The Last mission

Ethan and the other Spartan from his squad lay on their fronts watching the covenant base that was their target. This spartan was Jake, the squads leader. These two were the infiltration team. The other Spartans would be causing an explosion on the other side of the citadel, giving the two a brief window to get in and set up the bomb that lay between them.

=Ethan drew his magnum, this was the only weapon he could use while carrying the bomb=

=The distraction bomb sounds, making the place explode with activity

Jake and Ethan sprinted into action lugging the bomb between them-

Five minutes later and the bomb is in position and Ethan is starting to arm it.
=Jake= All set lets-
=Jake is cut off as the point of an energy sword appears through his chest. Ethan had his magnum in his hand and was shooting before the Elite General had withdrew the sword.
The elite lunged at Ethan and kicked him hard, sending him into the wall before hitting the bomb and taking a final shot the the head.=


=Ethan exclaimed= Ah crap, timers fried...
=Comm to rest of squad= Get moving, this things been damaged. I have to set it off from here.
=After a pause, spartan= Understood. See you in hell soldier.

Ethan looked at the bomb and stepped towards it and entered the detonate code.

Ethan opened his eyes to blackness. His HUD was showing that he was almost dead. Ethan sat up pushing the rubble off of himself. He set off his beacon waiting for UNSC ships to pick him up.

Ethan walked onto the pelican that had landed nearbye and sat in silence as they flew towards the nearest ship.
