Andrea watches Luka's stumped shoulder twitch. A bit stumped herself, she stops moving. She slowly puts together that there might be an enemy in Luka's sights. She looks back to make sure nothing was following them, then returns her gaze to the front. With nothing but a few more mags, she has a bit of leeway with her shots, but she'd prefer to hit her marks should these marks begin to pop up.

When Luka stopped, he stopped too. He didn't need the signal, the lack of footfalls was enough for him to deduce. He kept his eyes on the rear of their party, and he didn't fail to notice the other Spartan checking their back also.

Corbin certainly wasn't expecting the transmission.....and the message, did not make him feel any better. "Alright, fuck it," Corbin said to Teria over the comms. "Teria, we're on our own here. Either pull a miracle out of your armor clad ass or I'm turning to the squid for help." The Engineer made a sound, though he couldn't tell if it was irritated or curious.

"The best I have is blowing a hole in the blast doors. Which would involve pretty much all of the explosives this bird can bring to bear." With a couple flicks of the switch, the Pelican whirred to life and the weapons began to arm. "I would likely stand back."

"Detonation in One Hundred-Twenty seconds"

Luka heard this as she deliberated over what to do, and the announcement forced her hand. She stepped out into the room, firing two shots into the figure she had spotted, and without pause started to run. Conscious of her ammo count, she relied on the two behind her to properly sweep the rooms.

The announcement catches her off guard slightly. I guess the computer finally decided to kick a number out of its tail end. As soon as the announcement happened, she could hear two gunshots ring out and the sound of footsteps following that. She looks to where Luka had been. Time to outrun the clock, then. She begins running after Luka and firing at anything else that moves.

"Ah fuck me!" Corbin said, almost comically trying to get out of the way. But with the busted leg, his fast attempt became ore of a comical fall coupled with crawling. The Engineer hovered over him, making the same sounds it always did before reaching its tentacles down and grabbing him. "Oh come on," the marine groaned, even as he was then dragged away by the alien. "I'm never gonna live this down....."

He moved into the room behind the pair, taking up the position of rearguard. He had to trust the two to cover ahead of him whilst he swept the room behind them, firing a short four found burst into the torso of a figure near the corner. It toppled, but his eyes were already moving onwards.

Constantly checking the blips on Andrea's radar, she pushes on trying to clear the area. No matter how many of them drop, though, it seems as though there is an endless stream coming to them. Eventually the loud gunshots coming from her weapon become nothing more than clicks. Her solution is by ejecting an old and slamming a new magazine into the pistol. More of these beings fall to the ground and she can almost believe their numbers thinning.

Luka ran through the next door, and straight into a fleshy creature on the other side. She managed to turn her shoulder in time, and completely flattened the thing, her shoulder almost buried in its chest. It wasn't dead, it didn't even appear wounded. Luke reached for her knife, and started stabbing

Andrea follows Luka into the next room. A few red blips appear on her radar. She aims her pistol in one's direction and fires three times after missing the first shot. Her hand moves mechanically to the next target. Her finger slams once more into the trigger it hits the mark, but doesn't topple the beast. Another slam of her finger and the second bullet leaves the barrel, bringing the mass down. The third monstrosity moves in close. Her right hand balls into a fist and she throws it, her punch knocks the beast back only slightly and so she brings her pistol hand around and shoves it into her adversary's "head". Her finger slams the trigger once more and the sound of liquid splattering on a the wall in front of her can be heard.
