Chapter 6: Complications part 2

=The noise comes to a stop, but very faint noise is still audible. Xazhi's voice is heard=

Its okay. Its over now.

=i open the door=
Lori? Xazhi?

"Tell you in a minute." He stood, grabbing his helmet and putting it on, "I don't like the sound of this."

=They are both sitting on the bed, Xazhi holds Lori in his arm. She cries, but he is trying to stop it, and from showing the emotion himself. His helmet is next to him on the bed, and he speaks softly=

Please... Stop crying. Its over... Whats done is done, there is nothing we can do about it now...

Xazhi, please tell me you didn't...

=I walk back to the rooms=

What is going on?

David shrugged, "No idea, Snow." He looked back to Xaz, "What did you do, Xazhi?"

=I look into the room and observe=

=Walks around and walks pass everyone=

Whats going on?

=He looks up at Dormii=

What do you want?

=to Xazhi=
Making sure you followed the rules.

=i turn around=
Okay, out. Everyone, out, now.

=i push everyone out and close the door behind me=
Let's just leave them alone.

David nodded, going back to his stool, taking his helmet back off and continuing his temple-massage.

=I sigh=

=I begin to walk away=

=Walks to the hanger=

Damn headache.

David looks up at Snow, extending a hand, "Long time no see. How's everything been?"

=Lori continues crying softly=

L- I feel tired...

Its okay, just go to sleep. You'll feel better soon.

=He lays her down in the bed, takes his helmet, and gets up to meet Dormii outside=

You should leave her be for now. She's had a rough day.

=I shake David's hand=

=I turn to walk away again=

=to Xazhi= I can imagine. You still have yet to give me a reason to trust you with her. Care to give me a reason now?

=He thinks for a second=

Because i helped spring you from jail...?

I trust you with me, but not with her. Give me a reason to. Did you do something to her?

He blinked, and sighed, going back to his massage.

After a minute, he picked up his helmet and looked back to Dormii, "I'm going back to check up on Nikolaus, if you need me, comm-link me."

=He puts his hands up in mock surrender=

Hey, im innocent in this.

=I return to the medbay to sleep=

I've seen longer days..

=I close my eyes and sleep=

=i put anger in my voice, perhaps a bit too much=
Do not lie to me about this. Did you stab her, poison her, or do anything else that would threaten her life?

The Doctor Snaps up from his apparent unconscious state and looks around the med-bay. Breathing deeply he gets off of the bed he had been put on. The Med-bay seemed darker. Ominous. He realizes his Personal Statistical, Geometrical, Medicinal and Otherwise Smart A.I Tactical Gloves were still on his hands. The PSGMOSA.ITG was not a one of kind. but it was the first. The original Idea spawned by by one Edward Horwitzer. Hard to believe the man was now one hundred and ten and pushing daisies. The Doctor shakes his head and checks the screen on the left glove. He looked at his current cerebral frequencies. The readings shewed a disturbance, but was unable to identify it. The Doctor looks at the recently recruited Black Hand members.

"Come on, let's go. I need to be out of the med bay."

The Team Follows him as he wanders the living quarters of the ship.

(He shakes his head)

*Yes?*

(He stands and heads out the door)

David walks back into the medbay, noticing the cot is empty and his team is nowhere to be found. He opens up a comms-link, "Where the hell are you guys? I'm at the medbay."

(He heads off to the training room)
(Begins his training regiment)

=He does the same=

I did nothing. My hands are clean.

=i turn to walk off=
Okay. I believe you. Don't make me regret that.

(After some time had passed he finished the workout)
(He sighs)
(He goe out of the training room and back to his room)

(He smiles)

(He leaves the door open and sits on the bed, music entering the hall again)
Back to meditation

=He goes back to his room and falls asleep=

=i walk around the ship, my usual tiredness multiplied from the lack of sleep for the past few days=
Can't sleep. Sleep means forget. Can't forget. Won't forget. Need to stay awake.

(He looks beside him)
(Another vision of Ash sleeping)
(He smiles)

May as well walk around some more. Who knows, I may get to do something good.

Whilst Wandering the Halls with his Escort, the Doctor sees the familiar figure of one Dormii Fortuni. The Doctor looks at him for a moment: Analyzing him. He appears to be suffering from sleep depravation.

=i see Nikolaus with a squad of black armored people=
Nik. People I don't know. I'm guessing you all are with David? He said there might be some black-armored people roaming around. Can I ask what is going on?

"Following the doctor, Sir. He's talking to someone that appears to know you." David sighed, "Coordinates, now, please." Then, a waypoint showed up on David's HUD, "Living quarters, David." Someone said -He didn't know who, he was too frightened-, and David briskly made his way over to the living quarters where he previously was. When he arrived, it was easy to tell who Nikolaus was, "Nikolaus, thank God. Please, lemme know when you leave or something?"

"ah yes. my posse-of-sorts. They are my ...Protectors. As you know i have a rather.....peculiar past. Anyway, I'm glad I ran into you. How are you?" The Doctor says with sincerity.

=I continued my jog, which has slowed to more of a fast walk=

Damn, this really is a big ship. But still, why a hybrid? I thought the covenant were not only more advanced, but despised human tech.

=I keep walking=

Still, better not to read to much into it, unless offered a history lesson. Don't wan't to give the wrong impression.

David joined the squad next to Nikolaus, punching him in the side lightly.

I'm good, kind...I'm good.

=i try to smile=

The Doctor gives David a look. Turning to Dormii, "Look, I can see your trying to force a smile. From my years of experience that tells me that you are hiding something. It would be easier if you just told me what was the matter."

David looked back to Nikolaus, listening intently to the story David had already heard, listening for any changes or differences.

=i sigh=
Basically, I made a wrong that deeply hurt the one I love, and I can't fix it, because I don't know where she is. I'm not sleeping, until I fix it, or at least try.

The Doctor sighs deeply, "Dormii. You can't fix it if you aren't well rested. Sleeping helps the mind learn. We sleep so that our brain can process what happened during the day. If you don't sleep your brain will eventually shut down!"

=my mind goes fuzzy, unfocused=
Can't show weakness. Must stay awake. Must stay strong. Can't forget.

=i start walking off, slowly=

David sighed, "He's having an episode again? Marvellous."

Sternly, the Doctor says, "Dormii, Even the mightiest of beasts lay down to sleep. Sleeping is not a weakness, and I don't know why you don't want to forget what is you've done, but you won't forget it if you sleep. the longer you stay awake the more likely it is you WILL forget."
