Oh, good. I had a little run in with some new guys, but I'm good.
=One of the bodies stirred, and I heard a faint moan. I put a shot into his head with my rifle=

=I got to the door at the other end. According to the schematics, I was about to enter what was called the "factory floor." And it was huge, bigger than the barracks. I'd have to take the elevator at the right of the room, to get to Harper's office=

Okay, now for door number two.

=I pressed a button, and the doors opened. I was greeted with the most shocking site I had ever seen, and it was, familiar. In the room, the room as a big as a hangar, were dozens and dozens of pods, all in rows, and all filled with bodies, floating in some kind of liquid, and a breathing apparatus over their face. Suddenly, without warning, Harper's voice crackled over my helmet's speaker's=

*Harper*

Beautiful, isn't it? Welcome home, Jason.

=I slowly walked into the room, stunned=

What do you mean, "home?" What the hell is this place?

*Harper*

Do you know the story, of Jason and the Argonauts? Jason was tasked to recover a golden fleece, from a kingdom to the east. However, he had to complete a set of tasks to obtain it. You see, Halsey had the right idea: an army of super-soldiers, bred to defend the UNSC, from both internal and external threats. But what she failed to take into account was that the children, necessary to become Spartans, lacked in number. We could not wait for these children to be born, especially once the Covenant began glassing all our colonies, killing of our candidates. So, we took the best of every existing Spartan, and engineered you, the perfect soldiers. You are clones, of the true Spartans.

=The Marines huddle up=

Nolan - Expect an attack soon, Get rest, do whatever. I'll have the engineers repair the base. Get it up and running, Hooah?

Your memories? Implants. I'm sure they have already started to fade though. As for your degeneration, that was a side effect we could not stop. Our cloning technology is good, but we have yet to find a way to halt the degeneration of cells.

Threats, all of them. They threatened the UNSC, and they had to be wiped out, like the cancer they were.

=The Marines go to sleep. The rebels wait a few days before attacking again. The engineers wait for Nolan and his squad to wake up before going to the power plant. Some Marines take turns patrolling the base in Warthogs=

1 - Repair that command post. It will be useful. You, Repair the vehicle depot with him. We can use it to make these blueprint models. You and you, Work on the Weapon building. You four work on the homes. The rest, follow me to a Pelican, We are going to go to the Power Plant.

=All of a sudden, from out of nowhere, two sniper rounds, tore through my suit. The first, hit me in the chest, but my shield stopped it. the second though, tore through my leg, and I was on the ground in pain. I looked up, and saw a black clad figure, walking towards me, holding a sniper rifle. He chuckled=

*Leo*

And now, I'm about to take care of the last piece of cancer, right now.

*Harper*

And as for your friends, I've sent them a little something, just to show what I think of them.

He did say to take everything...as for the guards. I don't know, but I got a bad feeling.

=i roll my arms in their sockets, loosening up. i grab my rifle and hold it ready=

=I somehow managed to get up, though it hurt. Leo dropped the rifle, and stood in a ready stance=

=He charged me, a fist swinging at my head. I blocked, and returned a punch of my own, this one getting him in the chest=

=I aimed a kick into his groin, but he got out of reach=

=He screamed, and charged at me again. He swung a kick at me, but I grabbed his leg, and was ready to break it when my arm went numb, and it couldn't move=

=Leo saw it, and he got out of my grip, laughing=

Problems keeping control? Yeah, I had that problem too, till they started giving me these.

=He pulled out an auto-injector, similar to mine, and injected himself. With one hand, I reached for my pack, and pulled out my own. I injected myself, and the numbness faded=

=The engineers get to work. The Marines patrol the roads. The rebels stay at their city. The weapon facility shoots a mortar the the hill, almost hitting a patrol Warthog=

Patrol - Nolan! We are being shot at from an unknown location! I am driving to your location, Get ready!

Nolan - Marines! Get up now!

=All the Marines wake up, they all get to the Falcons=

Ward - I got a signal, they are in the Mountains. I'll take a squad and the Vulture, Take a Falcon with Your Fireteam.

=The Vulture takes off. The falcon passes it and heads toward the facility=

Lance - Thought of a plan?

Nolan - I saw a map. There is a path all the way down the Mountain. Send a "Troop"hog just incase. We go to that place. I sent coords, and Marines attack from there. The Vulture and Falcon gives support.

(Jason)
=This time, I charged him, and aimed a jab at his head. He was always too slow, even for a Spartan. I broke his visor, and he went down=

*Leo*

Oh, you son of a bitch!

=He got up, and tore off his helmet. He did not look good: It seemed that the cell degeneration was hitting him more than me=

heh heh, the years have not been kind to you Leo.
=I knew I was stupid, but I took off my helmet. hey, I was a sportsman, and it seemed fair=

=Leo charged again, screaming this time. He and I traded blows, and it was almost like one of those old, Anime fighting shows, only much slower, and no flying, or bursts of energy. I blocked and countered, and he did the same. it dragged on for nearly two minutes=

Yeah...very odd. Let's keep moving...

=we head out, following the map to what may be a way to the laser=

(Jason)
That's it, this ends now!
=I waited for my opening, and I brought out my knife. With one motion, I slammed it into Leo's eye. He never made a sound, he just went limp, and died=

=I took out my knife, and headed for the elevator, to Harper. I got in, and went up. When I walked out, Harper was sitting at his desk, in a lavish room, a glass of bourbon in his hand=

=He pushed a button on his desk, and the wall behind him un-tinted. Behind him, was a massive, underground cavern. Inside, was a wreck, of some massive ship. I recognized the look of it=

A Forerunner ship? You found, a Forerunner ship?

*Harper*

Yes. We still haven't managed to unlock all it's secrets. But it has responded to our touch, and we learned some interesting things. From what we can translate, this ship, was called, a "KeyShip." We don't know the details, but apparently, this ship, was like an ark. It carried genetic samples, or alien DNA. From what we can tell, this DNA, is neither human, nor Covenant in origin. It's Forerunner DNA. Highly degraded of course. Apparently, the ship was damaged in an attack, but by who or what, we have no idea. We only managed to get the DNA, before the ship died.

(Jason)
=I started to get a strange feeling=

And what does this have to do with me?


*Harper*

We took the Forerunner DNA, and filled in the degraded gaps, with Spartan DNA. Apparently, our species, are very similar. You are not a full human, Jason. You, are a hybrid, of both human, and Forerunner.

(Jason)
=While I listened, in stunned silence, I saw the screens on the other wall. I saw Dormii and zeru, running down a hall. Another camera showed that the room they were about to enter, was another section of barracks. And the troops in there, were ready. Hell, I think I saw a cyclops=

(Dormii)
=i turn a corner into a room filled with soldiers and at least one Cyclops. I say at least one because that's all the time I had to look for before the soldiers started shooting and Zeru and I took cover around the corner=

Sonofabitch! Where the hell did they come from?!

=i stick my rifle around the corner and start shooting blindly=

=His words troubled me, but I knew enough to know what had to be done. I laid a hand over his eyes, pulled out my gun, and I shot my own father=

=zeru starts shooting as well. i peek out and fire a long burst for taking cover again=

Hang in there guys.

=I couldn't leave yet. I was one.....man, and it wouldn't matter against that army. I had to call for help, but firt, I had to shutdown the laser=

Argo, can you control the laser from here?

(Argo)

=I jumped from the armor, into the computer on the desk=

Of course. The weapon, is now under my control.

(Jason)

Okay, send a message to the Trophaeum. Have them come here. And use that laser to destroy the orbital defenses.

(Argo)

The Covenant ship explodes. being completely destroyed, no survivors.

It begins searching for another ship to pick off, while following a ship on the base of something called Vigil.

(Jason)

Argo, open a path for Dormii and zeru to get out of here. Close the doors as they go, but get them out! And set the laser's reactors to overload.

=shoots the lights out runs at them activates impact mode and carves through them jumping on sareth and starts plants a bomb in him and before slammed into a wall=

dormi lets go

C'mon! I'll cover you!

=i aim and shoot a few soldier who were aiming at Zeru=
C'mon! C'mon!

You want to blow the base? With yourself inside? Why?

(Jason)
This place was my home, and I did terrible things. It's only fitting, that it be my tomb. Now, set the reactors to overload. Give Dormii and zeru enough time to get out of here. And when they exit the base, go with them. Take my message to Miranda, okay?

(Argo)

As you wish. Reactors now overloading at a steady rate.

=i run and throw my rifle under the door. i slide and almost make it. my right arm gets caught and crushed under the door=

Oh, and one last thing. Open the door to the Forerunner ship. I want....I want to be there, when it happens.
=The doors opened, and I walked to the wreck=

=I left, and jumped to both Dormii and Zeru=

=i screamed some more as the door moved downward again=

=i couldn't feel my arm anymore. i sat up and tried to move it to where i could see it, but nothing happened. Then the adrenaline kicked in again and i grabbed my rifle and started running again, not really caring that i just had my arm amputated=

=I kept walking to the ship, while alarms blared=

*Core overload, in fifteen minutes*

=I opened a comm to Dormii=

Hey, Dormii! You guys need to get out of here, now!

(Dormii)
=i practically yelled back with hysteria and shock=
NO FUCKING SHIT WE DO! I JUST LOST MY ARM GODS DAMMIT!

=As I got close to the ship, I winced in sympathy=

Ouch. Well, I suggest you hurry. This place is about to become one giant mushroom cloud.

=i turn and fire one handed, and in my off hand to boot. i didn't realize i was shooting at nothing, i just needed something to keep me calm-ish=
