Chapter 8 NAME "Shit Happens" Part 4

*Lt. Tucker*
Your on Haven, a world close to the core of the Milky Way galaxy. As for getting back, I don't think there's any way for you to get home. Sounds like you guys came from another galaxy, and we have no way to cross the void.

A- How the hell did we jump a Galaxy? Is that even possible?

D- Are you Humans?

*Lt. Tucker*
=he looked around briefly at his men=
Anyone here not human?

=none of the soldiers so much as twitched, and Tucker faced the intruders=
Yeah, my boys are human alright.

D- This is incredable! Wait untill the lab boys find out about this.

A- Well, lets just pray we ever see the lab boys again, Dex. So, now that racial intros are out of the way, who the hell are you people?

*Lt. Tucker*
Lt. Tucker, of the Haven military. Now, are you hear to surrender, or fight?

=They each raised their rifles again, each locked to one of the Haven soldier's heads=

A- Republic soldiers never surrender.

*Lt. Tucker*
=I already had my gun raised=
Perhaps you would reconsider? You're outnumbered, and we have air superiority. You might kill some of us, but in the end, you will be destroyed. Surrender, and you will live.

A- Six mags, three detonators, four squadmates... I like the odds.

Give us a moment. Troopers, on me!

=The squad followed Aebeir back into the ship slowly and casually. As soon as they were all in and back into position, they opened fire again, striking one soldier in the head=

*Lt. Tucker*
Goddammit! Open fire!
=all the soldiers there, including the Sentinels, opened fire on the enemy. pulses of plasma lanced across the gap between them, painting the wreck, and hitting some of the enemy troops. Sentinel beams rained from the sky=

=Aebeir looked over just in time to see Fable's leg get taken off by a plasma shot=

A- Looks like theyre pulling out the big guns. Cover me, im going to head to the starboard gun and see if we can fire it up.

=Aebeir ran down the hall and down the stairs to the surviving Starboard gun. He checked to see if it was still in working order, and luckily it was. He fired the last remaining shell for it, and it went with a huge Bang. He ran back up to meet his team=

*Lt. Tucker*
=whatever the hell it was the enemy had just fired, it was big. it hit the tree line, and four of the six men Tucker stationed there were killed=
Fuck! Backup! I need backup!

=his message was sent to Alpha Base. They deployed a frigate that was stationed overhead, and it didn't take long for it arrive at the location=

(Jason)
=I was on my way out of the Council chambers, the meeting concluded, when I had received Silver's message. I took the first teleporter I could find straight to Alpha Base, where I remained in the command center, overseeing the situation=

=A bolt of plasma struck the doorway just in front of Aebeir and sent sparks flying=

A- Fuck! Fable, can you patch yourself up?

F- I think so.

A- There's some medigel in the storage compartment by Lord.

=He fired another burst, hitting another soldier in the chest, before returning to cover=

A- Ammo report!

L- Plenty here.

D- Same.

F- I have enough.

A- Good. Keep firing.

=the frigate took position over the wreckage, aimed it's weapons, and fired. Gauss rounds tore through the wreckage, while plasma weapons painted the ground directly in front of the enemies position=

The CCS Battlecruiser Light of Pride was gone, it was severly damaged and started a heavy descent to the land below it. The Special Operations aboard the ship had boarded one of the attacking cruisers, capturing it in the process. Thousands of lives had been lost, the Admiral had gone down with his ship, and his crew.

Over $93,000,000 worth of cargo had been lost or had gone down with the ship, meaning a lot money went astray.

"This is Fire Team Alpha and Fire Team Echo, we are moving in to investigate the crashsite, over!"

"Fire Teams, you are cleared to engage enemy contacts. Be advised enemy threat, extreme. Infiltrate with extreme caution"

The UNSC, or United Nations Space Command had issued Fire Teams the job of infiltrating the CCS Battlecruiser, to find cargo and prisoners. No-one knew if anybody who went down with the ship was still alive, or if anyone made it out alive.
The lightweight cruisers had made a clear exit, although they did not know about the captured one, that the Sangheili Special Operations had boarded the leader's ship.

*Lt. Tucker*
Hold your fire!
=He raised a fist, and his men and the Sentinels ceased firing. The frigate also stopped firing=

Move up! Nice and slow! Check for survivors. Any of them shoot at you, return fire.

*Private*
what if there are injured?

*Lt. tucker*
Restrain them. Gather them outside, and wait for the transport.
=the troops moved forward, weapons raised=

=They each lied on the floor, unconscious. Aebeir had been hit in the stomach with a shot, Fable in the leg, and Twitch had been killed. For a moment, Dex began to wake up, but quickly fell back into unconsciousness. The once bright white halls of the ship were scorched and melted from plasma burns, leaving black spots all over. It was completely silent=

*Private*
We've got live ones! they're unconscious!

*Lt. Tucker*
Round em up! Put em in restraints, and drag them outside.
=it took a few minutes, but the troops restrained the unconscious soldiers, and dragged them to the entrance. the dropship that brought them there landed nearby, and they loaded the intruders onto it. A few minutes later, they took off back for Alpha Base=

=Back on the Obsidian Wolf, Sigma and his best men had been at work for days straight. They were making progress, but it would take quite a while untill they would have Delta back. A month at least was the estimate. During that time, Sigma took the time to examine the data chip given to him by Xazhi. There was an extraordinary amount of data on it, along with a message containing very specific orders from Delta. Sigma followed them without question. He assembled a team to run the project parallel to his. Within a few days, a new LIFE body was created as an exact replica of a Revaeran body. Sigma himself transferred all of the chip's data into the body's brain, and watched it come to life=

=I let out a breath. The team I had sent suffered some casualties, but in the end, they were able to subdue the intruders, and bring them in on the transport. I gave the order that the intruders would be locked up, in stasis fields. A bit extreme, but these guys had proven to be a little bit more trouble than past guests. Anyway, with that situation under control, I had Silver deploy more Sentinels to secure the crash site, and as soon as it was secure, a team would be sent in. The fact that these guys had come from outside the known galaxy had piqued Silver's interest in them. He wanted to study the ship, learn from it=

=Aebeir began to wake up, suspended in a Stasis field=

A- Ugh.... What the hell happened...? Where are we?

L- We got captured by those Rebels.

A- How are the others?

L- Still out cold. We lost Twitch.

A- Damnit... Alright, so whats the new plan?

L- Havent thought of one yet.

=Aebeir groaned and looked at the floor, still dizzy=

=While Silver had Sentinels secure and scan the crash site, he had asked me to talk with our.....guests. Personally, as the commander of Haven's military, I wanted nothing more than to dispose of the people that tried to kill most of my people, and had already killed some of my people. However, I decided I'd gain more by talking then shooting. I headed down to the containment cells, where the 'stasis' chamber was. It was the special room, for prisoners that proved to be extremely dangerous. I walked inside, wearing my armor=

A- Thank god, a Republic soldier. You must be one of those Specialist types, right? Never seen that armor before.

=Aebeir became a little more relaxed, but Lord stayed wary=

I have no idea what this 'republic' you're talking about is, and frankly, I don't really care. All that matters to me, is the fact that you guys killed most of my men.

L- I think we really are outside the galaxy, Commander...

A- Well, whoever you are, maybe next time you should be a little more cautious about sending threatening droids and soldiers to start a fight. Typically people greet eachother with something like a hello.

(Jason)
=I was silent for a bit, then=
As I recall, you guys fired first, then chose to fire on my men after you were offered the choice to surrender. Not only that, you killed most of my men. Add to the fact that you crashed onto my planet, after we've had a very trying month.

=I let that sink in=
All in all, I think how we responded was not entirely uncalled for.

=Aebeir chuckled at that=

A- Clearly you dont understand how we Republic soldiers work. If we see a droid coming at us, we shoot it. If someone tell us to surrender, we are to take it as a threat and fight back. These are rules we've grown up with our entire lives.

(Jason)
Well, doubt any of that matters at this point. As of today, you are all prisoners, until deemed otherwise. You will be disarmed, both of equipment and armor. You will be assigned cells, where you will be taken care of. Rest assured, that despite any grievances I may have with you, we will not torture you.

=Aebeir scoffed=

A- Take us prisoner? Youve got to be kidding.

L- You may as well shoot us dead right now. We arent telling you shit.

=waits for sun to leave so he can finish his project=

This is not an interrogation. You are intruders on our world, you fired upon and killed some of my men. That is the only reason you are being imprisoned, so I suggest you remove any ideas of self-importance from your head. I could care less, if you were royalty. Whatever information you have, feel free to keep it, for I do not give a shit about any of it. Nothing you know or say, has any real worth here.

=Aebeir decides to be a little sarcastic=

A- I can see how you would think that a chunk of a destroyed ship crashing into your planet is an intrusion. If youre going to take our weapons and armor, i suggest you get on with it. This field is starting to aggravate me.

(Jason)
=I didn't really feel like responding, so I just left the room. Truth be told, if the ass really found the stasis field aggravating, I felt inclined to leave him there. That said, I doubted that it would really get us anywhere=


=the stasis field began its secondary feature, and focused on the individual pieces of armor on the prisoners, stripping them off. At the same time, several prison garments appeared from a slot in the wall. As soon as the prisoners armor was removed and safely stored, the stasis field deactivated=

=As their armor was stripped away, their faces showed. They each looked exactly identical to eachother in every conceivable way. Dex and Fable woke up, their wounds still bleeding=

D- So, what did we miss?

=I headed back to the Command Center of Alpha Base, and checked the status of the Sentinels that were securing the crash site. So far, it was all standard-- they secured the area, and were scanning the wreck. So far though, nothing really worthwhile=

=After a few minutes of simply standing around, the four split up into groups of two, and began sparring. Their fighting was brutal and bloody. Their training session consisted of them fighting untill they could do so no longer, weather due to broken bones, blood loss, or exhaustion. They fought for hours, never stopping for even a moment, untill only one was left standing. Then they all shared a laugh, and tied their wounds with strips of their new prison clothes. They had each taken new scars from the session, and began comparing them like trophies as they conversed, exchanging stories and jokes with eachother, waiting to be shown to their cell=

=A large team of guards was sent down to the stasis room, to guide the prisoners to their cells. The guards were armed with a mix of stunners, and plasma rifles, and they wore Combat Skin. They had orders to stun on site any prisoner that resisted, and were given shoot to kill orders on any that tried to escape, after giving fair warning. They opened the door to the stasis chamber, and pointed their guns=

*Guard*
Alright, move it. Time to go to your new cells. Any of you resist, we stun you on the spot. Attempt to escape, such as flee, or disarm one of us, we will shoot to kill.

Sunrieon:

well not that it hasn't been fun...

=begins to leave the bridge=

actually it hasn't been...

=They simply stare at the guards, still bleeding from their wounds=

A- Why dont you drop those weapons and armor and we'll see who deserves to be whos prisoner.

=The four of them chuckle, knowing what the outcome of that would be=

A- We were literally bred for combat. Not taken as children, not trained from birth. Literally bred for Combat, and trained our entire lives. Lets just see how you out-of-galaxy humans compare, eh?

Xzan awoke, although his vision was blurred. His head spinning from the crash. Heat, surrounded him and he did not know where he was. He removed the rubble that he was sat in, before staggering to his feet. He was still in the cockpit, well what was left of the cockpit.
Much of the cockpit was covered in flames, the central control panel was utterly destroyed and the terminals were wrecked in multiple ways. The Advisers who were stationed at them, were also dead. Blood filled the floor and walls, the place was a wreck. Xzan was leaning against his overturned chair, to catch his breath. He was hurt and could not recall what happened.

"(Cough)(Cough) Is anybody...Out there alive?"

He could hear nothing over the loud noise the fire and the sirens were making. He slowly walked to the door, which was a hard move to make for him. He held his hand up against the door, quickly before he fell. He was okay, but was stunned by the amount of dead, there was in the next room. He was furious at the site.

"Gods above...(Cough)(Cough)..."

=The guards didn't even blink. They just aimed their stunners, each one aimed at a separate prisoners head=

*Guard*
I won't ask again. Come quietly, or we will drop you.

(Jason)
=I had just walked into the command center, when I got another alert, for another ship that had crashed onto Haven. This one caught my attention, because apparently, it was a CCS Battlecruiser, which meant: Covenant=
Oh for God's sake, can't I have a quite week, just once?

=I wasn't going to take any chances. The ship may have crashed, but the crew could be an even greater threat than those crazy Republic guys. I sent a swarm of Sentinels, as well as four dropships filled with troops=

Xzan had made very little progress, except gathering two Advisers and three wounded Minors. There seemed to be no weapons around typical, when you want some, there is none and when you do not want one, they are everywhere.
They had reached the big opening, where there was at least three hundred meters until the surface.

"That is our way out. Think us lucky we survived the crash, the others they...They were not so lucky!"

The Admiral mourned the loss of the others, but pressed on the viewable exit.

=The swarm of Sentinels arrived first. The swarm itself, consisted of over 60 Sentinels. They descended down to the wreckage, weapons primed to fire at the first sign of hostilities=

Xzan looked up, the sun seemed to have gone, and he stopped on the spot, as well as the others who were with him. There seemed to be at least fifty targets, if not more. He was stunned by the sight, could this day go any better.
Xzan slowly walked forward to them, his soldiers hesitated but did so. He came up to them, they backed away, forming a semi-circle around them.

"What is this, I demand an explanation?"

=The Sentinels detected the language from one of the figures, and after a quick scan through Haven's records, recognized it as the language of the Sangheili. They replied=

Lifeforms detected. Classified as the Sangheili race. Status: Intruders. How do you respond?

=the dropships were already halfway to the crash site=

Xzan listened to their comments and clenched his fists, he did not get a response to his question. He ordered his soldiers to his side. He went to whisper to his Minor.

"What is happening?"

His Minor looked back to him.

"I do not know Admiral, they look like they mean buisness"

Xzan nodded and looked back towards them.

"Once again, I ask. Who are you, I demand to know?"

=The lead Sentinel was silent, as it looked for an appropriate response=

=At this point, the dropships came into view. Two of them landed behind the Sentinels, the troops exiting quickly, while the other two landed in the trees, long range specialists exiting, and taking sniping positions. Lt Tucker was among the troops in the forward dropships=

=Aebeir stood still, no traces of fear or doubt about him=

A- Convince me.




=Alpha had taken the Mahogany Star to the Di-Lumnis belt, where she called upon the aid of the Sethalii. They answered, and the three planets began working together once more aboard the massive shipyard that had laid dormant between the worlds since the completion of the Obsidian Wolf. Visible from the surface of each planet in the system, the shipyard lit up the sky with color. Within two days, the shipyard was up to full capacity with workers who had volunteered. The Sethalii were efficient and dedicated. They kept up their efforts day and night without pause, without error. Although it would take many weeks untill it was ready, their project was already taking shape=

=Without blinking, the guard fired the stunner, right into the prisoners face=

*Guard*
I warned you. Now, anyone else want to argue, or shall we get moving?



=Lt. Tucker and his men spread out in a semi-circle, weapons raised. They surrounded the Elites=

=He was knocked back by it, and fought back a scream. He staggered back up, and stared at the guard again, breathing heavily from the shock=

A- If you want us, youre going to have to take us. We arent going anywhere untill we are heard from by your leader!

The Admiral walked foward, with his warriors following him. He made no sudden movements, as he did not know what they were capable of. He stood there, looking towards the ships.

"What, do you expect me to do?"
