Chapter 1- 'Welcome to the Wasteland'

"ben you are not going to have feeling in your arms"
=i walk out of the building going to the nearby trader=
"you have any blankets?"
=surprisingly they did i give him 20 caps for it they have no use for it anyways=
=i walk back in i tell ben to sit up and i put the blanket under him hoping that it is more comfy than a brick they call a bed here=

=I write "thamks, much beHer."
=I shake "no" because of my horrid writing.=
=I write again, "I can't live like |his. =

"ok i'll try everything i can"
=i put ice on it smack his arms a bit=
"ben i'll be gone for a few days i'll visit you soon bye"
=i go to the old library i read all the books about feeling and nerves=
=i barrow a chemist set from the old beaten down lab in the town=
=i start to put one chemical in another as im staring at a book im hoping it'll work after a few days i visit ben=
"drink this it might make your feeling come back. it will boost the nerves so they will do an extra job. which to a person with normal feeling it would hurt if someone touched you. your nerves dont feel anymore so you will just feel just like before."
"oh i hope this works"

=I sigh a silent sigh and grab the concoction.=
=I look up to her then drink it.=
=I nearly vomit from the taste but I managed to get it down.=
=I cough then cough then cough again, That was sour/bitter.=
"Hey, by the way my voice is back. That was terrible."

"can you feel your arms?"
=i grab his arm and shake it hoping the medicine will start flowing through his arms=
"by the way i have some good news the nurse said that you can get out of this dump in 2 days!"
"i'll be right back"
=i walk out of the room starting to talk to the nurse=

=Esther stopped her reflection to brush her bedraggled hair away from her dirty face=
=Finally she had removed the door's obstruction allowing free passage between her room and the rest of this shack=

=Cautiously she gathered her things and quietly step out into the hall wanting to escape before her host demanded something for her stay=

"You must've been exhausted, it's nearly noon."

=Esther jumped at the sudden crack of Nicholas voice, that had broken the monotonous silence of his shack=
=She turned to face him, still unsure of his character=
Is it?

=She had no idea of the time, she had hoped it was only sunrise, but now her early start was ruined=

=The word was alien to Esther, she'd never heard of 'crops' before=
=Her eyes twitched silghtly when she saw her host smile=

That look, she's never been exposed to farming, or it's jargon.

"Hm. I need to walk."
=I move myself to where my feet hang off the edge.=
=I stand up and nearly topple over. I caught myself before I fell face first.=
=But after awhile I started walking again.=

It was lie, but it's not like anyone would know who he was this far from the Mojave.
