Zombie Story: Threads of a Tire

this is where a safe zone is in Ireland:

=Xazhi looks out of the window of Nightmare Tattoo, onto the streets of Westfield=

Not many of those fuckers out there today... Damnit Adam, where the hell are you...?

=He sighs and stands up. He goes over to the reception desk to check the internet=

I keep an eye out for any updates on the web about any cures or vaccinations. No luck. I leave the building, grabbing whatever food I find, and work my way back towards the small shack I call a home. I jump over a trench someone made along my way.

=I walk through the somewhat unchanged land=

=I keep my finger on the trigger because of the thick woods=

I hop over another trench, this one containing a Zed, or zombie. I hurry past, hoping it doesn't know I am there. I keep moving, keep heading home. I see the walls of the Safe Zone, and feel a bit happy, knowing I am close. I reach the edge of the slums and keep going.

=I stand at the opening of Boston Harbor=
=Looking out unto the ocean=

Hmm....

=Bo begins to growl and a Zed runs up behind me=
=I turn around quickly. Shoving my Saiga-12 in it's gut, placing the barrel in it's mouth and pulling the trigger=

=I look to my Jeep, walking over to it and tapping it=

It's been a long run, mah friend.

=I lay there on the ground, in my cell=
=Sleeping=
=Hoping for escape=

Rich...

=I clear the woods and head up a hill, I overlook a broken town=

=I take out my map and try to find my location=

=Xazhi hears a creak of the dor. He readies his sword. Adam enters=

Xaz- Damn, i thought you werent going to make it.

Adam- Im tougher than you give me credit for, Xaz. So, where are we going? We cant stay here much longer.

Xaz- Rumors tell of someone in Barns Airport just up the road offering transport to Boston Harbor.

Adam- And then what?

Xaz- Well, there are ships in that harbor. Im sure nobody will miss one. There is another rumor of a safe zone in Ireland and Great Britan. I think that would be the best choice for now.

Adam- Alright. What should we bring?

Xaz- We should just take what we need to survive. Food, water, basic medical, and our weapons.

=He gets up and goes over to the door. They head down the stairs, and out the front door into the morning sun. They start down the street towards the Airport=

=I open the trunk of the Jeep and begin unloading it=
=Ammunition, some medical supplies, some melee weapons, what was left of his and Bo's food supply, water, and blankets=

=I sigh sitting in the cleared trunk. Taking out my cross=

May ya light mah way.
May ya light her's.
Grace us with ya prescence.

=I begin to shiver from the lack of warmth=
=I had no blanket, just my own body heat=

Rich...where are you...

I get back home and look over the list of things I need to get extra rifle. I still need a a few yards of fabric. I don't know why but the gunsmith loves fabric, but she does. I grab my rifle again and head out again. I head off towards the nearest town, looking for a fabric store.

Damn her. This makes no sense...

=They stop at the Hotel up the road, and go in looking for supplies. They find nothing useful, and move on. They head up the road untill they get to Barns Airport. They enter the main building=

Xaz- Be prepared. The only way onto the tarmac is through this door. Opening it will set off the alarms. Be ready for a fight.

=Adam nods and readies a bowie knife. Xazhi opens the door, and the alarms go off. They rush out onto the Tarmac and see a man sitting by a helicopter. The man looks up and draws two pistols. Xazhi and Adam wave to indicate they are not infected. The man hops into the cockpit and fires up the heli. Infected begin to climb over the walls and onto the airstrip. Xazhi and Adam board the Helicopter. It takes off well before the infected reach them=

Pilot- Once we get to Boston Harbor, you're going to be on your own. Im heading back to Barns and evacing everyone i can.

Xaz&Adam- Alright.

=The helicopter flies off towards Boston=

=I life up my rifle to my eye, looking through the scope=

=I see a few people walking on the streets below=

If maybe I can kill these off...

=I look around, slinging the rifle around my back and pulling out my SL8=

=I slowly stalk my way to the city, passing a sign that says 'WELCOME TO LONDON'=

=I hear Bo begin to growl again=

Great...

=I take my pistol. Outfitted with duel soda can silencers=
=I get out of the trunk, facing a small group of about ten Zeds=
=I begin firing into the group=

Aim for the muther's heads

=I hug against a wall of a building=

=I take a Swiss Army Knife and flip open the scissor attachment=

=I wait for a Bandit to walk past, I cover his mouth and snip his main artery in his neck and drag him into the shadows=

=I continue killing them=
=Not long and bodies litter the ground=
=I begin going around and pickpocketing the corpses for anything=
=I collect about one-hundred and sixty dollars from the corpses=
=I go back to my Jeep and sit in the back again=

=I hear the cell door open=
=A voice=

Man-Get up.

=I do as he commands and follow him=

=The helicopter comes in over Boston Harbor. It lands slowly on one of the many large docks and drops off Xazhi and Adam before flying away and out of view. Xazhi and Adam begin searching for a suitable ship. Something small enough to be maintained by just them, but large enough to hold four or five more=

=I see a helicopter land nearby=

Hmm

=I head off to where it landed and took off=

=Adam pokes Xazhi and whispers to him. Xazhi turns around and sees someone off in the distance, just far enough to not be able to see his face clearly. He keeps one hand on his Katana, and uses the other to wave to the person. He shouts=

Xaz- Hoi, there! Friendly?

=I see another man standing sentry=

=I pick up a pebble and chuck it at a piece of scrap metal near him, it makes a clank=

=I looks and I proceed to stick the knife into his chest=

=I wave back and shout=

Yeh!
I aint wantin no trouble.
Just tryin to git to the safe zone I heard about.

=I am tossed into a "messhall" the other prisoners eating=
=I go off to a line and wait for my food=

=He takes his hand off the Katana=

Xaz- Whereabouts you headed? We're on our way to a safe zone we heard about in Ireland or England.

Well, I figured I might as well head off to the safe zone in Ireland.

=I approach them=
=I shrug=

Didnt hear nuthin about a safe zone in England.

=I get my food and go off to a table=
=Looking at the disgusting food=
=The only thing that makes it better is the small portion=

=I head up to a building and peek my head through the window=

=I see tons of people in it and I quickly retract my head=

Xaz- Damn. Well, i guess we cant believe everything we hear, can we?

Adam- Hey, Xazhi! How about this one!?

=Xazhi looks over at the small ship=

Xaz- Damn. Nice find.

=I force the food down=
=Taking a small sip of my water=

I need to get outta here..

=I look around for an escape=

Xaz- The more, the merrier. Im guessing there's room in this thing here for whatever ya need to bring.

=He steps onto the small ship=

=I begin to walk away from the bandit area=

=I head off to my Jeep. Loading my things back up and driving it back to the ship=
=I begin unloading everything, again=

=I stand up. Immediately being pushed down=
=I take my tray and bash the man in the face=
=As he is stunned, I grab his pistol=
=Firing it into his head=

=I begin to make a break for it=

Im not stayin here

=I hear gunshots and immediately point my gun in its direction=

=I kneel down=

=I run through the junkyard=
=A maze of junk=
=I kill any one of the fucks that kidnapped me=
=I make it to the door=
=I hear people behind me=

Hmm...

=I retreat to the woods, on my guard=

I find a gun shop.

Maybe that rifle is here...

I open the door and walk in, my current rifle ready. It's a bolt-action black and steel .22 caliber rifle. Not the best, but it's what I brought with me from my home. It's carried me through a lot, so I like it. I hear a shuffle. I stop and aim at where it came from. A crawler turns the corner and starts moving towards me.

"Ahh hell..."

I aim carefully and put a bullet through it's eye. I rack the bolt and continue my search through the store.

=I get everything loaded up and into my claimed room=

=I rip off a car door and use it as a form of cover=
=I begin opening the large metal door=
=Hearing yelling and screaming=

Xaz- No problem.

=He turns to Adam=

Xaz- So. She needs a name.

Adam- Umm... Blue Star...?

Xaz- No. It needs to have a better ring to it than that... Azure Star...?

Adam- ... Azure.... Comet?

Xaz- Thats it. Azure Comet.

=Xazhi climbs aboard and smiles=

Xaz- The Azure Comet. I like it.

=I take my pack of cigs out and take one=
=I light it=

=Blowing out some smoke=
=I sit down on my bed and begin thinking=

I need ta keep mah promise

=I hear a gunshot. The pinging of metal=
=I force the door open and run out=
=I look down both streets and begin to run=

Ha! You cant keep Ellie Frost locked up!

=Xazhi heads below deck and checks out the ship. It was fully carpeted, as if someone had been expecting someone to live there. The middle room had a couch, a coffee table, a TV, and some other misc things that made it just that much more homely. Xazhi goes over to the room on the opposite side of the ship from the Cargo hold, Starboard side=

Xaz- I like this place already...

=Adam goes to the room across from Xazhi and unpacks his backpack. He then goes up to the bridge via a ladder on the outside wall between his room and the one next to it. The ship starts up, and begins to pull out of the Harbor, and out to open sea=

=I feel the tug of the boat leaving the dock=
=Bo is layin on the bed next to me. Sleeping=

=I pat him on the head and head down, below deck=
=I take a short drag and blow out the smoke=

=I enter the lower level and look around=
=Tipping up my hat=

=I run off until I can no longer=
=I stop to catch my breath=

=I go into a walk until I see a bicycle=
=I hop on and begin following the signs=

=Xazhi closes his door, hangs up his coat, drops his backpack, and goes to bed=

=I sit down on the couch=
=Puffing a few times before putting the cig out=
=I tip my hat down and drift off to sleep=

I check through the store, finding a few rifles, partly buried and damaged, but not the one I want. I take them with me, putting them around me using the straps. I work my way back to my house. I put the new rifles in my trunk and hop into bed, blowing out the candles and going to sleep.

=is currently walking along the near the safe area keeping an eye out for anything[/u]

=I walk into what looks like... A village. It was almost completley covered by nature, if you could call it that. I grab hold of my Shotgun, and begin to walk further into the village.=

=I pedaled for what seemed like an eternity=
=Stopping a few times to scavenge for anything I could find=
=After awhile I stumble across a village, overgrown with brush=

...Great...

=I hop off the bike and continue on=
=Wathing out for any Raiders or Zeds=

=I carry on through the Village, after a while, I come across a... Store by the look of it. I walk over to the door, and attempt to open it. Locked.=

=I continue on until I see a store=
=A person standing outside of it=

=I duck behind a wall and watch the person=

Doesnt look like a Zed.

=I kick the Door open.=

Looks... Safe enough.

=I enter the store.=

Hmm...

=I pop out of cover. Taking out my baseball bat=
=I sneak my way to a window looking into the store=
=I pop up my head so I can see what is happening=

=I look around the store.=

Well... Doesn't look like there's much here.

=I walk over to the counter.=

=A Zed walks up behind me=
=I can hear it's moaning=

...

=I turn around and bash the bat into the Zed's head=
=As it falls, another comes up to me=

That idiot!

=I bash that one's head in=

=I hear the moaning of a Zed outside, I head out towards the sound. I see two Zed's on the floor, and a woman with a bat.=
