David got up to go into his room's bathroom, looking into the mirror. He had grown a few inches, and found it odd to look at himself at his current height. He turned the faucet on and washed his face, and when he rose, he felt a staggering pain in the back of his skull. A pain so great, he had to brace himself on the counter so he didn't fall to his knees. He looked into the mirror, and realised it wasn't him who was looking back at him, it was his ancestor. Startled, he threw a quick jab to the mirror, shattering it and causing his fist to bleed.

He looked under the counter for what he hoped he would find -- medical tape. After manually picking the peices of glass out of his fist, his headache still throbbing, he applied the tape to his hand.
