=I watched as the crew followed Leo for the ship, then turned to face the others=

Your ships will be finished in another 30 minutes. I suggest you take this time to prepare, and get organized. We load up and launch after completion.

=We came to the ship and I turn around to face my new crew=
"You know what to do! Start loading the ship, now."
=They do as they're told and start=

=Half an hour later, the other four ships were complete. The Aigion, the Icarus, the Cornucopia, and the Worthingon. Once all four were complete, the crews went to work with their captains guiding them all. A mix of Sentinels and crewmen worked together to get the cargo on board the ships, and soon, the cargo bays were full=

All ships, how are we doing? Is the cargo secure?

(Leo)
"Cargo set, ready when you are."

*Torres*
Cargo is safe and secure.

*Williams*
Crew is at their stations and awaiting orders.

*Jenkins*
Ready to go on your say so Admiral.

We really should have gotten a bottle of champagne for this.

All ships, you are clear to go. Just follow the flight-plan Silver gave you, and head for the coordinates listed there. And one more thing: Good luck.

"Alright lets get this show on the road!"

=They do as they're told, obeying crew I must say.=
=After about two minutes we're ready.=
=The doors open and we take off, good I might add.=
=Its a nice cruise up.=

=The other Captains gave the all clear. the engines of the ships immediately burst into life, lifting them from the dry dock of the shipyards. They made their way for the entrance tunnel=

=Miranda and I stood in the Control Room of the complex, watching the status of the ships progress. Truth be told, it was rather empty, with only a skeleton staff here to monitor everything. I accessed a comm terminal, and hailed the small task group I had set up in orbit=
Scout Flotilla, this is Admiral Shepard.

*Scout Flotilla*
This is the 1st Scout Flotilla reporting in Admiral. Are the cargo vessels on their way?

Affirmative. Follow them to the coordinates, then drop out a safe distance away. I want you to keep an eye on them, keep them safe in case ONI tries anything.

Understood Admiral. Over and out.

=After about twenty-ish minutes or so Kinsonix makes it out and into space.=

=The ships made the jump to slip-space, slip-space drives opening the portals before them. Behind them, the 1st Scout Flotilla, comprised of 1 destroyer and 4 frigates, also jumped into slip-space=

=While I doubted that Parangosky would really try and back stab me on such a beneficial deal, the Council and I agreed that it was better safe than sorry. So, we had organized this little group of ships to monitor the exchange, while maintaining a safe distance. I would have loved to go with them, if only to break the boredom, but Admirals seldom get to go on frontline missions like these=

"Yes. Do it. Fix this. Punish those who did this. Take revenge for her."

No, she wouldn't want it that way. I can't do it. I won't!

"You must! Take revenge! Kill the UNSC!"

=i slowly lost the will to resist against the voices. I felt my fear and sadness turn to anger, slowly and carefully=

So, want to go out and celebrate? Maybe get some dinner or something?
=I started walking for the door of the room, heading out=

I can see I don't have much say in this.

=It took us a few minutes, before we exited the complex and reached the terminal=

=After searching through most of the files stored on here, I found coordinates that I believe to be the headquarters, I sent Jason a message, to be honest, I wasn't sure if I was coming back=

Jason, Ive been called back by the head General of GloboTech, I know this is probably going to be a trap, but If I don't go they will come here, I'm not sure what they have, or what they plan on doing. Instead of putting more lives in danger, id rather leave, and keep this place as it is. If I die, or don't come back, don't bother looking until you find a reason to look. Ill be leaving soon, im not sure when ill get there, but when I do, I expect the worst. Good luck Jason, I hope everything stays peaceful.

=The team, despite it being night time, was still exploring most of the ship. After they had succeeded with the hack, Silver Light was able to work his way into the ships systems and learn all that he could about the ship and how it worked. What's more, he was able to open the ship to the team. Still, they had to rest. The camp site itself was simply comprised of one large tent, the size of a small house, several tables, sleeping bags, and of course, the two troop transports=

=I received Jeremy's message. I didn't like it, but it was his own neck to risk. It killed me that I couldn't do anything to help him, but there wasn't much I could do, without putting Haven at risk=

=Miri's words jogged me back into reality, and I got my bearings. We were sitting in a restaurant, by the ocean in the city of Emmeria. The restaurant itself, was built into a large building or structure, hollowed out in convenient areas. While there were no fish (yet, as they were among the things listed in the manifest given to ONI) the food was still good. The pasta was made from crops here on Haven. We had arrived here maybe twenty minutes ago, and thankfully, the place wasn't really fancy or anything, so no strict dress code=
I'm sorry, what?

God, is it too much to ask that we can have a nice conversation, while eating?
=Was I sounding juvenile, and uptight? Maybe. Truth be told, it's not how I wanted to sound, but when your fiance starts ignoring you after you ask about when the wedding's going to be, you tend to get a little juvenile. Well, maybe me anyway. It's not like I was speaking for the rest of the female side=

I was asking, when are doing the wedding, if at all? Should I just take off this ring?

=In all the hiatus that had been going on, what with the saving of the refugees, and the management of Haven, I had forgotten the most important thing, ever: My engagement to Miri=

Oh, right yeah. Sorry, I was drifting there for a moment.

For a moment?

=It was nearly a month standard OW time since the Space-dwelling XNNOs discovered the 100-year-lost planet dwellers. In that time, with the help of the Sethalii, cities were already being built, and the population was exploding. Especially with Sigma's new toy. Sigma had collaborated with the Clone soldiers, now SS Officers, trying to replicate the Cloning facility they had come from. It was a success, and in no time the Armada was fully stocked with fresh blood. Not to mention the new ships that had been built using the wreckage from the OW at the Stardock in the Di-Lumnus belt. Delta had received a message from Xazhi, telling him of what he knew about what happened to his son. Delta, being his normal self, was immediately angered. Neither of them aware that he was sent there to assassinate Jason's wife, they took his death as an act of aggression against the RSS. But, the worst news of all was what became of the Eirav Wing. Delta knew that the Eirav Wing was updated with the latest XNNO news and military plans periodically, and what information was stored there could very well start another war if fallen into the wrong hands. He knew he had to be swift and stealthy. He decided to send out a ship, Recon-S1, loaded with a squad of SS Elites, to Haven. Their mission would be to find and recover the Eirav Wing, and take be picked up with it by Recon-S1 before the Haven Military could figure out what happened. Recon-S1 jumped to slipspace towards Haven, and Delta prepared himself for the possibility of large-scale conflict...=

Sorry, it was just, I got a message from Jeremy. he's leaving....again.

(Miranda)
Jason, not to sound shallow, but why should you care? I mean yes, he's your friend, and from what you've told me about him, I'd be honored to call him my friend as well. But he's a soldier, who can clearly take care of himself.
=I looked out at the sea, sunlight shining off it's surface=

But, none of us are getting any younger here Jason. And with that attack by....
=I kept my voice low. No one else was supposed to know about this=

=I turned, and smiled a little=
That's sweet Jason, but i'm being real here. If I'm going to die, then I don't want to die with regrets.

=I reached across the table, and placed my hand on his=
We almost lost each other, twice. Once when you left me on the Serenity while you flew to your death, and once when I was shot by that Spartan. We've come so close to losing each other Jason, and I just want to make sure, that if.....when, the day comes that we have to truly say goodbye.....we say goodbye, as husband and wife.

=Damn sea spray, making my eyes tear up like that=

=i closed my eyes, my last attempt to fight off the voices. I squeezed Jay's hand more, trying to focus. I felt all my fear and sadness start to fade, melt down and reform into a jagged spike of anger aimed at everything around me. It hurt, it hurt a lot. I couldn't focus. Jay, was here, right here in front of me, but I couldn't do anything. I couldn't help her, I couldn't SAVE her. I couldn't do anything but wait=

"Don't wait. Act. Fight! Fight back! Take revenge for this!"

=I thought about the UNSC, everything they have done. It was something to focus the anger on, something to keep the others safe. I was losing it again. I couldn't fight it=

So, I'll ask again: Are we, or are we not, getting married?

(Jason)
Yeah. Yeah, we will. Just, give me some time Miri. Let me get things in order.
=I wiped at my eyes for a moment. I wasn't crying a stream of tears or anything, but what was there made it pretty hard to see. We finished eating, and left soon after, back for the Serenity=


--Outer Surface of Haven--

=While the surface team rested, Silver Light still worked at the data within the ship. Numerous files were read, and recorded into the Haven archives, after being cleaned of any potentially dangerous programs. Weapons files, navigational records, medical information on the XNNO's, all of it was stored and cataloged in the archives=

=After about an hour that goes by the trade fleet exits slip-space.=
=I radio the other ship captains.=
"Kinsonix is good, hows everyone else's? Any problems?"

--Trade Zone--

=All the trade ships reported back in. They were good. Meanwhile, further out behind them, the 1st Scout Flotilla exited slip-space. They made sure to dim their engines, even if they'd still be visible to sensors. They were, for this situation, a team of bodyguards=

=On the far, opposite side of the sector, a large group of ships lay in wait. The majority of them, around five in total to match the number of Haven trade ships, were clustered together. Further out behind them, as if to mirror the Haven ships, was a small group of frigates and destroyers. A message was sent to the Haven ships=

Advance forward, to the center of the meeting zone. We will dock, and exchange cargo, as well as agree to a truce with no hostilities so long as both parties remain here.

Well, we have a truce. Let's move forward.

=Delta was thankful for the news brought to him by one of the intelligence officers. He now knew that the schematics of weapons and armor that had been on the Eirav Wing were of UNSC technology, and not the RSS blasters and Clone armor thought to have been stored. But, he was still a bit restless, as it was confirmed that the plans for Delta's next 'project' were indeed uploaded to the Eirav. He did however feel somewhat safe in knowing that the plans were in the Sethalii language, which was unknown to any but the Sethalii and XNNOs, neither of which broke allegiances easily...=

=Recon-S1 came out of slipspace just out of Haven's detection range, and immediately cloaked. The relatively small ship made its way to High Atmosphere above Haven, and 5 RSS drop pods were released. They flew down to the surface, as Recon-S1 quickly went back towards the Azure Comet=

>SS DropZone. Distance from Objective- 10 miles<

=Once the SS Elites landed, they quickly got to work hiding their pods. After they were sufficiently concealed using branches, leaves, grass, and other local things, the squad set out towards their objective under the cover of Visual and Thermal camo. One thing that they knew was that the new standard-issue blaster rifle would penetrate any armor, save for the armor they actually wore. But one thing that concerned them was that they had not been tested in the field against Forerunner armor, only in the labs against what Sigma could replicate on his own. Nonetheless, they liked the new weapons, and especially the new Armor, which was lighter and tougher than any Spartan Armor, with the shielding system adapted from previous SS armor. As they trekked onward, they admired the natural landscape of Haven's surface=

--Trade Zone--

=The ships, both Haven and UNSC alike, closed with each other, and soon docked. The massive docking arms on the ships, while not overtly long, were wide enough to allow the crews to transfer cargo safely. The crews of both ships, upon docking, met, exchanged greetings, and once the cargo from the Haven ships was scanned and cleared, they began the exchange. It was, rather difficult at first. The UNSc ships were carrying a large amount of livestock, and the Haven ships were carrying crates with pieces of Forerunner technology, as well several massive data storage devices with pieces of Forerunner data. Thankfully, on the matter of the livestock, there was enough room in the ships for the animals. After all, the majority of the ships mass was empty cargo space, so the livestock had some room. The ships began to smell though, as there were cows, pigs, chickens, moa, and a few other animal varieties. Once the exchange was over, the ships parted=


--Haven, Control Center--

(Silver Light)
=Something, was not right. There was a momentary blip on the sensors. Something had briefly crossed Haven's atmosphere, but it could have simply been another piece of debris from the fleet engagements from days passed. However, since the time that the assassin managed to slip past my sensors, I knew it would be foolish to assume it was anything but a true threat. But, I did not want to alert anyone over a simple hunch. I deployed another group of Sentinels, and alerted the ground team by the assassin's ship. I did not tell them my suspicion, but, I did tell them to (as the Human expression was) keep their eyes peeled. Honestly, keeping your eyes peeled sounded painful, and defeated the purpose of vision=

>SS Squad, Haven Surface; Forest. Distance from Objective- ~5 miles<

=The squads' HUDs showed that they were nearing the Eirav Wing. They kept alert, on the lookout for enemy soldiers and Sentinels. The trek was long, but the SS were able to run the entire distance this far, and were continuing on towards the objective. Soon enough, they came to a ridge ~0.5 miles off from the EW, and looked out over the trees so that they could just barely see the top of the ship. The leader of the Squad, Aebeir, began scanning for potential threats. He spotted a group of Haven Soldiers on his sensors, and the squad moved on slowly=

=It was early morning when the soldiers outside the Eirav Wing woke up. Well, the ones who weren't on patrol anyway. Overwatch showed nothing out of the normal, though the alert that the Monitor had sent was still in affect. Hell, they were next to an XNNO ship. No way in hell they were going to let their guard down=

=The SS positioned themselves in a semi-circle just behind the treeline around the soldiers at the Eirav Wing. They all had their blasters raised at them, but were not quite about to fire. What they had to do was find a way inside, and release the ship from its current state on the ground, and pilot it back to the Azure Comet. If they were followed... It would be better if they were not followed. For now, they simply waited for the Haven Soldiers to make the first move=

=One of the non-combatants, a tech specialist, boarded the ship, ready to check more of the systems. Once they were plugged in, he opened a private comm line to his superior. On the holo-projector on his data-pad, an image of Councilor Grimm appeared=

(Grimm)
Yes Lt. Samuel, what have you found?

*Lt. Samuel*
Councilor, it's like you suspected. There is an XNNO ship here. I've made copies of its files, and sent them to you. Why would the Admiral hide this?

(Grimm)
He's weak, unwilling to use the gifts of this world. I will not be so weak. rest assured Samuel, we will have our vengeance. Justice will be ours soon. With this ship, I have one more weapon to use to bring more people to our cause.

=The SS knew that if they could get the jump on these Haven Soldiers, they could slip into the Wing and escape without anyone getting hurt. But they knew the ways of Humans all too well. Aebeir especially knew just how cruel people of Haven could be, even when unprovoked. Aebeir gave the signal to move. All at once, they got up and rushed forward passed the Haven Soldiers, and onto the Eirav Wing's entry ramp and into the Cargo Hold. They each ducked off to one side, blasters ready in case anyone noticed noise=

*Soldier*
What was that?

*Soldier*
We've got intruders! Switch to scans, full spectrum!
=the soldiers switched their visors to scan, not just for visible light and thermal images, but for the full spectrum. They saw, blurs, that was all they could think of, run past them onto the ship=

Open fire!
=they drew their weapons, and fired into the entry of the ship=

We need air support. Get those transports in the air, and have their guns aimed at that ship, now!

*Samuel*
=he heard the noise outside, and immediately switched to his sidearm=
What the hell?

=he saw movement, by the doorway. Without thinking, he fired off a shot, towards the floor=

=I cut off the signal=


=the transport vessels soon rose into the air, taking position above the Eirav Wing, though maintaining a good distance=

=The Five SS soldiers turned around at the Gunshot, and immediately filled the attacker with blaster fire, before turning back to the others. Aebeir sent one of the others up to the bridge, where he closed the Entry ramp. The other four quickly made their way up into the central room of the main deck, waiting for takeoff. The soldier on the bridge activated the ship's shields, and started the Engines=

=The soldiers kept firing, even when the entry ramp closed. Their weapons flared against the shields, doing little damage. However, the transports fired. Their guns, while not on par with a real warship, were enough to cause significant damage to the shields=

*Soldier*
=He hailed the transports=
Ignore the main body of the ship! Target their engines!

*Pilots*
Roger that. Re-targeting.

=The Eirav Wing started to lift off, and its underside chin-gun hailed the Haven ground-soldiers with heavy gun fire. Aebeir called forward to the Pilot=

A- They're pounding the shields! We have to get away Now!

SS2- If this keeps up we wont make it out of Atmosphere! We have to jump!

SS3- Jump to Slipspace In-atmosphere!? Are you crazy?

A- Just do it!

=The pilot punched in a few commands. A Slipspace portal opened before the Eirav Wing, and it jumped in. They knew they weren't safe yet, for the Haven military would no doubt follow them=

=The soldiers couldn't believe what had happened. The ship, was jumping in atmosphere. The atmospheric shockwave generated, flung them about as if in a storm, and the transports were thrown down to the ground, sustaining severe damage. As for Haven's sensors, they lit up like a fireworks display, with alerts being issued to the whole fleet=

=The Eirav Wing came out of slipspace above Xenos, and made its way into the Azure Comet's hanger. Within minutes, the entire fleet was brought up to full Combat Alert. The six Capital ships formed a wall with the rest of the ships in front of the planet, the Azure Comet priming its most powerful weapon. Meanwhile, Delta sent a message from the Bridge. The armada sat in silence, and waited...=

(Jason)
=Right as we got off the teleporter and back to the Serenity, my comm went crazy. Dozens of reports were being streamed, each one trying to take dominance, of my ear. Oww. What I could make out, was that Xazhi's ship was stolen. An infiltration team, probably XNNO in origin, got past my soldiers, and killed one of the non-combatants there. A tech specialist, Samuel. They were, at the moment, in disarray as the ship had made an in atmosphere slip-space jump=
Fuck, I need to go Miri, sorry.

=I turned away from miranda and the ship, and almost ran back to the teleporter=

(Miranda)
What's going on?

(Jason)
Something bad, again!
=I reached the teleporter, and made my way to Alpha Base. Once there, I got to the Command Center, and started organizing things. I sent several transports with medical aid to the team that had been injured by the slip-space jump. I had the fleet organize into a defensive position, with orders to hold their ground at all costs. Finally, I had to call the Council=

=The Six XNNO leaders held a meeting via VidComm whilst awaiting the Haven Fleet. They discussed the battle plan, how they would go about the cleanup after the Azure Comet was finished with them. Delta was getting anxious. Not because he wanted to attack Haven, but because he wasnt sure if Haven would attack them, and he would never let his guard down. But he knew that if they did attack Xenos, it would be an absolute massacre. He stared at his console, waiting for a Slipspace signal=

(Jason)
=It didn't take long for the other Council members to respond to the call. Hans was in fact the first, which I found something of a record for him=

(David)
Admiral, what's going on? We're getting reports of an in atmosphere slip-space jump. You've marshaled the fleet into defensive formations.

(Jason)
This is going to take some time to explain Councilors. So bear with me here=
=Despite my better judgement, I knew the time for secrets was long since done, and to keep them now would prove fatal. I told them of how Xazhi came, and tried to kill Miranda, and how I had found his ship. How I had sent a team to dig through the ship, and gather intel. Then of course, the bit about the infiltration team that came in, killed Samuel, and made the jump=

(Hans)
This is an outrage! They send an assassin here, to kill one of our own, then assault us to take back their ship?

(Jason)
Councilor, please, we don't have all the facts yet. I had Silver Light, calculate where they jumped to. I intend to see what's going on.

(Carolyn)
Would you please explain your intent?

(Jason)
Haven is capable of superilluminal communication. I can send a message to those coordinates, and maybe Delta will be on the other end. If we send a fleet, they'll take it as an act of aggression.

(Hans)
If they don't take the death of their assassin as an act of aggression itself.

(Jason)
That's beside the point. We need to head this off, now, before it spirals out of control.

I agree with Jason. We need to remain diplomatic here.

=The others agreed, though Hans was reluctant. However, a signal was sent through the slip-stream, to the location of the coordinates=

=The Azure Comet picked up on the Slipspace comm, and Delta answered. His tone made it obvious that he was quite frustrated with Jason=

Del- You... You murdered my second-in-command's thirteen year old son, steal his ship and no doubt whatever sensitive data may have been on it, and open fire on my soldiers when they attempt to retrieve it. I knew you Humans were low, but this? What do you have to say, Inheritor?

Hello Delta. it wasn't by choice, and I tried to help him, believe me I did. But he broke into my ship, my home, and tried to kill my fiance. Hell, I've got the security footage to prove it. Whatever happened, however much I may regret it, I did it to defend the woman I love. As for the ship, you would have done the same if you were in my shoes Delta. You would have searched for the enemies ship and it's secrets. But if you truly wanted the ship back so badly, then you could have asked, Delta. Hell, I've been trying to find a way, for the past several days, to explain all this to you without risking you trying to seek vengeance for the death of your own assassin.

Del- Assassin? How stupid do you really think i am, Jason? Do you truly expect me to believe that a boy his age and with his experience was sent to assassinate anyone, let alone you or your woman? You must not have thought that through to well.

=Delta crossed his arms=

(Jason)
=I didn't respond with words, but action. Through the signal, I sent the recording of Xazhi, breaking onto my ship, and trying to kill Miranda. And of course, the part where I killed him, and tried to help him=
What other reason was there for his ship to land on my home, Delta? What other reason was there for him to be on my ship?

(Dormii)
=soon, I was filled with the need to kill. If any bit of me wasn't focused on killing the UNSC, I would've screamed, yelled my anger and rage off into the ceiling. But instead, I hesitantly let go of Jay's hand, and walked away, my posture and face showing every intention to murder and maim and kill. I headed off to my room to pick up my armor and weapons, intending to leave before too many people found me and stopped me=

=Time passed and soon she stepped into the messhall. Something wasn't quite right about that little message she found on the terminal, but she decided to wave it off for food. Her stomach growls with an intense hunger. Nearing screaming out for food. She approaches the table and picks the first thing she sees. Some spaghetti. She takes her fork and begins eating quickly=

Better hurry up. Who knows when they'll be done.

=She shrugs and decides to take it slow=

=Something was not right. The ship was moving, and people were scrambling to their stations. My squad and I were ordered to our fighters, and to begin taking defensive positions within the fleet, along with the other fighters=
What the hell is going on?

=I tried to contact Silver Light. He and I had were on good terms, both because I was Jason's god-daughter, and because I was probably one of the few people to actively talk with him. But, I couldn't raise him. Whatever was going on, it had his full attention=

(Dormii)
=i walked into my room, thinking of what I would do. Of how I would get revenge=

I could start with the station, the refit station we're docked at. I could unleash a communication virus, jam any and all transmissions. Yes. Keep them from talking. Isolate them. Disarray. Uncoordinated. Little to no resistance. I'd have them at my mercy. I'll make them beg, plead for their lives. Make them wish they never hurt her.

=i started to get my armor on, muttering softly some of my thoughts. I didn't care if anyone heard me, I was too focused on revenge=

=As I left Haven's atmosphere, I jumped towards the coordinates I found in the ships log files. I wasn't exactly sure how long it would be before I got there, but I know something is not right, something just doesn't fit in with where im going. I wanted to check the coordinates, and that is exactly what I did. Nothing came up on the list for explored sectors of space, I would be a non-existent man=

There are a few other people Delta. I'm sure you remember Dormii Fortunii, and Zeru Ishtar, and the rest of the crew, of the Trophaeum.....though I think now, it goes by the name of the Whisper of Life. But I highly doubt any of them would hire an assassin to kill Miranda. There is, one other group, and we've both been on the receiving end of their schemes.
