After that I was chosen to join Viking, a Spartan enhancement program to create puppets of extraordinary skill and strength in CQC and hacking. I was the only one who was considered a "success," even though I didn't maintain the puppet qualities. I mean, I still had to follow the orders, but I could question them, find ways around them. That kind of thing. Eventually, that property, lead to the next event. My third and final team getting killed.

What did they actually do during the Viking program? Was it just training or something?

They increased our blood cell count as well as their size, so we...I can bleed more before passing out and have more stamina. They gave me all the information on physical reflexes, and how to counter and use them to my advantage. Also, increased my knowledge of computers, as in how to break into them.

=One of the SS raises his rifle to Xazhi. The rest do the same=

SS2- Im sorry, sir. But its time for you to come with us.

=Xazhi, not wearing his armor, raises his hands in the air=

Xaz- What the hell is going on here!?

I know. I can still hear them, but mine are multiplied by many, many more souls.

For me, no, they haven't. For you, maybe, I don't know. You didn't actually hear the real ones, those are fakes, recordings, synthesized. Gods, I'm sorry about that.

=Xazhi is filled with rage=

Xaz- Not without a fight!

=He draws a knife and stabbs one of the soldiers in the throat, before using his LIFE link to comm Ghost=

Xaz- Ghost! He-

=The other soldiers open fire and fill Xazhi with holes before he can finish the word. His body falls to the ground, broken and shredded. Ghost rushes in=

Zero- Mage!

=Zero's AI hacks the soldier's brain and shuts it down temporarily=

=She shivers, slightly.=

What about... The blood... Does it... Ever go away...?

=She slowly starts to drift off.=

=Zero walks over to Xazhi's body as the other soldier is hauled off to the medbay=

Zer- Is there any way to save his sorry ass?

SS4- We can bring him to the medbay. I doubt it will work, but they will do their best.

Zero- Do that then. Now, i need to be filled in on everything that has happened in my absence. Everything.

SS5- Right this way, Captain.
