factions that were hostile toward each other.  Aidan and his mother jumped from station to station until his mother was finally killed travelling to a new station with a caravan by a creature that judgement day had brought with it.  Now stuck in a Metro station just south of where the ring line was formed, Aidan grew up scrapping for food.  He was able to volunteer to be a part of a crew going to surface to scavenge, when he reached the age of sixteen.  Ever since, he's continued to be one of the few bravest or dumb enough to continuously go into the Moscow ruins.  

After one solo run onto the surface, he came back to his station to find no living person left.  At first he suspected it was the monsters, but not all the bodies were accounted for and the ones that were dead had bullet or knife wounds.  He also noticed that the few bodies that remained, were mostly killed from behind, indicating that whoever did this act was mostly undetected.  Now with no station to call home, Aidan walks the Metro with little fear and does what he can to survive.
