Rei hurried back to Lily, bursting in. If Lily was there, she'd launch into a subdued lecture where, acting like a child, would explain the fight. If Lily wasn't present...Rei went to find her.

I lay down on my bed, sighing as I hit the mattress. I was nervous about this hunt, but excited that it was happening.

Fifty minutes later.

I tapped my foot as I stood at the train stop, katana sheathed at my hip. I glanced at the clock, then at the train times.
Five minutes, I thought, Those two had better hurry up or we'll miss the train.

After I had rested and managed to eat something, I was on my way to the train station, sword in my sheathe and my coat on, a backpack slung over my shoulder with some things I thought would come in handy. Whatever confidence I felt earlier had already vanished, as I was already walking with my head hung low and shoulders hunched. I wanted to avoid attention, not just because this whole rendezvous was supposed to be secret; I didn't want to get asked any questions about the fire incident earlier.

A few minutes later, I reached the train station, finding Lily. "Hey," was all I could say.

"Hello," I answered Jason, adjusting my shirt at the back, "Now we just need Rei,"
I glanced at the large clock again, the train would be here soon.

"She should be here soon...." I shut up for a bit, head looking at the ground and not at Lily. "So.....did you hear about what happened earlier?"

"I did," I said, "But I didn't want to ask; you looked depressed on your way here ," I looked at him over my shoulder and smiled a bit, "It sounds like those bullies will think twice next time,"

Rei finally arrived, all her weapons strapped on and her eyepatch secure. She was panting, face fluahed.
"Fell...asleep...sorry!" She managed, gasping a bit.

I heard Rei running, the sounds of her feet moving over the ground along with her deep breathing. Barely turning to face her, I couldn't even look up. "At least....at least you're here."

=had seen rei taking off and decided to follow her and see what was up=

Fifty minutes earlier

After that breif moment with those people I began to realise how much of a stalker I seemed like. That thought was reasoned off as "some thing I did when bored." I layed on my bed and stared at the ceiling trying to dose off. I moved my hand toward my alarm/radio, there was an advertising for a new store in the mall nearby. My mind raced through thoughts until it landed on a memory from a newspaper I read earlier.

"Oh yeah, there was a sale on pocky sticks...hmm."

*sigh*

"The next train gets here in almost an hour. I guess ill wait."

*present*

The train had arrived at the station. I stood there watching as people got off and on. I soon followed suit and found myself an emtpy cabin.

=gets to the train station and gets onto a cabin with the student from earlier=

what're you going here?

As soon a I got comfortable in an empty cabin a student I faintly recognize sat down in the same cabin.

"I have business in another town."

=pulls out some beef jerky from her bag she'd brought with=

I opened an empty train cabin and sat down, placing my soul across my knees.
"You didn't need to bring all of your weapons, Rei,"

I looked out the window.

"No thanks."

I figured I may as well defend Rei a little. After all, she did defend me earlier. "Well....if we're hunting a demon, it never hurts to have too many weapons, does it?"

I glared at Jason as soon as the words left his mouth,
"Lower your voice," I half hissed at him, "Do you want everyone to hear you?"

Okay, I never said it that loud. But the hiss and the glare combined......well, it made me cringe like I had been slapped, and I looked down at the floor and even tried to curl back in my seat. The way she responded really made me wonder.....what the flying fuck did Rei even see in her?

Rei blushed, then frowned. "I know its a secret Lily but there's no reason to be so mean!" She crossed her arms."don't make me come over there!"

Despite myself....I held up a hand. "No Rei, it's fine. I should know better than to speak in a private compartment on a train." I couldn't really put anything into the sentence; no malice, no anger or cold ice like she did. Perhaps that's what made it so creepy to me. That it was devoid of anything.

I scowled at Jason in response to his comment,
"You should know better than speak about it at all, baka,"

I looked out of the window as the train started to pull away from the station. As it reached full speed, I stood up, opened the door and walked out,
"I'm getting a drink," I said, not turning around, "Try not to ruin everything while I'm gone," I added coldly towards Jason, and walked down the train, shutting the door as I did.

I stood up out of seat and fixed my shirt. I turned to my cabin companion.

"Be gone for a min. Restroom."

After opening the door I left the room.

The scathing remark she made as she left did nothing to improve my self-confidence. Especially if I had hoped she and I would be friends. Right now it was starting to look more and more like I was an inconvenience to her and this whole plan. "Should just jump off the train right now..." I muttered to myself.

=nods as he leaves then turns head and stares out the window enjoying the view=

Rei sighed softly.
"She's much better once she drops the bitch attitude." She promised.

"One can hope," I said. "Otherwise....well, too late to do anything. Unless surviving a jump off a moving train is doable?"

"Not really Jason." Rei replied. "It's a good way to die though."

=gets bored so grabs a newspaper and begins reading it=

It was enough to make me laugh. Which probably wasn't a good sign. "I just wonder who I am here right now Rei. A friend being asked for help. Or just a map that's meant to shut up and do as it's told." I wasn't sure if Lily, or anyone else for that matter, was standing outside or not listening. To be honest I almost hoped she was. I'd never be brave enough to tell her face to face.

I found the the cart that carried drinks and food, and bought myself a bottle of water, before walking back down the train.

Shaking my head, I turned back to the window, gazing out through the glass as the world passed by. "Maybe you see her in a better light than I Rei, but so far....so far all I've seen her in has given me the impression that she's mean. That she's....not someone I'm confident in being around."

"Jason. I see the best in everyone until their best doesn't outshine their worst. Her best covers her bad side. You just have to look."
She just stared out the window. "I'm in love with her Jason. I can't change my feelings, nor will my feelings say whether or not her worse side outweighs her good."

"Not asking you to change your feelings. Just.....eh, nevermind. We don't know each other well enough for me to give you advice or for it to be taken. Besides, who knows how long either of us will be alive during this trip, right?"

"Lily and I will make sure everyone gets home alive. Dont worry." Rei smiled.

"Yeah well.....see to yourselves first. I'm not worth the trouble if things hit the fan."

In the perfectly normal fashion that often dictates events that people are unaccustomed to, Nick repositioned himself to such a station that he was now looking through a window at a young man and young woman conversing. He was, to say the least, hanging off the side of the train, his wire, that he uses to set traps and smoothly travel through areas that can traversed by means that are not walking was caught by the train, and he now is stuck riding along with it, until the next stop or destination. Needless to say, He was now eavesdropping on what was probably some form of private conversation, and found himself in the presumed position of an awkward social encounter, that he could avoid if he simply moved himself back to the top of the train cart as opposed to its side, which he now stood.

Rei glared. "Everyone is worth saving, even if you feel like leaving them to die."

Not really having a response, I shrugged and slumped back into my seat. Though I had a nagging feeling, making the skin on the back of my neck crawl. Like someone was watching. Or listening. "You ever get the feeling you were being watched Rei?"

"The eavesdropping jackass is standing on the side of the train." She said calmly. "I'm debating on wbether to skewer him or cut the rope holding him to the train. Havent decided yet. Least his aura is nice. A nice ocean blue, intense, calm...hmm, pretty passive." She looked out the window again. "Maybe I'll just stab his crotch and let him crawl home."

Being a vigilant one, Nick decided remove himself from the side of the train to the top of it. A much safer position, since he needn't fear any sort of poles or branches or stray arrows or katanas to the face. Taking the dynamic route of heaving himself over the edge of the train he clambered ever so elegantly before hugging the trains roof for dear life and kissing it as he fell. Blood sprayed coating some of the iron roof in red, bringing his hand to his nostrils he confirms the sudden observation that his nose is in fact bleeding. He 'harumfs' and lets the blood run over his chin and drip onto his shirt and jacket, creating what would probably become a red stain. Not that he minded, they were just things after all. except for, perhaps, his pugionis. They were not just things. They were a reflection of him, in some way or another.

"Eh, maybe you shouldn't. Better to scare them than harm them really."

I open the door to the compartment where Rei and Jason were sat, and returned to my seat in silence, taking another sip of my water as I sat down.

Rei smiled softly and lightly, and carefully, flopped into Lily's lap.
"Are we there yet?" She teased.

Sighing, mostly at the childish of Rei's antic's, I slumped back into my seat even further. There was going to be quite the impression of me left in that seat, and I didn't even weigh that much. Removing a book from my pack, I set to reading, leaving Rei and Lily to their little....moment. Then again, maybe they needed some privacy.

"We won't be there for a while yet, Rei," I said, "Sit up, you're going to make my leg go numb,"

Suddenly, Orion was on the train too.
He was sure that, as time went on, he'd be able to get in on the plot.

He looked around, tapping his feet a little. He'd been polishing his sword for... pretty much the whole trip now, as it had become something of an addiction. Kind of like his ability to wander in and out of areas had become a bit of a curse - sitting on this train, he realized he had no idea where he was headed.

He headed out of his compartment and knocked on the one next to his, sliding the door open and looking in, looking at the people and recognizing some, especially the woman sitting in the seat just ahead of him.
"Hey, do you guys know where this train is headed?"

I blinked at the new comer, who had opened the door to the compartment and asked where the train was headed. "Uh....you don't know?"

"The first stop is in the main station in New Peragus, then to Lamorak, Paressia, South Magnus, and then to Koga and Sanctum," I said, looking up at the newcomer, he was from Sanctum, I'd seen him around the Academy.

Rei sat up in Lily's lap obediantly, then glanced at the newcomer. She closed her eyes and concentrated, feeling out his aura. Red...no, firetruck red. Intense but transluscent.
"Hi." Rei said.
