Vorna: Online

In 2020, the VRMMORPG "Vorna: Online" was released by Vulcan Entertainment, advertised as a truly immersive VRMMORPG with near-endless content.

The game took place in the land of Vorna, a massive kingdom that spanned most of the known world. Along with humans and other near-human races, Vorna was inhabited by a vast number of varied monsters, from common goblins to Great Dragons.

In the present day of 2024, Vulcan Entertainment went bankrupt, and Vorna: Online was subsequently shut down a week ago. Players that were online at the time of the shutdown found themselves unable to log out.

From somewhere in the UK, Critsy is a "Founder" of Vorna: Online, meaning she had played the game since its release, mostly playing PvP with her guild, Protection Squadron. When the shutdown was announced, she and several members of Protection Squadron had organised a final PvP match against several of their rival guilds, resulting in them all being trapped in-game.

Brief History: Kyr was the second in command of the Twilight Sentinels acting as their trump card in cases of attack. He was caught in this game during the farewell tournament along with a number of his guildmates.

Maze, before the end, had been a well-known roleplayer, especially around the Vyseri Isles. She spent several days awake with her guildmates, playing in the PvP tournaments, roleplaying, and attempting the still uncompleted "final" raid; The Siege of Xarax.

Brief History: Skippy was a low ranking member of their Guild when the switch off happened. Since most of the Guild was offline, Skippy has managed to round up the few remaining members and is now one of the acting leaders. A considerable RP player, Skippy also has extreme PvE experience and minor PvP experience.

Brief History: The Black Prophets are a guild made up of players with low karma rating, people who use stealing, and murdering to gain levels. After Vorna went offline, there was mass confusion. Some members of the guild split off, due to their karma rating going up too high. They were not willing to kill and steal in a situation as real as the one they were in.
But there were some who remained, who truly did have evil in their hearts, they began hunting those who left. Glaive stayed in service to the guild leader, no matter how horrible his motives were. As he knew if he left, he would be killed like the others.
Now there are only fifty members remaining. They are known for their evil deeds, and deadly motives.
