Chapter 8 NAME "Shit Happens" Part 5

Zayne: You know you do.

=The screams grow louder=

Draco: It happened... once...

Zayne: Yes, but you loved it.

Draco: Those people.

Zayne: I killed the people on that mission. You killed people in another village.

=The smell of burning flesh enters his nose=

Draco: That... was...

Zayne: The animal in you. You love the kill.

Draco: I vowed... to never...

Not left. Just....wasn't.... Anymore

(Miranda)
=The blade come close to my head, and I instinctively ducked, moving out of the way=
Hey, careful. You'll cut my head off with that thing!

(Jason)
Whoops, sorry.
=I stopped twirling the blade=

Zayne: Never kill again.

Draco: Only in... defense...

=The screams begin to soften slightly, but the blood on the walls remained=

Zayne: Go on. Kill.

=He shakes his head=

Draco: No.

=Kind hadn't even realized he fell asleep. He sat up on the bed and stretched out his arms. He looked around, and got up off the bed. He was still wearing his armor from the waist down, so he figured he must have fallen asleep while he was taking it off. He went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. His hair was showing small streaks of yellow. He went into his Softcase and pulled out a small bottle of semi-permanent brown dye, and began putting it in. After that was done, he washed his hands, and got to putting his armor back on. He hooked his Helmet to his belt, and went into the hallway, shutting the door behind him=

(Miranda)
=I stood up, and noticed a few strands of hair on the floor-- the bastard actually cut my hair=
It's fine, just don't start swinging that thing around when there are friendlies in the room Jason!

=I punched him lightly on the shoulder=

(Jason)
=My free hand held my shoulder mockingly=
Hey, I said I was sorry!

Zayne: Fine. Just know. That you wont be able to fight this feeling for long.

=The screams stop and blood goes away=
=He returns to the world where everyone is and enters the mess=

=He approaches the counter and picks up a plate of smoked sausage=
=His noes crinkles at the smell, but it is what Lynn likes=

=He turns and leaves=

=Approaching the messhall, Kind saw Draco. He stopped, and remained silent. He tried to refrain from shooting him a nasty look=

=He walks past Kind only saying a greeting=

Hello, Kind.

=He continues walking back to his room=

(Miranda)
Yeah yeah, just don't poke your eye out with that thing Jason.
=I walked for the cargo bay doors=

I'm heading out to the cities, walk around for a bit. wanna come along?

(Jason)
With you? I'd go anywhere. Just give me a sec, let me put this back.
=I walked back into the armory, and placed Delta's sword back on the rack, then walked with Miri outside the ship, to a teleporter=

=He says nothing back, and continues towards the Messhall=


=Xazhi was now standing on the entry ramp of the Eirav Wing, saying his goodbyes to Lady Arachne before his departure. He had been given a very important and high-ranking mission by a client who was strange to the 'Nightmares'. He went up to the bridge and closed the ramp, bringing the ship's AI up on the console. The ship fired up, and took off from the landing pad. Once he broke atmosphere, he went into Slipspace=

=Her face brightens, but she tilts her head=

Lynn: Where's yours?

Draco: I never eat right after I wake up.

=She pats the bed, inviting him to join her. He does so after removing the Hydra=
=He hands her the plate and she begins eating=

=We took the teleporter to a random city, not sure of which one we'd end up in. Miri and I came out in a park, with towers stretching behind us, and mountain range with forests before us; Cherlium city. Each city, I had found out, had it's own unique structure, and environment around it. Cherlium, was situated in a mountainous area, with breathtaking views. Osea, was set in a large grassland. Emmeria, was actually a massive island in the middle of a sea, with a very deep gorge between the city, and the water. Thulionum was located in an area similar to Cerlium, only there was no mountain range, just a massive forest. Yuktobania though, was located in a snowy area. Apparently, despite the fact that there was no real equator inside Haven, there were still cold areas, with snow. Anyway, point was, when we exited the teleporter, there was a stunning view=

=He watches her eat. Wanting desperately to tell her. Tell her of the dreams. Of the worlds he has visited. Tell her of the destruction he caused. The secret he had told no-one. Tell her of the blood that was spilled by his hand. Tell her and remove the weight from his mind=

=He just stares into her deep blue eyes and her scarlet hair=

Lynn: This is very good.

=He nods=

Draco: I knew you would like it.

(Miranda)
So, what to do, what to do..........

(Jason)
Not really. Let's find one.
=we started walking out of the park, deeper into the city. There were people walking around, but truth be told, it wasn't like the place was packed. When they came here, there were only 5 million people, spread out among the five cities, and these were big cities. However, population levels were (slowly) rising. Already, there were a few new kids born on this world, the first generation of Haven Humans. Still, like I said, the cities weren't packed, and the towers were mostly empty. Well, the very large towers anyway. We found a small place, that served some interesting new food, mostly fruits and vegetables though. We'd have to get some animals here, start breeding livestock=

=He takes her hand and pulls her in for a kiss. Ignoring the smell of the cooked meat on her breath=

Draco: I see you. You don't need anything. Believe me.

--Ten Minutes Later--

(Miranda)
=Jason and I both sat outside the small restaurant, on the outdoor patio. The sun was bright, but the owners had set up some umbrellas. Jason and I both had salads, simply due to a lack of options. He, just poked at it, taking a few small bites=
I hate to sound like your mother, but eat your salad Jason, it's good for you.

(Jason)
=I chuckled at that=
Alright mom........

=She looks down at the bed=

Lynn: I love you...

=He hugs her=

Draco: I love you too.

=They lie down next to one another and drift once more. They had been sleeping already, sure, but they hadnt been really sleeping=

(Miranda)
=I laughed=
Remember that night you actually called me--

(Jason)
=I cut her off (hey, it was a public area)=
Yeah, I remember Miri...... No need to bring that up, where people can hear.

(Miranda)
=I felt my face heat up a little=
Oh, right. My bad.

=We continued to eat=

=A private transmission begins to repeat offering coordinants to one Spartan, Draco.=
=They appear to be encrypted to prevent anyone else accessing them.=
=The transmissions source seems untraceable, whoever sent this message didn't want anyone else finding it=

=He yawns and gets out of the bed. Surprisingly there were no odd dreams during the night. However he did dream of Ash. Someone he hadn't thought about in... well... a couple of days. He sighs as he dresses himself. He kisses Lynn on the forehead before he leaves for the armoury. It had been transferred there from his room=

=He exits the door. A sound erupts from his gauntlet. An encrypted message=

Hmm...

=He decides to leave for Research and Development to decipher the message=

=A small pelican settled down on the planet below the fuelling station, its jets hushed to sleep returning the tranquil scene to is peaceful state.=

We won't be disturbed here right...?

No sir, we've set everything up just the way you ordered...

And the signal?

Sent, it shouldn't take him long to decrypt cords to this local...

Nothings going to stop me this time...

=The conversation was silenced off as the older man jumped of the ship, he's feet crunched on the frozen earth beneath=

Remember... Stick to the plan, whatever happens remember the plan

Yes sir...

=The pelican began to depart stranding the older man in a series of abandon shacks and ruins, he made his way towards them clambering over the frosted earth and rubble=

=His head is clear. Something that hadnt happened in a long time=
=He enters the R&D room and walks over to one researcher=
=The researcher salutes=

Draco: At ease. How comes the A.I.

"It's finished"

=He nods=

Draco: Very good, thank you. I have recieved an encrypted message.

=He presents the gauntlet=

Draco: Decipher it for me.

=The researcher nods and presents the chip. They exchange and he walks off to await the message=

=After climbing through some ruins the man reached a clearing, the collapsed structure's almost acted like an arena, trapping anyone who fell in them. The man began walking into the centre of the clearing, the ground was a mixture of rubble frozen grass and burned soil, another sign of the uprising that took place here.=

Couldn't have made it better myself...

=He goes off to the armoury for his armour. Once there he walks to the armour stand and begins putting each piece on, after taking off all other weapons. The process takes it's time, but he is soon covered in armour. He places the helmet on last and inserts the chip. The A.I. begins to read him and his armour. Familiarizing itself with him=

=The man dropped is backpack gently, acting with caution he reach inside pulling out a metal military case. He punched in a coded password and unlocked it, the case swung open reviling several weapons and explosives.=

This time... I'm going to win...

=He removed the explosives along with a knife a began placing them in the ground, carefully securing each one turning the arena into a deadly Minefield=

=He hears the voice of a man within his helmet=

"Your architecture..."

=The voice pauses=

"My apologies"

Draco: Atlas.

Atlas: Yes?

Draco: Access the HUD and show yourself.

Atlas: Hold on.

=After a tedious task of booby trapping the ground the man returned to his backpack. He began to prepare his weapons and ammunition.=

Hopefully I won't even need theses...

=Atlas appears on the HUD in the upper left hand corner where Andrea had once taken her residence. Atlas looks of a strong person, A single scar runs down his left eye. His eyes are the color of fire, just like Dante's. His hair, black as the night sky=

Atlas: Hello, Draco.

Draco: Atlas, good to have you aboard.

Atlas: Thank you.

=He turns and begins walking back to the R&D room=

Atlas: A message has been sent to you.

Draco: Open the file.

=The deciphered message plays=

(Jason)
=The rest of the day went by (though it was still difficult to tell when the day's really ended). Miri and I would walk around the city, looking at some of the shops that had been opened. Truth be told, there weren't that many shops. Let me rephrase that: there weren't that many differences in the shops. Because of limited resources, the only things to sell on Haven, were clothes, food, and some tech that was recently made by the people. Other than that, there wasn't much else. Sentinels would fly between the towers, and once or twice, I'd see the new police vehicles above the towers. But all in all, it was a quiet day=

=The man continued to sit alone setting up his equipment, he paused to look at his Tac-pad=
Hmm...

=He returned to working his hands shaking with anticipation, the adrenalin was already surging through his bones. Before the images that had pained him over the last months settled in his head. All the rejection, all the lies and ruin he had suffered... Well now was his chance to change everything... He began maniacal laughing to himself, clearly an unstable mind=

=Co-ordinates were given in the message telling him to meet his cousin at the co-ords. For him to bring no-one=

Hmm...

=He switches course for his room to tell Lynn=

=The man had finished his preparations, his kit was ready, his comms ready, weapons ready. Everything was falling into place, all he had worked for finally in his grasp again. He stood up, carefully making his way into the centre of the field, he adjusted the helmet that sat on his head. It was one of the only companions he had left. He gently ran his hand across it felling all the dents, bumps, and burns it had suffered.=

Now all I need is you...

=The man looked up into the sky, the sun was hanging directly above him but it was hidden behind a cloud of brilliant grey that canvassed the the entire skyline=

Fitting...

=After some time he arrives at his door and gently opens it. The room is still dark and her figure still on the bed. He walks over to her and leans down=

Draco: Lynn, I've got to go for a bit. I'll be back though, don't worry.

=She gives a slight noise to let him know she heard him=

Draco: I love you.

=He turns and leaves his room for the hanger=

=The man continued to watch the sky waiting for conformation, he tapped his Tac-pad=

Anything yet?

=there was a static filled response
Nothing yet Sir, we've sighted nothing...

=The man grumbled turning back to his pack=
You said he got it!

The encryption must be taking longer then we thought...

It better be, we can't blow this chance! Call me if anything changes.

=He cut off the call swing his arm in anger=
Damm fools, what do they think I pay them for...

=A short trip ensues and he finds himself in the hanger of the Whisper of Life. He hops into a Pelican, placing Atlas's chip into the console. He starts it up=

Draco: Follow the co-ords stated in the message.

Atlas: Of course.

=The hanger opens and he flies out of it. Following the directions to the planet below them=

=The man paced back and forwards acting cautiously not to step on the mines he placed early.=
Typical...

=He turned to the ruins he had tirelessly climbed through to get her, wondering if now was the time to call it off. As he took a step closer to them his Tac-pad exploded in scream of static=
Sir! A pelican has been detected nearing the planet.

=The man couldn't help but grin everything was actually going to work!=
You sure its him?

Yes sir, we've traced it back to the Whisper

Excellent... Heh...

What now sir?

Follow the plan! Ready the charges and prepare. Do I have to run everything past you again!

=The transmission died. The man glanced back to the sky, hopefully awaiting his visitor=

=He passes atmo and drifts down onto the planet. The Pelican turns and lowers the landing gear=
=He retrieves Atlas and returns him into his helmet=

=The area around him is that of an arena. One man stands in beaten armour=
=He walks out of the Pelican and walks around to face the man=

Where is Kris.
Who are you.

=The man glared at Draco his hand beating with anger and madness, he had to force himself not to reach for his knife straight away. He coughed clearing his throat and removing his helmet revealing and one eyed Macgraw=

Don't tell me you don't recognize your best friend now?! I know its been awhile but really... How could you forget such a handsome fellow such as myself?

=A wave of anger flows over his mind as images from his past begin to come to the forefront of his mind. Every encounter with him is seen only by him=

=He places his hand on the Handcannon=

=He stepped closer to Draco so they could see each other in perfect detail, his heart was racing he couldn't wait any longer. He needed to break him, ruin him. Just like he had done...=

=He spoke grinning with his patronising tone=

=He sneers. His voice cold, demanding=

=He takes a step forward=

=He halted his laugh taking off his helmet letting it fall to the floor-

=He takes the HC out of it's holster and drops it to the ground=

=He stepped backwards the rage building in him again, even though he was out sized by the Spartan Macgraws stance was incredibly demanding=

=Another grin swept across his face=

=His anger is still present, clouded now by the image of Ash's form=

=he grinned again awaiting the explosion from his rival=

=His eyes grow wide inside of his helmet=

=He runs forward, extending the blade in the gauntlet=
