Sanctum Academy
Sanctum Academy is located in the hills to the west of New Peragus. Students are all invitees of the academy, after demonstrating that they have the potential to become angels. Prospective students are sent an invitation on their Sixteenth birthday.
Sanctum Academy teaches students various subjects, ranging from Mathematics, Literature and Human History, along with training with their Soul Weapon and subjects like Demonic Biology and History. Students are to live on campus, however, are permitted to visit the nearby city of New Peragus, should they wish to.
Sanctum is located in the smallest region, Sanctum, which is located between New Peragus and Koga, it is taken mostly by a large lake, with the academy located on the western bank.
The dorms are separated by gender and year, with two dorms for each year; one for boys and one for the girls.
Koga
Koga is a relatively large area, geographically wise, however, has a relatively low population, due to the small settlements it’s inhabitants live in. Koga is west of New Paragus.
Koga is mostly flat, grassy land, with several rivers crossing the country. Koga is the eastern region.
Villages in Koga are quite small, with 20 families per village on average. Koga is styled very similarly to Feudal Japan.
The major city of the Koga region is Kyoto.
Lamorak
Lamorak is quite small an area, with a high population for its size. Because of this, the towns of Lamorak are not very spread out, and the buildings are densely packed together. These towns contain anywhere from 50 to 150 families.
Lamorak is mostly open, with large hills and forests separating it from New Peragus and Koga, it is also the most northern of the regions, sharing its northern border with The Ashlands.
Lamorak is very similar to medieval europe.
The major city of the Lamorak region is Pendragon.
Paressia
Paressia is a middle sized region, with large towns covering it. Its population is quite spread out, with large towns containing up to 250 familes.
Most of Paressia is grassland, with a large river separating it from New Peragus, with streams and smaller rivers crisscrossing the region. Paressia is the west-most region. Paressia is found East of New Paragus.
Paressia is very similar to Renaissance France.
The major city of the Paressia region is Gallia.
New Paragus
New Paragus is the second largest region, housing 3 Million people. It is entirely dominated by huge skyscrapers.
The Fire Pit
The Largest region, The Fire Pit is a barren desert, blasted by scorching winds and an unforgiving sun. It is located far to the south, and is inhabited by hardy nomads.
Their weapons are similar to that of ancient Egypt, with Khopesh swords being popular, but they still have access to guns, like most of the empire. The tribes govern themselves and stay out of other tribes affairs.
The Fire Pit has no "major cities", but instead has a congregation point known as The Chasm, where all are welcome to stay and trade.
Magnus
Magnus is a small region, about the same size as Lamorak, but with a much smaller population. It is found North of The Fire Pit, but is still south of New Paragus.
The style of Magnus is similar to that of Ancient Rome.
The major city of the Magnus region is Rikke.
These regions are known as the Empire of Souls, named in honour of the Angels who died in the war.
Travel between the regions is done mostly by a very fast train system, with the central train station being in New Paragus city centre.
The Ashlands
The Ashlands are located in the north. They are a deserted waste, destroyed by years of war.
This was the site of the most battles during the Demon-Human war, with humans using more and more destructive methods to fight against the demons. The Ashlands are inhospitable to humans, and contain barely any life.
Towards the center of The Ashlands, is the old human capital, the original Peragus.
Souls
A soul is an Angels weapon, created when the Angel needed it. The properties of the weapon are based on the creator’s personality, and the type of weapon is influenced on the creator’s home region.
E.g. Someone from Lamorak would have a Longsword or Greatsword whereas someone from The Fire Pit would have a Khopesh.
Souls are unbreakable, and will never dull, however, they can only be wielded by their creator. Should someone else try to wield it, it would be too heavy to use. For the creator, however, they are perfectly weighted and balanced.
Demons
AKA: The Tainted, Forsaken, Hellspawn
Demons are taller than humans, the average being around 7ft tall. They are also naturally stronger than most humans. A demon will not die of old age, however, they can still be slain by disease, poison or wound. They have ash colored skin, and generally have eyes in shades of red or purple . Instead of irises, Demons have no whites of the eye, instead, the area that would be white on a human, is what defines the eye colour, with the pupil in the centre.
Demons are seen as monsters and are hunted ruthlessly when they are found. The reason for this today is, due to their diet consisting exclusively of meat, they often kill and eat humans.
In the past, demons were as civilised, if not more so, than humans, building great structures. When the ancient humans first encountered demons, they found that their co-existence could be mutually beneficial; with the humans teaching demons how to raise their own livestock or trading, and the demons teaching and helping humans build things that would have been far too difficult otherwise, such as the pyramids.
When the demon king known as Leviathan took the lead of the demons, this peaceful existence changed, with the demons declaring war on humankind. The Demonic army was far superior to the human armies, and was overwhelming many great settlements. Because of the demons long lifespans, the war lasted for untold centuries, with the armies attacking great empires throughout history, such as both The Egyptian Empire and The Roman Empire.
With such a war, humankind could not win, until the first Soul Weapons were created. Named “God’s Gift” by religions from all over the world. While few, the wielders of these weapons were instrumental in the downfall of the Demon Army, now known as The Black Legion. Being too few to be used as foot soldiers, these wielders were used almost as a “Special Ops” force.
By 2120, the humans had united against the demons, creating a singular empire that spanned the entire world. The armies of the humans would attack the Black Legion, while the Angels would attack from the shadows.
By 2162, humanity had all but won the war, at a great cost however. The destructive nature of their weapons and the toxic demon’s blood had killed the world, The regions south of Peragus were the only regions still inhabitable, and the region known as The Fire Pit being reduced to a desert.
In 2202, the Demon army made a final push against the humans. The sudden and violent nature of the attack took humanity unawares, and the capital Peragus was taken. Humanity eventually repelled and destroyed the last of the demons, however, Peragus had been taken by the Ashlands. New Peragus was founded in 2205.
Demons are not extinct, however, they have become mindless, feral beasts. They are no threat to the Human army, but Angels hunt them mercilessly.
The year is 2230, 25 years after New Peragus was built.

Fallen Angels
The first Fallen Angels were cast out towards the end of the war, when the Archangel Azazel led his soldiers against the Seraphim's orders. While they sacrificed the lives of many civilians, they dealt a destructive blow against the demons, with Azazel slaying the Demon King. Azazel and his angels were stripped of their titles, and were imprisoned, to be sentenced to death, until Azazel and the other Fallen Angles escaped, had it not been for the still-present demon threat, the Angels would have been engaged in a bloody civil war.
The Fallen Angels hunt demons more ruthlessly than their counterparts, using any means necessary as opposed to a more tempered approach.
