| Ever since the Otaizine’s first arrived on the continent, Easthur has been rife with pillage and plunder. Carrying with them the Great Plague, they were incapable of building a new empire without ruining all those around them. Many Otaizen people fled once they had footing in the new world, intent on creating their own empire under their own laws, free from the cruelty of their rulers. These are the Caspialga, the ‘Nomads of the Ariadlands.’ The Ljnn had arrived on Easthur many decades before the Otaizine’s, and had links to all but the Maeyr, who wanted nothing to do with them. This was where the Caspialga made their move - while their old lords built great cities on the coasts, the Caspialga made way into the continent and made friends with the Maeyr, who admired their strength, their bravery, and their wit. Over many years, the Caspialga grew into a nomadic peoples, moving across the continent and meeting many of the inhabitants, learning the ins and outs of the many native peoples. Over the space of a great hundred years, the state of Izantin was made one of the powers of the continent, Halid was born in the east, and many cities were erected in the Ariadlands and beyond, as the Otaizen Empire continued to expand. As it did, more and more people joined the Caspialga, and some even went tribal, disappearing into the forests with their kin. The Caspialga garnered many allies, in the form of Maeyr clans, Standurr tribes, and even, surprisingly, the penultimate of those tribal people. With many allies and a growing lust, the Caspialga were already a known threat to the Otaizen Empire. Cattle were slaughtered, farms burnt down, and people were going up missing every day. The armies were prepped, and the Sulanate of Izantin was ready for war. Finally, in 3981 CE, the Caspialga, under leadership of their new Emperor, Anagah, launched an attack on the Otaizen Empire and the state of Ninehul, and begun a blood feud unlike ever before. - You are in Halid. Whatever it is that brought you here, one day you will be thankful for it, be it a simple tailing or an invitation. You know that there is terror in the West now, and you're more than aware of the sadness now plaguing the continent. You're one of few who is free of such disease or sorrow. And now you are here, as fate would dictate you to be. Whatever part of fate brought you here, it will change the course of history. - Timeline of Events:
3772 CE The realm of Uzekidan is raised upon the western shores of Easthur, and the region of Izantin is founded by the Otaizen Empire. In late autumn, the first traces of plague were spotted in Easthur.
3792 CE The region of Izantin expands into the desert of Easthur, pushing out Maeyr and Standurr tribes as cities and lands are raised in the name of the Otaizen Empire.
3801 CE Large masses of people begin to leave the realms of the Otaizen Empire, declaring they will be their own people, free of the oppression of the Emperor.
3809 CE The first dispatches of the Otaizen Empire head out across Easthur to map out the continent and found new realms all across the land.
3816 CE Halid is founded and the Otaizen Empire is pushed out of the forests and back into Izantin by the Ljnn and Standurr people, forming friendships with these people not long after signing a treaty.
3819 CE Maeyr numbers in the Aridlands remain steady for the first time since the Otaizen landed, and the Ljnn raise a sanctuary on the borders of the forest as a means of watching the Otaizen people.
3820 - 3841 CE The Great Plague sweeps across Easthur, reaching all the way to the shores of the Glistening Keys and the peaks of the Duvoknish mountains. Estimates range from 100,000 to 450,000 people effected by the epidemic.
3843 CE The Plague of Easthur begins to dwindle, though it’s effects are still felt to this day.
3860 CE Cities in Izantin are reporting local farms being raided and many goods being stolen. In wake of the plague, it is extremely hard for the Otaizen Empire to combat this.
3889 CE The Otaizen Empire declares control of the entirety of the Aridlands, naming the desert Masuma and raising the Principality of Uzeduel within it.
3890 CE A Maeyr attack force launches an attack on a small farming village and trade route, butchering the people but being caught out by a nearby trade caravan in the process, leading to a rise in skirmishing through the deserts.
3899 CE Maeyr tribes begin to fall subject to scrupulous attack form Otaizen trade caravans and raiding parties.
3900 CE The Otaizen Empire declares any Otaizen people within the region not serving within the lands and cities of the Empire as enemies and allies to the terrorizing Maeyr people.
3901 CE A unified force of Maeyr and Otaizen people begin to raid villages beyond the desert lands, leaving large banners and signs of their work. The Otaizen Empire brands them the Caspialga.
3926 CE Attacks cease as the Sulanate forcefully enlists every firstborn son into the armed forces of Izantin, increasing it’s numbers notably for the first time since before the plague.
3941 CE Izantin, Halid and Ljnn forces form a unified army and begin to invade the lands of the Maeyr to find the traitor Otaizens.
3950 CE The campaign is declared a failure and all forces are withdrawn, the Empire not able to claim a single victory over the few encountered Maeyr tribes and clans.
3951 - 3980 CE Izantin goes silent, with a good thirty years of peace reigning over the region, leading to a boom in trade and commerce, though the remnants of the plague and great recession in Otaizin still have effect as far as Halid.
3981 CE Ninehul is attacked by the Caspialga, and war is officially declared by the Otaizen Empire.

| Edits have been made to the map of Mainne, showing the borders of each state and the locations and claimed lands of each city. Most cities do not reach the edge of their claimed lands - they simply have the land for the sake of having land. | |
