=Justin starts dozing off before they get to the medbay=

(He opens his eyes)

(He stands, changes his clothes, and walks out into the hall)

=I snap awake and get to work on my leg=

=I put a Splint on my thigh to stop bleeding, then wrong a ton of bandages around it=

Well.. bright side is not bullet to take out...

=i don't sleep, and i can feel the effects from that, but I'm afraid of what I'll see, what I'll do, if I sleep. I stay sitting on the bed, trying not to sleep=
No, I can't...I won't let myself forget...you mean too much to me...it's not right...I can't...

(He stands and begins walking through the halls)
(Images of the past begin to appear)

(He stops when he sees the place where Torres and himself had fought)

=I remove the splint and stand up and walk around to regain blood into my leg=

(He watches the fight)

(He saw the energy blade got hrough him)
(He drops to his knees, coughing up blood)

=I leave Justin at the Med Bay, then go looking around the ship where I meet Tar-Tun.=

@Tar: Hello Tar-Tun, how are you enjoying this nice flight?

(The memory stops)
(He looks down at the blood that he had coughed up)

Zayne-Man. You are really messed up.

@Tar: Sarcasm is good. Then there are other things you Humans like such as magic and jokes. Do you know much about them?

Scythe does... he told me a joke when we were younger...

Dante-What...what is happening

Zayne-Like Hope said. You are blaming yourself.

(Zayne shrugs)

@Tar-Tun: How do you know Scythe?

=i stand and leave my room, still having no sleep. i wander the halls looking for anyone=

=I walk through the halls, finally regaining full control to my leg=

(He taps on Dante's head)

=I decide to go for a walk through the halls.=

(He takes a seat)
(He decides to tinker with the shield)

@Dormii: Fine I guess, trying to find out about more about 'Jokes' and 'Magic'.

=checks his armors status and see's it's almost done=

Well, I can tell you something about magic. There are three kinds, the kind for entertainment, the kind that is true magic, and the kind that is possible magic.

The entertainment kind is also known as sleight of hand. Basically, you convince the audience that you are doing something extraordinary, when you are only showing them part of what you are doing.

The possible magic, is also known as technology. Someone in our species past once said "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Essentially, if I were to make flames shoot out of the joints in my armor, it would look like magic until you took a closer look and discovered I used two gases or something like that.

@Dormii: What would be 'true' magic then?

True magic is the things that have no explanation at all, the things that defy the laws of physics as we know them. For example, say I have a pen. It is an ordinary pen. If I were to make this pen say, transform into a a fireball, and be able to control that with my mind, that would be magic. Or, if I were to be able to start a fire in hard vacuum, where there is no oxygen, that would be magic.

(He looks at the shield armlet)
(He shakes his head)
(He re-attaches it and looks ahead)

@Dormii and Zeru: How are emotions made then, are they magic?

(On the Pelican)

(Jon goes up to the front with Lynn)

Lynn-Yeah.

(She sighs)

We play the waiting game now

They don't really have an explanation, other than electrical signals to different parts of the brain produce different effects. Like if I were to run a wire through you skull through a specific section of the brain, you could feel massive amounts of pleasure, or sadness, or anger, and so on.

(He listens to the conversation beside him)
(Staying Silent)
(His eyes begin to flicker again)
(Seeing another event)
(This one fuzzy. One from his time with his team)

@Dormii: Really? I have a question about Human emotions. What is 'Love'? I heard other crew talking about it. It is not a word used in Sangheili culture.

Well, best I can describe it, the feeling of wanting to be with someone, to spend the rest of your life with them.

@Dormii: That feeling sounds useless. Like a distraction in battle. Have you ever felt this distraction?

(His memory self sits with his team)

MD-Another successful mission. Great Job.

Jon-We did not need to save those Marines.

(He turns to Jon)

MD-Yes we did. No soldier left behind.

(Jon shakes his head)

Jon-Yeah, if we hadnt stayed Matthew wouldnt be in surgery right now

MD-What happened to him could not have been prevented.

(The memory fades)

Yes, but it can give you strength. When the one you love is in danger, you will stop at nothing to get to them, to make sure they are safe. And yes, I have, I still am. Her name is Jay, or was, I don't know if she is still alive. She helped me stay sane, so my wars didn't escape and cause harm to everyone I met.

(He looks at Dormii)

Do not think for one second that she is dead
