So. Magical girls.

We're set in a town named Agira on the coast of Sicily. Why? Because it's sunny and beachy and shit. It's a fairly sized town, with around 200-300,000 people living there. You attend a fairly middling school in the town. You're not exactly the most intelligent people, but there's something special about you. Because you've been approached with an offer. You can become a Magical Girl and have any wish you want granted. The catch, you owe the rest of your existence to fighting grief, sorrow and despair in this town. For now that you've become a magical girl, you can see the creatures that these emotions create and you can see the way they destroy people's lives.

When you use your power in any way, it drains your soul. Defeating the creatures can sometimes grant a boon of favour. A Grief seed, with which to purify your soul gem, the heart of your magical powers. But you're not the only magical girl hunting in this town. And there's certainly not enough Grief Seeds for everyone.

Bio: Valentina is a local resident of Agira and has rarely ever left the town. Living a fairly quiet but enjoyable life, she has middled her way through school. Four months ago, she was approached with the contract after an incident that affected her life and has since gone to take the North West part of the town as her own territory and hunting ground.

Bio: Isabella was not born in Agira, and moved there two years ago from mainland Italy. Her family is relatively rich, and lives in a villa near the coast. She made her contract around the time she moved to Agira, and quickly claimed the North-East side of the town as her own.
