The year is 2034. Two years ago, Vulcan Entertainment developed and released Unbreakable Fate, a fully interactive, VR-MMORPG set in a massive fantasy world. Taking inspiration mainly from old table top RPGs, like Dungeons & Dragons, Unbreakable Fate boasts complete freedom for your character. Every humanoid race, and some non-humanoid races, are playable, each with their own traits, be it unique abilities or passive weaknesses and resistances. Based around a complex “player/world influence algorithm” along with a completely radiant, ‘true’ AI and quest system, which takes every player’s actions into account. Very few goblins being killed could lead to a major population problem. It simulates a living breathing world.
Game Data
Major NPC Factions: (i.e. Countries)
The Kingdom of Albion - Pro-human.
The Theocratic Nation of Vahla – Extremist Pro-human. Magic centered religion.
The Southern Alliance – Pro-equality
The Free Provinces of Alveri – Pro-non-human, esp. those with a history of enslavement
Current State of affairs:
The Kingdom of Albion has declared war on the Theocratic Nation of Vahla after repeated hostile actions from the latter along the border of the two.
The Southern Alliance remains at peace.
The Free Provinces of Alveri remain at peace.
The Theocratic Nation of Vahla increased hostilities between itself and the Kingdom of Albion after King Emiratus IV publicly decried their deity.
Example races:
(Humanoid/Near Human):
Human - Bonus: Humans gain experience in professions at twice the rate of other races. Humans are the least likely to face negative or hostile reactions based on race.
Elf - When an Elf character dies, it loses only 2.5 levels worth of experience, rather than the normal 5 levels.
Dwarf - Dwarves gain a bonus to physical resistance and a bonus to their mining and smithing (Any kind) experience. They can create “Dwarven Forged” gear, which has a naturally higher armour rating or damage rating than the regular version of that item.
Drider - Drider have the ability to climb walls, have a slightly increased movement speed, a venomous bite attack and a slightly higher carrying capacity. They gain a bonus to all hunting related professions, and can create traps using their web. They are the only race that is able to use Drider-silk gear, though are highly likely to face negative or hostile reactions based on race.
Tragen (Were-Bear) - Tragen do not face hostile reactions from most ‘bear’ NPCs. In their humanoid form, they resemble tall, muscular humans, although they generally have much thicker hair and body hair. In their human form, they will pass as human easily, though in their shape-shifted form they will provoke hostility from all races.
Centaur - Centaur have a higher carrying capacity, a movement speed equal to that of most ground mounts, and higher strength and endurance.
Non-Human:
Slime - Slimes cannot equip most armour, though they gain natural poison damage, a higher physical resistance, the ability to change shape, and the ability to absorb characters, whether to shield them from damage or to cause damage to them. If digest lowers a targets’ HP to zero, they are completely digested by the slime. Slimes can equip specially made armour that allows them to assume a humanoid shape, allowing them to effectively disguise themselves. Slimes are one of the most likely races to face negative or hostile reactions based on race.
Undead - Undead are immune to all forms of disease, poison, suffocation and are healed by death damage. They take reduced damage from all other sources except for holy and fire. Health Potions and healing spells cause damage to undead. They can pass as living people if they are disguised, but are highly likely to face hostile action otherwise.
To become most forms of Undead, players must have completed “Deus in Absentia” questline at level 60 or above and select the “Undeath” ending. Doing so allows you to create an undead character, but your level is reset to 10 and you lose your equipment. (Items that are now unavailable, like holiday items or drops from timed events, will be moved into your bank.)
Demonic - Demonic races can posses a wide variety of traits, such as naturally improved magic damage, unique skills, and the ability to fly from an early level. Most mages can force a demon to be unable to attack them or allies if they have a higher mental attack than the demon’s mental resistance. Most demons can assume a human form, or can pass for human in their natural form. If their demonic nature is discovered, they will face hostile action. They do not face debuffs for entering other planes of existence.
To unlock the Demonic race, the player must complete the “Deus in Absentia” questline at level 75 and be sacrificed. Your level will be reset to 10 and you lose all of your equipment. (Items that are now unavailable, like holiday items or drops from timed events, will be moved into your bank.)
-Other races are playable. Just ask.
Misc.
The current level cap is 80, set to be raised to 100 in the next expansion.
Dying in-game lowers your level by 5. (Below level 20, this does not happen. After level 20, it will not decrease to below 20.)
You only have one character slot.
