=The Comet fights off the UNSC ships and jumps back to it's coordinates from before it jumped to the Ice Planet. Xazhi speaks with the officers in the meeting room. They determine that they should deploy their smaller recon ships and search for the Trophaeum. Xazhi heads back to the bridge and gives the order. three Recon ships, about the size of a prowler, maybe smaller, deploy from the Comet. SS1 is aboard one of them=

=I return to Christina, sitting by her side slowly dozing off=

=I watch Snow storm off and walk back into the cell=

=I finish the last trooper, and go back to Kurbis. His leg wound is bleeding again, as is mine. I tear off two strips of my shirt and wrap them around the two wounds=
God I wish I had armor...

=I lean against Kurbis and start falling asleep=

=The frigate keeps going towards General Sappers' location=

@Grey : Alright. We are not landing in there. We will go nearby and have the people take Pelicans and land in the hanger.

(Grey) : Yeah. We are almost there.

=Grey comms his friends and they get ready=

*Meanwhile*

(Sergeant) : Uhh. General. Some engineers are getting on pelicans, As well as some Soldiers. They have supplies and things from this ship. Should i send some Marines to get them?

(General Sappers) : I want your squad to go. I want the job done.

(Sergeant) : Yes Sir.

=The Sergeant gets his squad and a Rocket launcher=

(Sergeant) : Go from the left flank. I'll go from the right. Do not let them get away.

(Privates) : Yes sir!

=The Squad goes from the left flank. The Sergeant loads his Rocket Launcher=

*Meanwhile*

(Justin) : Tell them to go now. We need to get out of here.

=Grey tells them to leave. As they start leaving they start getting shot at. The Sergeant shoots twice at the same pelican. Destroying it before it even gets out of the hanger. The rest get out=

(Sergeant) : Get in that Pelican! We will get them!

=The Sergeant comms General Sappers=

We are following them. Do not engage. We will complete this.

(General Sappers) : You better not fail.

=The Pelican follows them as they get in the Frigate. Justin runs to the hanger with his squad=

(Justin) : Soldiers. Get those engineers safe! We will stay here.

=The Soldiers get the engineers safe and hide. The Pelican enters the hanger and the squad gets out, getting their guns ready=

(Justin) : Ward! Take this SMG! Lance and Rosco. Go up on that walkway and give up covering fire!

=They all go into positions as the Squad of twelve leaves the Pelican=

(Justin) : Leave now and we won't shoot.

(Sergeant) : There is only two of you..

=The Sergeant laughs and Justin and Ward open fire. Making The squad dive for cover=

(Sergeant) : Damnit. We lost two men already?

(Private) : Yes, Kill them!

=The Private stands up and shoots. He shoots Ward in the arm, Then he gets shot in the head by a sniper.

(Rosco) : Nice shot. I think Ward is hit. Lets give Justin covering fire and he can go help him.

=They start shooting. Killing four more men=

(Private #2) : We are getting hammered! We need to get out of here!

(Sergeant) : General. We are losing to many men. We need to get them out of here. Can you set a tracking beacon on them?

(General) : On it. Get out of there.

=The frigate starts to leave and the pelican leaves. The General shoots a tracking beacon but misses=

(General) : Damn. Follow that Frigate

(Commander) : It would take days to get moving again. Just kill them.

(General) : There are to many of our men on there. We will just have to wait.

*Meanwhile*

=Justin comms Zeru and Grey=

Zeru. It was successful. Grey. I need a medic. I need one now. Ward has been shot.

=Grey gets a medic to go down to the Hanger. Lance and Rosco help them get him to a bed=

(Justin) : Grey. Get us out of here. Lets get back to Zeru's ship.

One of the Recon ships flies over an empty-looking planet. They can barely see the outline of a large ship from where they are. They fly over and drop 2 ODST pods to the planet below, before hiding on the other side of the planet. The ODST pods come down on a hill. Using binoculars, SS1 can just faintly make out a small base. He and SS3 go to investigate. They begin their long trek=

Let's not kill him yet, okay? That might be a bit too far, for now. He may break yet.

=As they approach the base, SS1 spots some small activity. He comms the Recon ship=

SS1- Silaev 2310 to Recon-S1, We are seeing some small activity at the base, but nothing major. Proceeding with investigation.

=i start heading back to the grav lift back down to the planet when i remember BeP=

=Silaev and SS2 continues onwards through the brushy grasslands, their black, white, and red armor contrasting and yet blending with the landscape=

=Bellum highlights the tracks in a bright blue outline. i start to follow them, being as stealthy as a frigate in atmosphere=

=They pick up something on their motion trackers. It is visable for a breif moment beofre disappearing. They crouch down low into the tall grass and advance slowly and cautiously, constantly looking around=

=i keep following the tracks=
Hey, Pax. You finding any comm sources nearby?

Can you please hack into them for me? A Helmet to Helmet feed if you can.

--Of course--

=Pax starts working on opening a helmet to helmet feed. i keep following the footprints=

=The continue on. They hear the very faint clanking of metal on metal. They stop and crouch into the brush, looking around=

SS2- You see anything?

Silaev- Nothing.

=Pax finishes with the hack=

=the helmet to helmet camera feed opens, and me, being me says this, loudly=

=They stay low to the ground and look around for the hacker. with their rifles ready=

--He just took off his helmet--

=the second video feed opens up and the other person's armor locks up in it's current position=

=He turns to SS2 and helps him up=

=i move as stealthy as I can following the footprints. i see a figure standing in the grass. I unwrap my hook-cable-blade and start to swing it as I get close enough. I throw the hook and it catches on the backpack of the standing figure. i yank and he falls over, i start pulling him towards me=

Shit!

=Silaev starts firing at the figure pulling SS2 away=

Who the fuck is this?

=i quickly pull the figure to me and I hit him in the head, knocking him out, or at least I hope I did. i unlatch the hook from his backpack as bullets fly at and past me. i turn on a quiet Banshee Scream using it as a fear tactic rather than a combat one. i drop to the ground, hiding in the tall grass. i slowly start to slide to the side=

Bellum, I need a way to get to this guy, preferably without getting shot.

=He does not actually hear the banshee scream (Reveaerian, See bio) and runs put into the open field where the grass in only ankle-high. SS2 gets up and runs after the Spartan attacker=

=bright blue circles wander my visor looking for targets. i stand and swing the hook into the head of the figure running after me, He drops=

=As SS2 runs towards the spartan, a hook enters his helmet through the side and lodges into his skull, killing him instantly. He falls over onto the ground sideways, further lodging the hook into his helmet and head. Silaev fires 6 rounds into the spartan's back, 2 going through=

--Armor Punctured--

No shit! Send a distress call to the others. I may not stay awake long enough to do it myself.

=i gasp from the pain and turn around towards the new figure. i let go of the cable, and draw the spear-flail. i twirl it over my head and charge at the figure=

Hack the ammo counter on his gun. Set it to zero.

--Done--

=the figures gun shows no rounds in the magazine, prompting a reload=

=He stands there, trying his best to look worried=

Come on, you son of a bitch...

=Just as the spartan gets close enough, Silaev draws and acivates his own standard-issue version ELS and gives the spartan a slash across the stomach/chest, as he takes a impact from the spear-flail to his helmet as well. He staggers momentarily, before re-balancing himself=

--Call sent out--

Good. Now the others can't be ambushed.

=i start to feel drunk=

=i pass out=

=Silaev deactivates and holsters his ELS. He re-sets his Rifle and slings it=

I have to get one of those MCRs that dont have that damn counter...

=He walks over to Hiro's dead body and removes the hook from his head=

It was to be expected for our first mission as actual soldiers.

=He sighs. He powers up his armor again and comms the Recon ship=

This is Silaev 2310 to Recon-S1. We encountered a Spartan. He fired on us, and we were forced to retaliate. Hiro 2311 is dead. Copy?

RS1- We read you, 'three-ten. Proceed with recon as planned. Try to avoid any more fatalities. We came here to scout, not kill.

Yes, sir. 2310 out.

=He cuts comms. He slings Hiro's body over his shoulder and treks into the mountain nearby. He finds a cave. He builds a fire outside and burns Hiro's body, armor and all. After there is nothing left but ash, Silaev finds a few branches and covers the entrance to the cave so that it is unnoticeable. He heads in and camps out the night=

After an unknown amount of time, David woke up from his little coma. There was an IV in his arm and a vital-signs scanner on his hand. He pulled both out, almost stumbling when he rose from a lack of leg usage. After looking at a map, he made his way back to his room, slipping his armor on and grabbing the rest of his stuff, he called the Black Hand vessel, which went into orbit a few days ago.

They sent a Pelican down, picking David up and bringing him back up to the vessel. They still had a signal on the doctor, and headed straight for him. David went to the training room to resume his training.
