Sanctum Academy
Sanctum Academy is located on the southern shore of the island “Sanctum”, west of New Peragus. Sanctum’s northern shore is home to a large town, Asaad. Prospective students are sent an invitation on their Fifteenth birthday to attend one year later.
Sanctum Academy teaches students various subjects, ranging from Mathematics, Literature and Human History, along with training with their Soul Weapon and subjects like Demonic Biology and History. Students are to live on campus, however, are permitted to visit the nearby city of Asaad, should they wish to.
Asaad
Asaad is a large town on the coast of Sanctum. Asaad is just as modern as New Peragus, though much smaller, quieter and is exactly like a seaside town should be.
Koga
Despite being the largest area, Koga has a relatively low population, due to the small settlements it’s inhabitants live in.
Koga is mostly flat, grassy land or thick woods and forests, with several rivers crossing the country.
Villages in Koga are quite small, with 20 families per village on average. Koga is styled very similarly to Feudal Japan.
Lamorak
Lamorak is quite small an area, with a high population for its size. Because of this, the towns of Lamorak are not very spread out, and the buildings are densely packed together. These towns contain anywhere from 50 to 300 families.
Lamorak is mostly wooded, though towns are usually in open areas, with some exceptions.
Lamorak is very similar to medieval europe.
Paressia
Is covered by empty fields and large towns, with it’s population spread out evenly across the country, with wealthier families living farther south. Each town contains up to 250 Families, although this can be lower in the south.
Most of Paressia is grassland, with a large river separating it from New Peragus, with streams and smaller rivers crisscrossing the region.
Paressia is very similar to Renaissance France.
New Paragus
New Paragus is the second largest region, housing 3 Million people.It is entirely dominated by huge skyscrapers.
Magnus
The exterior of Magnus appears to be that of a rich, thriving country, though there is poverty to match it, it is kept out of sight by harsh laws on vagrancy.
The style of Magnus is similar to that of Rome during the Roman Empire.
Xian
Xian is the third largest area in land, but the highest in people, with nearly six million people cramped into the ancient yet grand cities. Most of the land has been turned into cities, with areas outside of the cities almost covered entirely in farms, canals, reservoirs, with little else. The gap between wealthy and poor is immense in Xian, and living in Xian is considered to be quite hard for those not in wealthy families. Xian is styled very similarly to Ancient China.
The Ashlands
The Ashlands are a deserted waste, destroyed by years of war.
This was the site of the most battles during the Demon-Human war, with humans using more and more destructive methods to fight against the demons as their fight became more hopeless. The Ashlands are inhospitable to humans, and contain barely any life.
Towards the center of The Ashlands, is the old human capital, the original Peragus.
Souls
A soul is an Angels weapon created in a time of great need, usually when the angel was in a life-threatening situation. The properties of the weapon are based on the creator’s personality, and the type of weapon is influenced on the creator’s home region.
Souls are unbreakable, and for their owners, always sharp. Perfectly weighted and balanced in their maker’s hands, souls are the only reason Angels can kill Demons. In the hands of anybody other than their makers, souls are unwieldly, and cannot cut through even cloth.
Demons
Demons are taller than humans, the average being around 7ft tall. They are also naturally stronger than most humans. A demon will not die of old age, however, they can still be slain by disease, poison or wound. They have ash colored skin, and can have any hue of eye colour. Demons have no whites of the eye, instead, the area that would be white on a human, is coloured, with the pupil in the centre.
Demons are seen as monsters and are hunted ruthlessly when they are found. The reason for this today is, due to their diet consisting exclusively of meat, they often kill and eat humans.
In the past, demons were as civilised, if not more so, than humans, building great structures. When the ancient humans first encountered demons, they tried to live peacefully, the humans taught demons how to raise their own livestock, and the demons taught humans how to read and write.
When the demon king known as Leviathan took the lead of the demons, this peaceful existence changed, with the demons declaring war on humankind. The Demonic army was far superior to the human armies, and the areas that now make up the Ashlands were razed before the humans even had time to defend what was left of their borders
With such a war, humankind could not win, until the first Souls were created. Every religion gave them a name, but everyone agreed that they were the best chance they had at survival,. While few, the wielders of these weapons were instrumental in the downfall of the Demon Army, now known as The Black Legion. Being too few to be used as foot soldiers, they were used as Special Forces.
By 2120, the human countries had united against the demons, forming a desperate alliance in the hopes of survival.
By 2162, humanity had all but won the war, at a great cost however. Billions had died in the fighting, and the largest human city, Peragus, had been destroyed.
In 2202, the Demon army made a final push against the humans. The sudden and violent nature of the attack took humanity unawares, and contact with the island of Val’Hra was lost; an entire country vanishing almost overnight taking its people with it.
In 2207, New Peragus was founded, and the refugees from the war were finally rehomed.
Demons are not extinct, however, they have become mindless, feral beasts. They are no threat to the Human army, but Angels hunt them down.
Seraphim - The highest rank of angel, there is only one Seraphim at any time.
Archangel - There are three Archangels, One is in charge of the Academy, One in charge of graduated Angels, and One to represent the Angels in Politics. Archangels are appointed by the Seraphim.
Dominion - The angels who have graduated Sanctum, and have achieved a grand total of four Demon Kills.
Ophanim - The angels who have graduated Sanctum.

Religion
The most widespread religion believe in a single God that created first the demons, and then humanity. Their God favoured the humans, and jealousy is what caused the demons to wage a war on them. Seeing what he had caused, the God sent Humanity a means to win the war; The Angels.
There are many cults throughout the world, worshipping different gods, or even seeing the Angels as gods themselves, though most of them agree that Demons are humanity’s enemy. Some, however, believe the opposite; that Demons are gods and saviours. Cults like these are outlawed because of how dangerous they can be. Punishment can be either imprisonment or death.
