ZRP-2: Chapter 3, The Coming Storm

(James)
=I gently tugged at her arm, my way of saying 'walk with me back to the inn'=
"Come on.....we have a friend to bury."

"Wait. Really? You're not just... joking?"
The thought of her just screwing around with me had my entire brain's attention.

Hibiki shook her head. "A son." She corrected softly.

(Allie)

My heart starts beating faster and I blush harder.

Shit! I've never been in a situation like this with a girl!! I'll just treat her like a guy..

"I'm OK with a date, if thats what you me-."

My eyes go wide, and I wash my face to hide my reaction.

FUCK! Thats not what I had in mind! Damn you Allie...

I then think back.

Wait... did she just say I looked bad..?

(James)
=I blanched a little at her use of the word=
"A son.....our son."

=And we were going to bury him. My hand squeezed hers a little more, as I turned around and guided us back to the hotel. Sam took the lead though=

I blush a little, looking away and sitting down, suddenly feeling my headache escape me. I hadn't expected that, really. Never even through about that kinda thing, with anyone lately.

"If you... a date? I.. that'd be nice..."

(Allie)

I stop and sit there alittle dumbfounded.

"Uhhhhh.........."

I blush, and look down at my feet. This was way too weird for me.
"Sorry, I didn't mean too... I mean, if you..." I sighed, rubbing my head again as the aching came back.
"I didn't mean to put you on the spot or anything."

(Allie)

I sit there for a bit, a weird feeling came into my stomach. At first I thought it was the whiskey coming back up, but then I realized it was something more. I haven't had a 'someone' in a long time, it had left me empty feeling for months. I think back to earilier, me and Sammy reall had fun. The most I'v had in along time...

"No. No, its ok... I really... I really want to."

I sit on the bed looking at her.

I look over at Allie, my eyes wide, my lips curling up at the sides gently. "R-really? That's... that's great!" I smiled, beaming, still rather pained by the aching pulsing through my head.

"But, for now... I think we needa try and get out of this stupor." I said, jokingly, rubbing my head and neck.

(Allie)

I blush, and nod.

"Agreed."

I walk over to a mirror on the wall and let my hair down before straightening it and pulling it back into a pony tail. I look over.

"Will you hand me some of that water?"

I nod, pouring a bit more into my glass and handing it over to Allie, before moving to my bag and belt, checking that everything was still where it shoudl be. I didn't care what people said, I trusted no one.

(Allie)

I drink some water and turn to look at Sammy. I grin and give a laugh.

"I don't think anyone took anything, we weren't out that long. Besides my senses are keener than a foxs, even when drunk."

I pout and stick my tongue out, before standing and stretching a little.
"Nothing gone. Good. I'm not risking it, sweetie, even if it's only a few minutes."

I smirk, and move my bag over to the bed, as I put my belt on.

(Allie)

I grab my rifle and sling it onto my shoulders. I sigh and put on my Aviators to block out MOST forms of bright light.

"Soo.. you want to chill here for a bit or see whats going on?"

I lean against the wall, tired from my light hangover.

"I'm gonna go out, see what's up in the town. Who knows, maybe someone got shot. Or maybe those two guys got into another fight."
I smiled a little, cheekily. I was getting bored of this place, safe though it was.

(Allie)

I giggle a bit.

Whats up with me and giggles? I haven't Giggled in months..

"Do you want me to come with you?... I got nothing else to do.."

I look at her tilting my head.

I nod, looking at Allie and smiling.
"Yeah, might as well. No point sticking in this dingy room, is there?"

I hoisted my bag up over my shoulders, and made my way out the door.

(Allie)

I nod and follower down into the common room.

I head down, frowning as I look around. Not much, as always.
"Got any idea where your friends are, Allie? Would be nice to meet them."

=I had sorted my gear after my chat=

Well...'tis dark times indeed

=I then head to the common room, waiting for James and Hibiki to sort themselves out before what was about to happen=

Well, Mira, this going to be a bit of a shock for you

=I sigh, finding myself a seat=

(Allie)

I spot Andrew sitting down and motion to him.

"There's Andrew, the others I haven't seen much of..."

I nod, and begin to walk over in that direction, looking at Allie.
"Think it's weird you haven't seen 'em? Or do they do this kinda thing more often than they should?"
I smile cheekily, interested in this group.

=I smile weakly=

It's normal for them to go off and do their own thing, and I've gotten used to it...

=I nod off for a few minutes, trying to grab what rest I could. Because it was going to be a long few days, at least, that's what I thought=

(Allie)

I nod, and walk over.

"We should probably find James, I think he's going to.. bury Harry."

I look at the two of them, waiting for an answer.

(J)

I blush, then smile.

"Of course I'm not joking Tyler... you're all I have left! You're best thing thats happened to me in a long time.."

It was quiet... surprisingly quiet. Moving around the town, Abel hadn't heard anything. Not a single groan of a zombie, or maybe a firearm being discharged, just... silence. Once he made his way to the other side, he found himself walking on the surface of pavement once again.

"I- I don't know what to say. I mean. I'm happy. But I'm. I don't know. Excited."

I smile at her.

"I guess I'm not used to having someone like you."

(J)

I look at him smiling and scoot in closer.

"I'm not used to having someone like you either.. this is all... new."

I lean in closer, my face blushing. My face hovers a few inches away from his. I pause, unsure how to proceed.

God I'm terrible at this..

"Umm.. Tyler.. I..."

Her face is close to mine. And because of this I blush along with her. I can feel it.

"Uh... y-yes?"

(J)

I bite my lower lip, then push myself the rest of the way kissing him on the lips. I run my arm up his arm and wrap it around his neck, pulling him in closer.

My eyes grow wide for second before I relax into it. As one of my arms trail up her back I start to breathe lightly through my nose.

(J)

I break away after a bit, and look at him blushing.

"I've wanted to do that for a while..."

I grin, giggle and grab his hand again, giving it a squeeze.

"You-you're pretty good at it."

I smile as she squeezes my hand. Then nuzzle her neck with my face.

Hibiki squeezed back, following.

Eve sat there dutifully, waiting for Sam.

(James)
=When we got back to the lobby of the inn, things split into different events: Sam walked over to Eve, took her hand and walked back to the chair. She sat there, head hung low as she bent over her legs, looking ill. Book came to speak with me and Hibiki, and the third was that I could all but see Marcus making his way towards us from the rear=

(Book)
"I take it that you're both staying together?"
=I looked from James to Hibiki=

(James)
"It's not going to be easy.....but we're staying together."

Eve squeezed in beside Sam, laying her cheek on Sam's shoulder, rubbing her back. She sighed quietly.

Hibiki nodded, staying quiet.

(Allie)

I spot James and walk over, a red mark of someones hand was on James face, but I didn't say anything.

"Hey guys. Whats the plan..?"

(James)
=Gesturing with my hand to Allie, interrupting her, I let Book finish=

(Book)
"I see. The two of you have something special then to stick through such hardships.....and pig headedness."
=There was a stunned looked on James' face, to which I calmly responded=

"I call them like I see them."

(James)
=Shaking my head at the man, I looked to Allie=
"Right now? Heal. I mean, we just got here, not much to plan for at the moment."

=I heard footsteps behind me, turning to find Marcus standing behind us. He had a grim look on his face=

*Marcus*
"James.....I saw what happened, with the boy. I'm sorry for your loss."

(James)
"I'll grieve when I can. For now we have good news."
=From there, I told him about how the Elites pledged their support to us. I went into some detail about getting shot, losing a finger, and the jobs we did, and he calmly stood there and listened=

"Th-though we shouldn't do that i-in pubic. I-I-I- I could see people staring."

I say as calmly as I can while taking my head back. I don't know why I did it, just felt right at first.

The road was quiet, save for Abel's boots hitting pavement. A breeze funneled its way down the road, in between the trees that stood on both sides of the road. It wasn't really cold, but it still sent shivers down Abel's spine.
Spooky.
After the breeze, everything went quiet again. Abel licked his dry upper lip, then slowly proceeded walking forward.

*Marcus*
"That is good news, more than you know. Things are going to get worse James."
=He saw the confused look on my face=

"This attack, the breach in our defenses......people are going to want to leave town for somewhere safer. And that might be the Elites camp now that we have a firm alliance with them."

(James)
"Whoa whoa whoa.....migration to St. Louis?"

(Allie)

I nod. I was going to ask James about Sammy, but he seemed really busy at the moment...... I walk back to Sammy and sigh.

"I didn't get to ask him, but I'll do it ASAP."

(J)

I nod, my blush starting to die down.

"Thats understandable.."

I watched Allie, not sure who many of these people were. Most people were talking, so for now I was just gonna wait and watch.
I was trying to catch names for now. I don't think I remembered any from last night.
When Allie came back, I could hear she was a little tired.
"It's fine. Gives more time for introductions."

"S-sorry. I-I didn't mean to ruin the moment."

Fuckin' idiot! Why do you even care about what these people think anyway? They don't even know you.

(Allie)

I sit in a chair next to the wall, and pull another up next to me, motioning for Sammy to sit.

"Hell I don't even know everyone myself.."

(J)

I giggle and shake my head.

"You didn't ruin anything, just setting boundaries."

I smirk and sit down, leaning back against the chair as I slide my bag down to my feet.
"So, whose the leader? James, Andrew?" Some names were coming back, but only barely.

"Or one of the other muppets?" I said cheekily, smiling.

(Allie)

I yawn and lay my head back on the wall.

"That would be James.. also the leader of the Town even mentioned moving to St. Louis... or at least I heard that when walking away.."

"St. Louis? What good would that do us? Not exactly a defensive spot, and it's probably still filled with zambles."
I looked at Allie, scratching my head. "Maybe we just needa split up..."

(Allie)

I look at her funny.

"St. Louis? Nah, last I heard the Elites got it good up there. I think James was there with them before they picked me up."

I sigh and lay my head on her shoulders and close my eyes.

"Heh... I guess."

I couldn't help put to over hear something about St. Louis from the people sitting near us.

"W-word's getting around about Saint Louis. The compound."

Finally. My uber red face starts to lighten up. I think it was because hearing or maybe saying St. Louis.
