Chapter 4: Exodus part 2

=hears snow and activates the bases AA guns which sends a simple pinging sounds to his fighter nothing more=

(He sits in complete silence)
(The continuation of the rain is the only noise he hears)
(He stands)
(He walks to the base)
(As he walks in he heads for the training room)
(He continues the work he was doing earlier with the training dummy)

Hey, I'm fine. As long as you are here. =i lie down on my side= I don't blame you if you want to stay here, you know. It's a wonderful planet.

=I see the Triple A guns fire up, shooting around me=

God Damnit!!

=I reach for the intercom, but hit the steering wheel=
=I crash land in a small field just outside the base=

Ok, ok. I'm coming. =i allow myself to be pulled along, laughing as we go=

(He stops)
(The dummy nearly destroyed from the brutality of the kicks and punches)
(He goes to his room)
(He arrives just standing in the doorway)
(He imagines he sees Ash on the bed)
(She disappears)
(He goes to the bed and sits on it)

=i hug her and put my head on her shoulder= I'm guessing that's where we are going?

=I grab my head=

Bad headache..

=I push the emergency hatch release and air flies out and propels the door=
=Once done, I slither out and sit on the side of the Kestrel fighter=

=I watch her fingers count down. As they reach zero, lightning hits= =jokingly= Nice job. Can you make a tornado as well? =i smile=

(He takes off his helmet)
(He grabs his knife from the table)
(He begins to etch in a skull pattern on the visor)

I shrug and head on back to the clearing. Once there i write in the dirt again

"It comes with being trained on here. We learnt to predict where it would hit."

Not bad training, then. But why not just tell me that, back on the edge of the forest?

=i gently put my hand on hers, stopping her from writing= Please, just talk to me. I want to hear your voice again.

=I breath heavily trying to get up=
=I limp back toward the base, away from the crash sight.=

Today.. is going to be a bad day...

=I skip over my limp and trip into a mud pile=

I don't that this is mud...

=i get worried= Jay, please. For me, if nothing else. I want to know nothing is wrong.

I write in the dirt again

"There is nothing wrong"

=i read the note= Then why won't you speak? Was it something I did? Something I said?

(He sighs as he finishes the carving)
(He stands and puts the helmet on)
(He leaves the room)
(He heads outside)
(He looks towards the forest and walks towards it)
(He begins exploring)

Then what? =i go over and lie down in front of her= Please. I won't love you any less, I just want to know why.

=I get up and fall into the barracks, making a loud crash from the contact from Sheet Metal to my armour=

=I limp over and try to relax, rain hitting my armour soothes me..=

=i smile= Ok, that's unfair, teasing me like that.

=i put my hand out= Will you talk again, someday?

(He continues to explore)
(Looking around and at everything)
(The rain continuing to hit his armor)

=i get curious= What is it? Other than a locket, I mean. A childhood memento?

I shrug again and write in the dirt

"No clue. I know its mine but i don't remember it"

Well, then how do you know it's yours? How do you know someone somewhere is going nuts because they can't find their locket?

=i move closer to get a better look=

(He finds himself sitting on a log)
(He looks up)
It was such a nice day.

So, you just know, huh? Can you open it?

=I try to crawl my way to the entrance to the barracks, I can't make it in.=

=I sit in by the doorway, listening to the rain.. and distant thunder.=

=All the sudden, a lightening flash hits the mess hall roof=

AHH! SHIT!

=I shield my eyes=

=i kiss her back. a hand moves up and hold her head when i do so=

(He stands and continues walking away from the base)
(He loses track of his area)
(Surrounded by trees)
(Rain hitting him)
(He looks up and sees a small campsite)
(He stops)
(He looks around)
(He sighs)

They can have so much happiness. So much time.

(He turns around and begins walking back)

=i lie with her and put my hand in hers. after a while i ask= So, have anymore tricks you want to show me?

=I see the lightening flash in more distant areas, flashing enough to see my hands in the dark overcast=
=I lay my head back, hopefully trying to sleep.. but... I fall unconcious, almost dead-like.. yes.. that is a good word. Dead...=

I give a sly smirk and laugh slightly.

In time.

(He makes it back)
(He goes to the pelican)
(He decides to sit right outside of the pelican)

(The rain continuing to fall)

=i kiss her on the cheek when she talks. i smile and joke= See? Wasn't so hard, was it? =i lie back down=

I shrug again.

A laugh escapes from my lips.

=i walk my hand over to hers again, i kiss her hand=
