Current Status: Admiral of Haven Fleet, and military leader of Haven forces.
Biography: Was taken from the outer colonies as a kid. Recruited into the UNSC's SPARTAN II program. Gained notice for skills in hacking, infiltration, stealth combat, hand to hand, and leadership skills. Made leader of Black Team, and joined by five others. Assignments included espionage against the Outer Colony rebels, and behind enemy lines harassment. Total of 55 successful missions, with only 3 failures. One mission though, known as "Clean-sweep,"changed all that. Team was sent to outer colony world to eliminate rebel outpost. Base was underground, and relative in size to an old world college foot-ball stadium. Orders stated that anyone in compound was to be treated as a threat, and therefore dealt with accordingly. Upon entering through main door, Jason opened fire, only to find out to late that he had killed a young boy: the base was a civilian compound, home to women and children, and used as a storehouse for the rebels. Despite his objections, the rest of Black Team carried out their orders, and fired into the crowds. Jason then fired into his squad from behind, killing two, and injuring three. Jason then fled the compound, and stole the teams ship, Blacklight. Now he is on the run from his old employers, while still fighting the Covenant.



Jason and the rest of his team were all genetically engineered clones, part of a secret ONI/Vigil program known as Project: Dragon's Teeth. He and the rest of his kind were grown from DNA collected from the best Spartans, in the hopes of creating troops that held the best traits of the best Spartans. Also, the Spartan DNA was combined with DNA found at a Forerunner crash site, effectively making the first Human/Forerunner hybrid. This was done because Vigil, and by extension ONI, discovered among the wreckage of the Forerunner crash site records of a Forerunner Shield World known as Haven, and that this world would only respond to the touch of one with true Forerunner DNA. However, while they knew the of Haven's existence, they did not know it's location. They still grew Jason and the rest of his kind hoping that in time they would find Haven and use the cloned Spartans to unlock it, while at the same time using the Spartans for covert black ops missions. Once grown to maturity, they flash transferred false memories and training simulations into their brains, to convince the Dragon's Teeth Spartans they were real people upon 'birth.'


In time, Jason discovered the Shield World, and is now in control of it, leading it's military forces, after relocating human survivors who had their worlds destroyed by enemy ships. In order to avoid abuse of Haven's power, he formed a Council and government on Haven.

Current Location: used to travel in-between colonies as part of her job. Now takes up residence with Shepard aboard the Blacklight.

Biography: For most of her young life, Miranda lived on the streets of an Outer Colony with her baby brother Adam as orphans. However, while she may have been homeless, she was no less brilliant. She had a knack for hacking (when the tools were available) and an even greater talent for thievery. A natural pick-pocket, she stole maybe several hundreds of credits, allowing her and Adam to survive. One day, she stole from the pocket of an Outer Colony Rebel Lieutenant. However, instead of beating her, or sending her to the cops, the Rebel took her and Adam with him back to his base. There, a deal was made: Miranda would train with the rebels, and become one of their spies. In exchange, they would make sure that her brother was given a proper home, with a loving family. She immediately accepted, and her training commenced. For the next few years, she learned from the best the Rebels had to offer, until she became one of their more valued assets. However, all that changed on the day that her brother died in a UNSC attack. Filled with grief, she left the Rebels, feeling that they failed to keep up their end of the bargain. Since then, she worked independently, until she met Jason Shepard, and they ended up working together, even living together. Now, she travels with Jason, aboard the Serenity.

Name: Gabriella "Gabby" Daniels
Age: 27
Race: Human female. Hispanic parents.
Skills: Engineering, electronics. Has a sixth sense and can tell when a ship is going t need maintenance.
Role: Crew of the ship Serenity.

Biography: Was in Eurpoe on vacation when virus hit. Could not get transportation out of Europe, so he's been on the move ever since. Managed to survive both the zombies, and the bandits that have sprung up into organized groups. Not sure if familiy is alive or not. Has not had time to dwell on it.

Creators: Forerunners

Back-story: Haven was created sometime close to the end of the Forerunner-Flood War. It's maker, a Forerunner with great power and influence, secretly created Haven, as a contingency if the Forerunners were forced to use the Halo Array. The creator of Haven believed that the Forerunners did not deserve to die, and never return. Instead, he made Haven to serve as a new, fresh start for the Forerunners. Haven has five cities within, to serve as the "centers" of power for Haven. The Shield World is also equipped with a sentinel manufacturing plant, a defensive fleet, and a monitor, to watch over the planet.

Unfortunately, Haven was not equipped with the facilities necessary to bring back the Forerunners (i.e. cloning facilities). Also, to complicate matters, it was discovered later on that Forerunner DNA, after thousands of years of accumulated genetic manipulation, and forced mutation, had become too diluted for cloning purposes. However, a solution was at hand: the archives of the Forerunner Lifeworkers stored a single sample, of ancient Forerunner DNA, untouched by the accumulated years of genetic tampering. It was in essence, pure Forerunner. Havens' maker felt this was the fresh start the Forerunner's needed: a return to their genetic beginning. The sample was taken, and stored on a KeyShip, which had been equipped with machinery necessary to create clones. However, something went wrong in the plan. Whether it was an attack from the Flood, or elements of other Forerunners is unclear, but the KeyShip sustained heavy damage, and crashed on a lifeless, desert rock planet. While the impact sent the ship underground, an earthquake sent the ship's remains deeper underground. Since then, Haven had remained dormant, with the monitor in control.

100,000 years later, Haven was discovered by Jason Shepard, and he (reluctantly) claimed ownership of the world, and all it's power. Some time later, he brought refugees to the world to live in it, and begin new lives there. Also, he formed a Council to oversee Haven's security and interests.

Location: Outside the Galactic core.

Environment: Haven was made with a Garden World environment. There are forests, grasslands, oceans, mountains, etc.

Current Status: Currently houses the surviving colonists of Delta's campaign. They are under the protective custody of Jason Shepard.

Things to note: Haven is equipped with a massive archive, akin to a digital library. The contents of this archive, contain technological, historical, and philosophical information, the entire sum of Forerunner knowledge. Granted, it is not as vast as the Domain, but the information locked inside is still vast.

Age: 50
Race: Human, Male. African-American
Skills: Natural leader, with some experience in the military.
Role: Member of Haven's Council, and the leader of the city, Osea

Current Location: City of Osea, located on the Shield World Haven.
Current Status: Council member.
Biography: Born on Mars, David joined the UNSC military at the age of 18, and fought in a number of engagements, small and large, against the Covenant. Left at the age of 45, and settled on the colony of Osea. Was captured by Delta's forces during the destruction of Osea, and was later freed after Jason Shepard negotiated for the release of the human prisoners. Later became on of five humans to join Haven's council.

Name: Carolyn Seymour
Age: 55
Race: Human, Female. Caucasian, though with grey hair.
Skills: Experience as leader, and profession in medicine. Was once a doctor, before Delta's invasion of her world.
Role: Council member on Haven, and the leader of the city of Emmeria.

Current Location: City of Emmeria, located on the Shield World Haven.
Current Status: Council member.
Biography: Carolyn was born on Emmeria, and quickly found a talent for medicine. She attained her PhD at the age of 30, and became a doctor at the city hospital. Her strong will, and determination to heal her patients, made her very well known. During Delta's invasion, she and most of her staff were captured, while her home planet was burned. She was later freed by Jason Shepard, and made a member of Haven's Council.

Name: Alvin Davenport
Age: 35
Race: Human, Male. Caucasian.
Skills: Security, knows how to read people.
Role: Council member on Haven, and the leader of the city of Thulionum.

Current Location: City of Thulionum, located on the Shield World Haven.
Current Status: Council member.
Biography: Alvin was born on the colony of Oured. At the age of 25, he joined the police force of his city, and quickly gained promotions. A skilled leader, and a natural people person, Alvin had a skill to read people. He could tell when they were being honest, lying, or when they were troubled. During Delta's invasion of Oured, Alvin and a group of police helped defend refugees, and when they were cornered by XNNO troops, he and his men surrendered, and were then taken as POW's. Later, he was freed by Jason Shepard, and then became a Council member on Haven.

Name: Kei Nagasae
Age: 37
Race: Human, Female. Japanese.
Skills: Highly skilled pilot. Known to inspire others.
Role: Council member on Haven, and the leader of the city of Cherlium.

Current Location: City of Cherlium, located on the Shield World Haven.
Current Status: Council member.
Biography: Nagasae was born on Luna, in Crisium City. She spent many years in the Academy of Mare Nubium, where she found her skill at being a pilot. While she was skilled at the helm of a ship, she was unsurpassed as a fighter pilot, and this skill got her placed on the carrier All Under Heaven. She and her squadron, dubbed Wardog Squadron, had fought the Covenant on several occasions, before she left, having seen one too many worlds glassed. She later settled on the colony of Oured, which was later destroyed by Delta's fleet. She had been captured, but later freed after Jason Shepard negotiated for a release of the humans. She now serves as a council member on Haven.

Name: Hans Grimm
Age: 40
Race: Human, Male. Russian.
Skills: Has studied politics. Always willing to compromise.
Role: Council member on Haven, and the leader of the city of Yuktobania.

Current Location: City of Yuktobania, located on the Shield World Haven.
Current Status: Council member.
Biography: Hans was born on the colony Yuktobania. He attended the colonies university, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science. Was a member of the city council, where he was known as a patient man, and willing to compromise when necessary. When Delta's fleet attacked, the council had been, more or less killed, except him. He had been taken prisoner, and was later freed when Jason Shepard negotiated the release of the human prisoners. He now serves as a member of Haven's council.

Name: Molly Borden
Age: 16
Race: Human, female. Blonde.
Skills: Gifted pilot, a natural. Some degree of hacking, but not Special Ops grade.
Role: New pilot of the Serenity, goddaughter of Jason.

Current Location: Serenity.
Current Status: Pilot of the Serenity.
Biography: Molly was born into the Borden family, a powerful crime family. She never approved of the family business, and did her best to distance herself from it. She loved her parents, but never showed them much respect. At the age of eleven, she met Jason, when he got a job as her bodyguard. They became close friends, and viewed each other like siblings. At the age of sixteen, she ran away from her family, and struck out on her own (after siphoning off money from the family account) She was later named goddaughter to Jason, on Joseph Borden's deathbed. Her home and family gone, she now resides aboard Jason's ship, the Serenity.

Hyperion


The Hyperion is among the first ships produced for Haven's human fleet , and utilizes reverse engineered Forerunner technology and serves as the flagship of the Haven fleet. While not as large as either the Azure Comet or the Trophaeum she is the size of a CAS-Class Assault Carrier, however she's faster and more maneuverable then other ships similar to or above her size.

She has two main fighter bays, and carries a compliment of fighters, transports, and ground vehicles.

As for weapons, she is equipped with four plasma beam weapons, two up at the bow (front), and two aft (rear). Twelve massive turrets cover her, six on the dorsal (top) area, and six more on the ventral (bottom) area. Each one is in fact a powerful Gauss turret, with two barrels, and can deliver a medium amount of damage, and have a firing rate equivalent to UNSC MAC guns. For point defense, the ship relies on a series of pulse laser turrets.

Shields are remarkably strong, though still weaker than the original technology they were based off of. However, they are only 40% weaker than the original shields, so they can take a large amount of punishment. Engines are also more advanced, allowing the ship to move faster than most other capital ships. Power is generated from three fusion reactors, though two of them are smaller than the main reactor. The smaller reactors can serve as back-ups in the event the main one fails, though their primary function is to power weapons and shields alongside the main reactor. Slip-space is accomplished by means of reverse engineered Forerunner slip-space drives, allowing the Hyperion to make faster, more precise jumps.

The hull of the ship is made out of materials available only on the world Haven. The alloys are denser and stronger than Titanium, but even lighter, though this does not mean the hull is impenetrable, but it will make the attacker work for a breach.

Okay, let me start by saying that I in no way take any credit for the following pieces of artwork. The credit for the art goes to madedinjapan1988. The pictures are simply being used to show what the vehicles I am displaying look like.

First Vehicle:

"Trident" transport vessel

Role: Will serve as the main transport vehicle for military and navy uses. It is fast and maneuverable, though not as maneuverable as a fighter. Meant for long range flights, and tactical insertions, due to stealth design. Moderately armored.

Crew: Can carry up to twenty troops, with compartments inside capable of carrying weapons, rations, and emergency supplies. Cockpit houses a pilot and a co-pilot.

Armament: Front section houses two main plasma repeater cannons, with missile pods housed behind the guns in that little area right beneath the dotted grey patch. There is also one aft (rear) plasma repeater, deployable only when enemy troops or pursuing vehicles are present.


Second Vehicle:

"Silverdog" transport

Role: This ship serves the same purpose as the first-- a transport vehicle. However, the first vehicle is meant more for long range, and greater speed and maneuverability, even orbital insertions. This ship is slower, and less nimble. It is meant more for transportation of police forces in the cities on Haven, or mass drops of troops on the battlefield. Heavily armored.

Crew: 1 pilot and 1 co-pilot. Can carry 10-15 troops into any combat scenario.

Armament: 2 front plasma repeaters, mounted under the cockpit, with 45 degree angle of rotation, up and down. (disregard gun in the back) Missile pods located on top of the ship, within the tail.
