=bullets pinged off my shield, and I dove for cover=

=I try to hail Dormii on the comms again=

=i yell at the smugglers from behind my crates=
Hey! Smuggles! You guys can't hit me!

=i fire my shotgun and emit another Scream=
I mean, I'm righ here!

@Jason : Who knows?

=Gets out of cover and shoots a few. All missing=

=I lean out of cover, and fire a few rounds from my rifle=

I can't get a clear shot!

=I open a comm to Dormii=

Hey Dormii, if you don't mind, I'd like to try something.

@Jason : Keep him distracted!

=Takes a few more shots, killing the guy who was shooting at them=

@Jason : He has to be close!

=i decide to get into my comfort zone, CQC=

Hey! Smuggles! I'm coming for you!

=i throw a grenade and wait for it to go off before jumping the crates again and engaging in hand to hand combat. i smash the shotgun across the face of one target before kicking another in the leg, snapping it=

=I radio to them both=

Dormii, Justin? If you can hear, me I'm going to try something, and I don't want anyone to panic.

=Without waiting for a response, I activate the suits camo pack=

Like I said, the suit was designed for a black ops team, and it was a prototype. Granted, it can only stay like that for half a minute, but that's enough

=While cloaked, I sneak up to a better posistion, and take a shot. One of the smuggler's goes down=

=Looks confused=

@Jason : Where did you go?

=Peaks out of the wall he was hiding behind=

Its clear. Lets get closer..

=i comm Jason back=
Only ones panicking are the smugglers. I'm as calm as can be.

=i turn and punch another smuggler, knocking him into one of his buddies=

=I de-cloak, and move closer=

Justin, it's me. I'm over here. Move up, i'll cover you.

=I aim my rifle=

@Jason : Got it.

=Justin runs as close as he can go, and takes cover=

@Jason : Now what?

=I motion towards the smugglers=

Keep them under fire, I'll handle the rest.

I had to give the guy credit: he handled himself well in a fight.

=i emit one final Banshee Scream, then grab and throw another target, coincidentally, directly towards where Justin and Jason are. Another set of rifles open up, forcing to take cover again=

=a body lands directly on top of me and Justin=

@Jason : Yeah, Sure

= Pushes body off and starts firing randomly at the smugglers=

= I cloak again, and rush towards the shooters. I get behind them, nice and quiet, the training and experience kicking in. I de-cloak, and pull out my knives. the first gunner goes down, my knife going across his throat. The other turns around, hearing their partner gurgle. They raise their gun at me. I sidestep them, and bring my other blade into their chest, a sideways hammer=

=Still shooting=

@Jason : How come you get all the fun?

=i see a Spartan de-cloak behind the shooters. i hold my fire for a moment, to see what happens=

Hes mine!

=Reloads the pistol, then focuses on the last guy. Justin shoots six times. The first hitting his leg and making him fall. The next two hitting him in the chest. The last three hits his head.

@Jason : I think i got him

@ Justin- You think? Dude if he gets up right now, I'm declaring a zombie apocalypse, so help me god.

=i stand up from behind the crates i took cover behind and walk over to the center of the room=
Yeah, I'd say you got him. Thanks for the help. And Jason? I'd be right there with ya.

=Justin laughs=

@Jason : Yeah. Cause that happens to dead people huh?

=I look at Justin=

Well, I doubt it. If it did, then we'd have an interesting form of shock-troops for the covies, wouldn't we?

@Jason : Yeah, Oh here's your pistol.

=Hands the pistol back to Jason=

Haven't used a gun in a long time.

@Dormii : How did you even get in this mess?

=I look at Dormii=

That's what i'd like to know. I thought you didn't fight.

=i kneel down next to one of the bodies=
I'm sorry. I didn't want to do this. You could've just left the ship, kept your lives and your souls. I'm sorry.

=i stand up. to both=
Zeru found out about some smugglers, or something like that. Wanted me to get rid of them. Was hoping they would've just left the ship. Guess some people just want to do as they want, regardless what happens to others.

=to Jason=
I fight, i just would rather not.

@ Dormii- Don't we all.

@Dormii : Finally. Some action on the ship!

Anyway, thank you. Both of you. We can leave this place as it is. It'll be cleaned out and everything either incinerated or spaced.

=i start leaving, intending on going back to my room for sleep=

@Dormii : Bye Dormii

@Jason : Thanks for helping. I would've been dead.

=i manage to get to my room without incident. i fall asleep in my armor on the floor=

=I start walking back towards the ship=

No problem man, and nice shooting.

=I reenter my ship after parting ways with Justin and Dormii, and head down to get my armor removed=

So, an ex ONI agent, smugglers on a hybrid ship, a Viking that doesn't enjoy fighting, a man that gets hyper on tea, and a partridge in a pear tree. Sounds like the opening to a bad joke

=I head down to my room, and begin to take off my armor=

Okay, tomorrow, just ask. Because with the way things go on this ship, you may never get a chance.

=I finish getting the armor off, and get into bed for some sleep=

@Jason : Yeah thanks. Nice knifing.

=Walks to the mess hall=

The Doctor stays in the mess-hall for the night. Meditating, or sleeping while he meditates, either way his mind is at rest.

=i wake up, noticing Lana is still aslseep. I put my arm around her=

i hope she won't mind...


=i fall back asleep=

(They enter space)
(He takes off his armor in the back)
(He brings out the knife and begins to carve markings on the armor)
('Ash' on his left wrist)

Andrea, can you hear me?

Enter slipspace and tell me if any covenant fleet are in the area.

=I wake up in the medbay=

=i wake up, noting that I am on the floor. i get up and head to the messhall, practically falling asleep again when i get there=
