Chapter 4: Exodus Part 5

=She tears a large peice of meat from the pig and offers it to Diorrmy=

=I try to stand, but I end up sitting. I sit next to Aura and start eating the pork. I gesture to ask how much she saw, pointing at her, her eyes, myself, the area where I was lost and then tilt my head=

=She gets a short flashback, back to her time in solitude on the Toxic planet. For a breif moment within the flashback, she speaks to Diorrmy=

I saw all of it. It must be hard to live with something like that.

=She snaps back out of the flashback, then looks at Diorrmy. She makes a gesture that she saw most of it and remains silent=

=I sit, stunned for a second, then gesture two things. First, that she just spoke, I point to her mouth and making a talking gesture. The second, I point to my head and make a scrambled gesture, my face going solemn=

It isn't. Sometimes I harm others.

(He sighs)

I guess I could go find the training room

(He looks back up to Ash)

I dont want to leave though.

(He sighs)

=She looks at him confused. She doesent undertsand what she is saying to him, yet judging by the signs, she spoke his language. It doesent make sence to her=

=I notice her confusion. I nod and point at her mouth and make a talking gesture. I gesture that I think she had a flashback, I point to her head and make a lost then found gesture=

I think you had a flashback, Aurafell. Back to your past.

=Something just then triggered another, hevier flashback. Her eyes widen and she falls onto the ground on her back and begins reciting numbers as she stares blankly at the sky=

I wipe the tears away from my face gently

Why am i crying?

I realise i am questioning an empty room and sigh to myself.

=I quickly check to see if she is ok. I try to shake her out of it, and decide to simply sit her up=

Aurafell, come back. Don't go down that slope. It is a hard climb out, harder everytime it happens. Aurafell!

=She continues the repitition of the numbers, not aware of what she is doing, or of anything around her=

=Her eyes glaze over and she begins to shake=

No no no no. Aurafell! Aurafell, can you hear me? Dammit!

=I pick her up and carry her to her room. I open the door, set her down, and quickly run and grab my armor and put it on. I run back tothe room and close the door=

=Her actions driven by the flashback, she tears off her armor frantically. She falls onto the floor and cuts her hand on a small rock. She looks at the blood on her hands and screams louder than she ever has a word that she doesnt undertsand=

BLOOD!!!

=She sprawls around frantically, hitting her head and cutting herself multiple times on objects within the room. The cuts are very minor, but enough to draw her blood. She continues screaming and rolling around, smearing the blood on the walls, floor, and herself=

=I pin Aurafell down, holding her arms still with my elbows and her head with my hands. I sit on her stomach so she can't stand=

Aurafell, stop. This is not who you are.

=She reverses the position so that she is on top of him, pinning him to the floor and starts ripping off his armor untill she can see his flesh. It feels strange to her. The same, yet different. she continues=


(For the record, the air is fine, and she has a gasmask)

(oh, I thought the armor was still making toxin)

=I try to stand, but without my armor I can't get enough leverage to move. I try to push Aurafell away=

Aurafell, stop.

=She continues as she was, trying to satify her curiosity. Eventually she finds something that answers one question, yet raises so many others. She looks ito his eyes puzzled=

=I shake my head. I try to push her off but I still have no leverage=

Aurafell, stop, now

=Still incredably curious, she takes off the rest of his armor and clothing, as well as hers. She has so many questions racing through her mind, yet only actions to put to them=

=my eyes widen, I shake my head frantically, and try to push her off again=

No! No no no!

=She looks into his eyes curiously, still pinning him to the floor as she slides down slowly=

I hear Dormii's voice as i walk down the corridor. I come to a door and push it open. I see Aurafell and Dormii

Oh....Wel.....Well....I S.....se....see i'm cl.....clearly interrupting.

My hands are fists and im shaking.

=She hears a new voice. She sits up and looks over at the new creature in the doorway. She smiles and waves, offering an invitation to the room=

=tears form in my eyes, but do not fall. I stil shake my head and try to push her off=

No. Please no...Jay...I couldnt stop her...

=I look at Aura, all my pain and rage and sadness there. I scream at her=

GET OFF!!

=I throw her off, much harder than I meant=

=She gets flung back and her head hits the wall, quite hard. Her eyes widen and glaze over. She starts to shake and recite the numbers again=

=Her vision and hearing fade away=

Wonder how things are back at the base?
(He sighs)

Perhaps I should sleep
Nah

=I put my armor on and leave the room, letting Aurafell relapse alone. Before I go too far I turn and scream, my voice filled with rage and sadness=

YOU ARE LIKE ME IN EVERY WAY! YOU LOSE YOUR MIND AND YOU HARM OTHERS! FACE YOUR DEMONS ALONE! I will see you in hell.


=I go to the courtyard and build up the flames from the roast. I put my armor on and stand in them=

=She couchs up some blood as she continues the relapse. It quickly fills up the gas mask, and she begins to drown and suffocate in her own blood, shaking in the cold empty room alone=

I sit there with my knife, stabbing it repeatedly into the ground. My eyes are streaming with tears and the rain begins to pour down on top of me.

David grabs his helmet and rises. He suddenly feels a lack of pain in his face and his shoulder, but he was still fairly sure that his scar would still be there.

He decided to check his shoulder wound, and sure enough it was healed. He decided to try it out, and went over to the training room which he had noticed before. He slung his rucksack over the small of his back. He sent a side-kick to the punching bag and let it sway, following up with a punch with his left arm, immediately bending his arm and striking with his elbow.

=I stand in the flames, the fire to large to be put out anytime soon by rain. I start reciting the ceremony again=

=All her senses fade as she slowly drowns in a mask full of her own blood. She cant stop the shaking, nor can she move her body. All she can do is lay there and cry, hoping that someone comes as she grows cold=

=guilt takes over, I go back to the cell and take the mask off of Aurafell, my face filled with rage, I remain silent=

(He sighs)
(He decides to comm Dormii)

Hey, hows it goin down there

David decides that he hasn't heard any chatter from the base, and decides to check, He opens a comm-link. "This is David, requesting a status update from the base. Draco, if you've heard anything, please respond."

=She fades away, even more rapidly now with the lack of breathable atmosphere. She wonders what is happening in the room outisde her blackened vision. Tears fall gently from her face ans the pool of blood spills from her mask and onto the floor around her=

=I answer the comm as I quickly get Aura's armor on her. I scream into it, voice angry and sad at the same time= JUST FUCKING WELL, thank you.

David pauses and heads to the hangar, opening up a private-link with Draco just in case, "Draco, I'm heading planetside. Coming?"

=Her vision slowly returns to where she can make out basic blurs of color. She slides herself across the floor and clings to Diorrmy's leg and repeats his name, being one of the only words she knows=

Diorrmy...

(he sighs)

Aurafell

=I finish getting her armor on and try to walk out the room=

=A flood of questions fill her mind, and she gets a sharp pain in her lower stomach. She doubles over on the ground, and continues to cry softly, blinded and deaf=

=I feel the urge to kill, rend, tear. To see blood flow and flesh separate. To hear screams and to bask in the death. Just as quickly, it leaves. I pick Aura up and set her on the bed. I go to leave again=

(He stays where he is)
(He begins to drift to sleep)
(His head laying against the wall)
