ZRP-2: Brave New World

Eve knocked an arrow, nodding.

Hibiki racked the rifle, ready.

Miranda grinned. "Let's do this."

Oh boy, he's throwing us in the middle... That's never fun.
Abel gave a half salute, then racked a shell in the chamber, turning the shotgun off safe.

(James)
=We all ran for our own positions, making sure we had clear lines of sight. Only then did I shout=
"Fire!"

=I then fire, reloading as fast as the gun would cycle=

Ohhhh man...I missed the smell of gunpowder in the morning

=I continue to fire, the rifle echoing like thunder, and Shepherds start to drop=

Brook popped her head up, she was int he middle, so her head was visible the most so she was going to try and protect herself the most. She aimed down her sights and shot one shot, two shots, three shots, four shots... One after another she pulled the trigger, firing her M14 at the Shepherds, already killing one and hurting another.

Eve showed why she was Katniss Fucking Everdeen. She fired arrow after arrow, taking down Shepherds with each shot.

Miranda failed epicly. Missing most shots.

Hibiki proved herself worthy of SWAT. She fired swiftly and accurately.

Abel's shoulder hit against the turned over vehicle. He took a couple quick breaths before swinging out from cover. He took aim for the closest Sheperd he saw. Abel hesitated for a moment, he didn't like shooting at other humans, but he heard some nasty shit about the Sheperds. So believing it was justifiable, he closed his eyes and pulled the trigger, showering the man in pellets.

I hide there behind the car and wishing I had given half a thought to grab my rifle.

"I need to actually think to grab my guns. Or at leat my riflw now that it's practrically mine."

Did I just say that outloud?

When Brook went to reload, she noticed Tyler didn't have a gun and she chuckled. She pulled out her .357 and handed it over to him. "Here!' She shouted over all of the gunfire. "We need all the guns shooting at them that we can get!" She reloaded her M14, and went back to carefully shooting, hitting most of the time but missing every once and a while.

Abel let pellets fill the air around the enemy, not hitting most his shots, but at least serving suppressing fire so that James might get around them.

"Oh, thank you..."

I'm pretty sure she didn't hear me, gunfire and everything. So, yeah. I pop up from behind the car and begin start shooting.
Honestly I wasn't that great of a shot. I ususally ran from gunfights at this distance. But with my thoughts on Jennifer...

=I continue to unload into the Shepherds, the smell of gunpowder overwhelming me=

Wow...I haven't felt like this in two years...damn it feels good

Come on now, HOLY WARRIORS, at least give me a damn challenge!

=I continue to fire, my hands now moving autonomously of my body=

Abel felt a little uneasy with Andrew's shouting, he may have good reason to want the Sheperds dead, but Abel couldn't see any joy in taking someone's life. He cringed a bit with each shot he took.

=Most of the Shepherds went down, and those that realized what was going on retreated into their cars in an attempt to seek cover, even flee. Between the Elites on the wall, and the new arrivals behind them, they had no choice. They started their engines and began to run=

(James)
"Yeah, we got em on the run! Keep the pressure on!"

Brook fired one more shot, and it hit a driver in one of the trucks, making the people in it completely vulnerable to their fire.

=I then yell=

You heard the man, KEEP POURING IT ON!

=I continue to fire, my hand feeling raw from cycling rounds in rapidly=

Abel fired at the vehicles, trying to aim for the tires, but they were quickly out of his range.

Eve kept close to Sam, but ceased firing.

Mira accidentally shot one car's tire out.

Hibiki kept her rife up, taking careful shots

=I look to Mira=

NICE SHOOTIN', TEX!

=I then go back to firing=

Okay, so I might've not shot at the retreating Shepherds. I mean, c'mon. They're retreating.

(James)
=The cars began driving away, turning the corner as they fled. Encouraged by this, I stood from cover, loosing another arrow. It flew through the air and broke through the side window of a car, hitting the driver in the head. I let out a triumphant shout of victory as the cars pulled away. One of the vehicles though was a pickup, two men in the bed and firing off their guns in a last ditch attempt to hit someone. Rounds tore at the side of the building I was near, the pavement I stood on. Then I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, as if I had been punched by someone wearing a pointed glove. I stood motionless for a moment, stunned at what I knew must have happened. My right hand reached down to my stomach, and I felt blood pool from the hole there=
Damn.....lucky shot.

"JAMES!"
Hibiki cradled him in her arms, gently bringing him to the ground. "EVE! GET HELP!"
She looked back to James. "James? James, say something."

Eve ran towards the. "WE NEED A DOCTOR! HELP!"

Brook was reloading her M14 when she saw Eve run by screaming for a doctor. She was worried the poor kid would get shot so she followed after her but stayed quiet.

"What? Somebody was shot? I thought we were behind them..."

I would've gone with Brook but I don't know any medical knowledge other then Hibiki, who seems to know the most about first aid.

(Sam)
"JAMES!!!"
=I ran towards him and Hibiki, as she held him, cradled him in her arms. Tears were already in my eyes=
No, not someone else. Not again, I can't lose someone again.


(James)
=I didn't feel a thing for a moment. Then the pain hit me, and I screamed=
"AHHHHHH, GOD!!!"

=I sling my rifle and then pale at the news=

Oh God no...

=I run over to the scene=

Come on James...Talk to me...Don't die on me, man.

=I nearly lose it again=

Abel was still standing at the car, unsure of what to do. So he started walking over to James, keeping his weapon pointing towards where the Sheperds were.

Fuck it...

I start running over to where I heard his scream.

=I look at James, nearly crying at this point=

Dammit, I'm not letting you die here! YOU HEAR ME!

=I then get out a cloth from my pack=

Give me some help here!

Hibiki looked up. "I need bandages! A T-shirt, SOMETHING." She screamed, now pressing her hands tothe wound to hopefully stop the bloodflow.

(James)
=I bucked in response to the pain, my abdomen in agony=
"God, make it stop! Make the pain stop!"

(Sam)
=I was on my knees beside Hibiki and James. I tore of my t-shirt, and pressed it against the wound=

Abel lowered his shotgun and sprinted over to James and the rest of the group now.
"Does anyone know where this Elite base is exactly!?"

Hibiki yanked the shirt away, put Sam's hands there, and quickly fashioned it a bit better. She tied it around the wound, keeping it tight before putting Sam's hands back. "Keep it compressed."

She ran after Eve, hands in view for the guards.

=I go into professional mode..well, nearly professional=

SOMEONE GET A DAMN DOCTOR OVER HERE!

=I keep pressure on the wound as well=

"We don't have a doctor in our group."

It was more of a whisper. The situation seemed hopeless. From what I heard, you don't survive gut shots.

=Soldiers from the wall came out, a gate opening up at the base. They wielded large assault rifles, shotguns, and smg's. They barked orders at Eve and Brook, telling them to get back, and steered them back to where James and the others were gathered. They kept shouting orders for everyone to drop their weapons on the ground, while a man with a white case walked over to James=

(James)
=A man came over to me, a white case with a red cross on the side. He said something but I couldn't make out the words. Then....then things went black=
