ZRP-2: Chapter Two, Paradise in Hell

=Bending a little, I planted a soft kiss on the top of her head=
"I promise."

Hibiki finally calmed down, her sobs slowly stopping. She didn't move.
She just stayed there, breathing.

(James)
=Removing my fingers from her hair, I moved my hand downward, so that I now cupped her chin, lifting her head up to face me=
"I'm so sorry Hibiki. For yelling, for being stupid about this, for making you mad like that."

Hibiki blinked up at him, smiling....just a bit.
"You're forgiven, orokana otto*."

=I smiled, just a bit=
"I have no idea what that means...."

=I kissed her once on the lips, before pulling away=
"But I guess we have time for you to teach me."

"It means stupid husband...baka." she kissed back. "And ok."

(James)
Okay, I earned that one I suppose.
=The rest of my thoughts were drowned out, courtesy of the kiss. She just had that kind of effect on me=

Hibiki kept the kiss up for a few seconds before slowly rising up.
"I think we deserve some rest, no?"

(James)
"Heh, maybe you more than me. You were the one pushing my ass out of the fire, remember?"
=The note of bitterness in my voice, was not lost on me=

"Because you wer being stupid. Utterly stupid." She sighed, going over to fall onto the bed.

(James)
=I got next to the bed, smiling a little more, not so bitter=
"Maybe so......so, I guess I'll just get myself into bed then."

=With that, I raised the bar on the left side of the chair, preparing to get into the bed=

Hibiki watched...she decided on a compromise...
Unless he hurt himself.

(James)
=Placing one hand on the bed, I slowly lifted myself out of the chair, so that I could at the very least sit on the bed=

Hibiki sighed. "Have you learned your lesson?"

(James)
"Clearly not......but how else am I supposed to get into bed? Besides, it's not like the cha--"
=Right as I said that, the wheels on the chair, which I forgot to lock, moved and the damn thing rolled out from under me. One hand on the bed, and the rest of me dangling over the chair, I fell to the ground=

"Ow!"

"The lessons was stay in cover until it's clear."
She got off the bed and started helping him up, sighing.

(James)
"I thought the lesson was not to do anything stupid while I let myself heal?"
=Still, I welcomed the help, and eventually I was now sitting back on the bed=

"Both are good lessons to learn."

(James)
=Grunting, I lay back in the bed, eyes closed not in exhaustion, but pain. The fall hurt a lot because of my injury=
"Well guess this makes me a poor student then."

"No, really?" She said, sighing.

(James)
=Grinning, I touched her hand, pulling her down onto the bed=
"Well, I've still got plenty of time to learn. Maybe I'll do better next time."

"You better do better." She said. "You were outdone by a fourteen year old."

(James)
"Hey, she had the benefit of having her legs. I'm in a chair right now."
=Looking at where I was laying, I amended that statement=

"Well, I'm in a bed with my gorgeous wife, but you know what I mean."

"Whike you had your legs she outdid you in both lessons." She kissed him. "And I know."

(James)
=My hands, bless their hearts, moved of their own accord when she kissed me. One came to rest at the small of her back, the other resting behind her head, as I returned the kiss=
"Next time, I'll be faster than her. Just you wait."

"You better."
She rested against James, exhausted.

(James)
=I let her rest on top of me, my hand stroking her hair, the other gently rubbing up and down her back=
"I love you, Hibiki. So much."

Hibiki closed her eyes.
"I love you, too."

(James)
=Without thinking about it, my hand moved from her back, to the side of her stomach.....hovering over her womb=
"Have you thought of any names?"

"I haven't...you?" She said quietly.

(James)
"I've been trying......I figured if it was a boy, maybe Adam...."
=Buh dum tis=

"...or Michael, Jacob."

"And if it's a girl?" Hibiki said.

(James)
"Sarah maybe? Or Jessica? I mean, if we were having a baby girl, what would you want to name her?"

"Sora...the sky means hope for a lot. Or Dawn."

(James)
"And if it were a boy?"
=I kept stroking her hair, speaking in a hushed tone=

"Sora is unisex...maybe...James."

(James)
"Heh...I thought there was room for one James in your life?"

"Don't make me have to make room for only one." She countered softly

(James)
"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere."
=Wrapping my arms around her, I pulled her into a hug. God, I just didn't want to lose her=

What are you doing? What? are you ignoring me now? You can't ignore your own thoughts, encase you didn't know that.
Abel grabbed his coat, throwing it over his shoulders, and sliding both his arms through it. He slung his shotgun on his back, and clipped his holster to his hip and belt. After putting his hat on he exited the room, seeing no guards around, he made his way to the cafeteria, which also seemed to be empty. He went in the back and took some tightly sealed food and some canned goods, along with a few bottles of water. He put it all in his pack, then started walking to the exit of the facility.

"So, we have the rest of the day to ourselves? Any ideas on how to pass the time?"
=Yeah, there were probably several things we could have done to pass the time, but I wanted her opinion=
