Now that I think about it, none. I don't really eat in the cities that much. However, I've heard good things about this one place. It's got good food, and it's not expensive.

=we arrived at the restaurant ten minutes later. It was a moderately large place, and the people that owned and ran it did some decorating to make it look more human. We walked in, and seated ourselves at a table (the sign said seat yourselves) and we waited for a waiter=

=we ate a lot, or at least I did. We had small talk, and 30 minutes later we were done. We walked out, still talking about a few things=
So, what else is there to do here?

(Jason)
Not much. I mean, we have stores, and most of them sell clothes and food. I know that some people are working on electronics stores, and even some have found a way to make a few arcades.
=I saw the looks=

Hey, these guys learned fast. They managed to take some of the low grade Forerunner tech, and make some pretty good games.

(Dormii)
Anything interesting?

A few. Nothing really fancy, just your normal arcade shooters.
=we kept walking for a bit=

=as we walked, my stomach started to hurt. It wasn't the food, it was just the wound. Hell, I could already tell there would be a scar=

Any gyms or sparring arenas?

=the names kept repeating. I managed to limit them to a dull roar, but they were still there=

A few. Granted, there aren't that many sparring arenas, but we do have boxing and some martial arts in the gyms.
=I noticed a slightly pained expression on Miri's face=

Oh no. Getting shot in the stomach is fine for me.

You may want to get it checked out. Untreated wounds can turn into a real bastard. Hell, even treated wounds can go bad.

Well, anyway, the reason I was asking about the gyms, is because I got some energy I need to burn, and that's the best way I know how to do it. Hell, maybe even spar with you, Jason.

Uh, sorry, can't. I have to meet with the Council soon, and explain our situation. That, and I have to do something I'm not sure I'm really prepared for: I have to arrange, and hot, a funeral. Well, 60 funerals, but it's all one big one.

(Dormii)
Ah, well, I guess that's a good enough excuse.

=i gave a small smile, to let him know I was joking=

(Jason)
Yeah. I mean, I know they knew the risks, but......
=I took a deep breath=

Hell, I trained with some of them. I sent them out there, and they died for my choice. That isn't going away. And then I have to tell their families, give them a flag, and bury an empty casket.
=I walked away from them, consumed in my thoughts=

=I walked up to him, and touched his shoulder, and he turned around=
Jason, you made the only choice you could. What happened to them, probably wasn't fair. But they did know the risks, and they accepted that, because they wanted to defend their home.

As Nikolaus Oehlberg thought about his life ahead of him, his thoughts brought him to the boys current location. A Med-ship, different then the one they had shared. The boy was on a lost ship, in a region near a shield world. This ship was of no alliance, it was a ship built to trade medical supplies, and it had been lost. The ships VI was corrupted, and the coordinates it dialed in for the slip-space jump was in an unknown region. It so happened that this unknown region was also the location of a Shield world. The Doctor remember this, though he himself had never visited it. He had no doubt that it resembled the shield worlds in his memory. Rather, his genetic memory. This was a strange era in human history, many things would come to pass, much like the mutated Flood slowly consuming the UNSC colonies. Now, the boy was wondering what sight lay before him, what marvel. The ship was facing the shield world, and all hands could see it. All were stunned.

The Med-ship sent out a distress signal, hoping that some life aboard the planet, Haven, would have some able-bodied mind to respond.

(Dormii)
You made a choice that was the best at the time. No one could've asked for anything more.

(Jason)
Doesn't make it any easier.


(Silver Light)
=I received yet another distress signal, from a large ship. I contacted the Inheritor again=
Inheritor, another ship has appeared. It's sending another distress signal.

(Jason)
Oh, for fuck's sake! Alright, have the fleet move into position around the ship, and hail them. Ask them what they're here for, and make sure they don't land. If they try to land, shoot their engines.

(Silver Light)
Affirmative.
=I hailed the ship, and gave them the warning. At the same time, I instructed Haven's fleet, a small number of them, to mobilize around the new comer, and have it within weapons range=

(Dormii)
Hell no it doesn't. But it's true.

[The Med-ship is contacted]

Captian: "This is MED-7, Medical-Trasport and Trade ship. We appear to have had a VI Malfunction. Most of out system are down. Please, we have sick and wounded on-board. Hello? Anybody out there?!"

The Captain looks down, "Sir! we're being surrounded by ships!"

"Aye, we are, not much we can do about that."

Crewman: "Sir?"

Captain: "Well, if were going to be surrounded, we might as well bring the others out of Cryo, give 'em some last waking memories."

Crewman 2: "What do you mean sir?"

Captain: "I mean I think we're all gonna die. Why else would all these ships surround us? It's like a big 'Fuck you', if you know what I mean."

The Crewmen, mortified by the Captains words begin bringing the sick and injured, and the doctors and interns, out of cryo.

Captain wrote:

"This is MED-7, Medical-Trasport and Trade ship. We appear to have had a VI Malfunction. Most of out system are down. Please, we have sick and wounded on-board. Hello? Anybody out there?!"

(Silver Light)
Understood MED-7. Please wait one moment.
=I contacted the Inheritor again=

Inheritor, they are a medical/transport ship. They apparently have wounded.

(Jason)
Aww hell, fine. Have them land on the outside of Haven's shell, and make sure the at least one Frigate watches them. When they land, deploy Sentinels to keep a watch on any personnel that may exit. Hell, tell them to stay on their ship.

(Silver Light)

=I relayed the Inheritors instructions to both the fleet, and MED-7=

Well, there are a lot of Inner Colonies, and probably a lot of uninhabited planets out there. Maybe one of those?

i don't want to be completely secluded from society...

I'm sure there are plenty of those. The Covenant couldn't glass all of them that quickly.

Well, this ship long range comms, right? We just go on there into the UNSC networks, and look up all the different planets.
