Chapter 4: Exodus part 2

=I take cover behind a hunk of metal and reload=

That was fun

=I hop in the Warthog and move it behind cover and return to my previous position=

You have your own choice! You can do whatever you want...

=She look back at the stars=
But do you really want to find her again? Could you face up to it? Are you scared like I am..?

=I had braced for it, so it didn't hurt as much. Oh, it still hurt, just not as much. I rebound off the wall before he gets to far and grab his arm. I spin and throw him back towards the ring, sticking my foot out in the process, sending him towards the ground. I jump over him and land back in the circle=

(He sits down on the ground)
(He looks up)

I guess that is the thing.
I wouldnt know what to say if I did see her.
I wouldnt know what she would say.

David lays on the floor, cringing at his stomach, which already had the cut wound. He rose, regardless, still holding his stomach, doing a classic kung-fu style 'Come get some' taunt.

I guess its easer to hide here then to face judgement from the ones we love

=She stands up from the rock and kisses Draco=
I guess its just easer to run...

I guess its just easer to be with each other...

=I chuckle, accepting it. I run forward, but past David. I jump right as I reach his side, turn, and punch the back of his head. I land facing him=

(He stands)

Its gettin kinda late.
We'll look out for them tomorrow.

David senses what is happening, letting his target punch him but as he does so, putting his elbow up so his face rams right into it, staggering forward when he is punched. Turning to see how his plan turned out.

=She nods=
Sure... If you want to go back...

=I have some blood coming out of my mouth from where his elbow connected, but I ignore it. I slide at him, performing a handspring, aiming both feet at his face=

(He takes her hand)
(Leading her back to the base)

We should get some rest.
Tomorrow will be a big day either way.

(He smiles at her)

David turns just to see the handspring and flies back, sliding on the floor into the wall not too far behind him. He holds his bleeding face in pain, this time for real, although no difference can be seen from his last trick.

=They enter their room, she smiles=
I just hope it doesn't end in disaster...

=She takes off her armour and places it neatly at the bottom of the bed=
Night Draco...

=She kisses him and then lies down=

Voutan- We are pulling into the Hanger now. Try to hurry up, we're on a bit of a tight schedual here.

=The Spirit pulls into the Hanger bay. Immer pilots the ship while Voutan heads down to the Entryway. He lowers the entry ramp and stands on it, picking off gueards with his rifle=

=I stand and walk over, wary= I'm guessing that now you are actually hurt. =I hold out my hand, ready to fling him into the wall, if necessary=

David takes his hand, using Dormii as a brace to pull himself up, "Can we continue when I'm fully healed? I think that blow may have set it back a bit." He covers his face as if he doesn't want Dormii to see how bad it is.

=heads to the base to relax and see's domrii and david getting done sparring=

now dormi isn't that unfair fighting him like that then again it'd be more one sided of i fought though not much of a sparring person to begin with

=I poke him in the side= You were the one who said yes. Totally not my fault. Nip. Not at all. =I smile and laugh a little= =to Zeru= Hey, be glad I didn't meet him on the battlefield with my armor on. There wouldn't be a David left.

=I lead him to the medbay= You'll be fine. I'd stay, but I want to be there when Jay wakes up. I'm sorry about what happened, I didn't mean to hurt you that much.

=I head back to my room and sit down in the chair next to Jay. I fall asleep, again. I just know that it won't last long=

alright, let's do this!

=charges into room, firing spiker at a guard (9 i think it was) , throws jet pack on ground stomps on it, setting it off like some cheap bottle rocket, riding it as a surf board and using the guard as a ramp to propel him to the Solum Spirit=

damn, didn't think this would work!

=as Tar flies out of the Hanger the jet pack falls from his feet, but giving Tar just enough momentum to land the jump right onto the craft=

=Voutan grabs the (aparent) Spartan's arm, pulling him up onto the ramp fully. They walk into the Ship and head into the Mess room and sit down. The ship heads off back towards the base=

Voutan- That was quite a stunt you pulled there. It reminds me of someone i once knew.

David nods to Dormii, waving with his good arm, before looking to Zeru, "Yes?"

David shrugged, "I'd say on-par with mine, so normal. Despite the injuries, we were doing pretty good. Why do you ask?" He nursed his shoulder as he spoke.

David sighed, "I tried explaining to Jay already...I'm in exactly the same situation as you guys. I'm just trying to get away from a bad past involving the government and the military. What makes you think that I'd double-cross you? Is it that Dormii and Jay kicked my ass in a sparring match, or is it the fact that ONI already tried to 'recover' me?" There was definitely a small degree of emotion in his little expression now, which was the first time he'd ever truly expressed it with this new group of allies.

=I fire a few shots at the retreating ship, but stop.=

Well.. that is enough target practice..

=I hop in my Warthog and head back to the base=

David nods, "Sorry...Just don't get people's logic sometimes. Hrrm...I'd say one of three things: One, they know they shouldn't arrest you for some reason. Two, they're waiting for something. Or three, they know they can't. My guess is thing number two. But that's just my opinion."

David nods, "Sound good. Lead the way, Bossman."

=heads to the lounge with david and he lies down on a sofa and relaxes=

David sits on a chair, cracking his sore neck, and groaning loudly, "So tense, damn."

(He takes his armor off and lays with her)

=I get to the garage and park the Warthog, I was too tired to climb out so I slept in the drivers seat=

(He gets out of the bed making sure not to disturb Ash)

(He grabs a towel and wipes his forehead)
(He leaves the training room and heads back to his and Ash's room)
(He grabs his armor and begins modifications)
(Another hour goes by, he finishes)
(He lays back down next to her)
(He sleeps once more)

=She opens her eyes and sees Draco lying next to her=
What did he mean by Dante..?

=She gets up and throws her armour on=
I better go see if the others are around

=She gets up and heads outside, glancing back at Draco=

=She leaves the room and wonders the hallways=

=i wake up, relieved to have some actual sleep, and that my armor remained unlocked. i do become slightly worried when i see that Jay is missing. i get up, leaving my armor on, and start walking around looking for her. at some point, i end up going outside=

Looks like no ones in... Maybe they headed outside..?

=She begins to walk to the exit=
I just hope this plan works

=She heads outside, the sky is clear=
Looks like it might be a nice day...

=She wonders around the compound=

=i see Ash and wave= Hey, who ya looking for?

Anyone really... I was just wondering how long we have in till Oni get here...

I didn't get to tell you Dormii.. But I really am sorry for what I said back in the hallway..

=i take my helmet off and hook it onto my hip= Do I look like I'm trying to kill you right now?

=i smile and offer my hand= All past things forgotten?
