David shook his head, "No...Not a fight. She shot me in the shoulder with her Sniper and kicked my face in. Don't even know how my arm is still attached." He shrugged, cringing and nursing his shoulder, "Still kinda sore."

David paused, like a computer having an error--completely frozen, and shook his head, "Nope."

David nodded and swallowed hard, "Once. But that was quite a while ago...Back in my ONI days."

=Her eyes widen=
What happened...?

David moved closer and spoke lower, "The last op I had before I became a 'weapon'. We were told that the Innies had their hands on nuclear weapons, and were planning to use them on a major civilian planet. My team infiltrated and didn't find nuclear weapons or even insurgents, but a further development made by civilian scientists. After we reported what we found, the line went dead and we were captured and brought before a man, presumably the leader. They identified me as the leader and seperated me from the rest."

He looked down for a moment, "After strenuous interrogation, found out my team had tried to escape and had been terminated. My special someone was one of them."

=Her voice quiet very quiet=
David... I'm sorry... I didn't know...

=She looks into his eyes=
It must of been really hard...

He nodded, "Don't be. Fueled me with enough Adrenaline to escape for a while."

=She nods and places her arm on his=
Sorry David... We should stop talking about it... I understand loss..

David shook his head, "No, no. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I have one for Nikolaus, though. Excuse me."

He walked off to Nikolaus quietly, standing next to him, "So this 'business' on where we're going. What is it?"

=Silently listening to everything going on in the Phantom turns to the pilot=
