| Okay, I noticed a problem within the rules of the HRP's and the Character Creation Thread: There is no real rule forbidding creating an Over Powered (OP) character, or God-Modding your character. Now, I acknowledge that this does not often happen, and more importantly it can be somewhat difficult to clearly define what is an OP or God-Modded character, which is why I'm putting this up. I'd like input from everyone on what they feel is an OP character, and reach a consensus regarding how a rule forbidding OP characters can be properly worded to avoid abuse while still detailing what is not allowed. | |

| No Godmodding. A character is considered to be "godmodded" by a consensus of the entire site in a thread. Gives multiple view points.
Admins have the final say.
Pros: Common sense should prevail here. Cons: Means people have to use common sense.

| How about this. If this rule can be made to apply to new characters. Why not make it apply to existing ones too.
Look at the state of the 1HRP currently. It's ridiculous. Even you,. Alex, is at fault for the amount of stupid things in the 1HRP. THings are being pulled out of thin air and everyone's got Ships or Fleets or nations. It's stupid and RUINS an RP. At that point, it becomes more of a childish fantasy story.

| Less of a suggestion for a rule, and more of a suggestion of a fix.
People can always take the route I did, which is to find a way into a battle their shit cant win, and lose either eventually, or in a crushing defeat as with what happened to the XNNOs. I would even say it would be good for one or two survivors to make it away like Alpha did, so that people dont have to start entirely from the ground. But you know, relatively close to it. Seen?

| Then they can come up with another way. But I agree, we should go back to the way things were. I dont know about you guys, but I often look at the end of Chapter Six as being the end of the True HRP. | |
