Time to load the lead...

(I load the fifties first)

Damn, these are heavy. No wonder we used those machines. 120s will be a bitch to load manually.

(I find a dolly and load the 120mm AP rounds)

This is bound to crack any Longsword in two...

I guess.
The battle should be starting soon.
We need to prepare fully.

=They get to the clearing and load up=

=we land in the hanger and wait for the medics and doctor's to arrive. i power down the Pelican and drop the ramp=

=Doctors arrive at the back of the Pelican=
=They put him on a stretcher and head out=

=i watch the doctors take Draco to the medbay. i get out and go to the workshop. i start making a few more Melting Razors=

(I finish loading the guns)

Damn, I swear I'm getting a robotic loader installed as an investment.

(I look and see a med-team hauling a man out of a Pelican)

Poor bastard. Not a good day for him.

(I check to see if the weapons' safties are still on)

One thing I learned...never open the safties BEFORE combat.

=He passes out as the doctors place him onto a bed=
=They begin working with the wounds=

this is part of the view of pat of the planet where Doctor Nikolaus Oehlberg is, however, this post is about the young Nicholas on the Trophaeum dreaming about the planet.




(sleeping in the medbay)


a soft breeze blew around me; I was in a field, looking at the side of a mountain.
The tall grass swayed peacefully in the wind.
I could feel the wind tugging at my beard.
the sky was blue today, reflecting the Planets ocean, as well as it's moons.
The forested Mountains were large, round and maze-like.
the went on for miles, stretching to the sea.
The natives were peaceful, they lived as one with the land, living simply.
They had tamed some of the wildlife, domesticated some.
something the UNSC could never do.
They tried to terraform the planet, the planet ended up changing them.
something of a medical mystery. To them, anyway.
Some of the trees were sentient, communicated with other trees, even some animals.
It's only a matter of generations before the humans begin to have that connection.
Occasionally their were large organic clusters, bulbs, digesting an animal or just taking in the sun, they pulsed with life.
literally, pulsed.
Life here was complicated, yet simple.
Einstein, you baffle me yet again.

=My arm trembles as I lose strength=

*All weapons are on full power. We currently have over four hundred Seraph Fighters from the raid you went on last week*

=The Pelican enters the main hanger. The fighters outside=
=They exit, him fully armored. She is in light armor. Seeing Rain's Sabre=

=I see them enter and sigh=

=I open the cockpit and hop out=

(He appears on the holotank, sword drawn)

(I grin, fire up the weapons, and leave the hangar for the inevitable fight)

=They meet up. Sarah looking angrily at Rain=

Rain-Look...Im sorry for what I did..What I intended to do...

Dante(Puts up his hand)-Later. Right now we must focus on the fight. I want you out there with Weaver and Gin.

Sarah(sighs)

Dante-That is an order, soldier.

Rain(nods and heads off for his Sabre)

Dante(turns to Sarah)-We must set up our sniping posts. No doubt one or two ships might get in.

Sarah(nods)-Okay.

=They head out. Setting up postions=

=I head out to join Weaver and Gin=

Dante-Now it is the waiting game

=The UNSC fleet jumps in=

FIRE!

=The Cannon fires and shreds 13 of the 100 ships, and tears a 14th down the side as the round leaves=

Open fire on the rest!

=The Comet's cannons open up on the UNSC fleet, as the ship turns to broadside them=

I was the one in the pelican, trying to save you, now if you don' mind, i'd appreciate it if you'd put that pistol away.

=He finishes equipping his armour.=

Seems different...

This planet, was strange to Nikolaus. There was something about it's geology that struck him as odd. it rotated around another planet, yet had a moon, the moon was almost all water, with methane icecaps at the polar regions. The Land was mountainous. everywhere he looked were mountains, seldom was there a flat plain, lest it was on the summit of a mountain, or and island out at sea. or a nadir within a mountain cave. There were underground rivers and rapids everywhere. there also were no deserts. the land was humid. actually, there was one desert. not knowing the details or history about the planet, he couldn't really say why.
He felt an itching sensation on the back of his head, it felt internal. Nothing he could do about that, it was gone almost immediately after he felt it. He was wise enough to know that it was not a figment of his imagination.
He was feeling overshadowed. something was going to happen, it would change many things, but what it was, was a mystery.

=I try to back away=

(Andrea)

*Opening fire.*

=Heaven's Descent opens fire onto the fleet=

*Sending out Seraph Fighters*

=The Fighters head out and begin taking down any enemy ship=

(Rain)

=We attack the fighters. Taking down many=

*Sending weak points for all ships*

=When I got back to my ship, I had taken a nap. Unfortunately, the nap turned into a very long sleep, filled with that nightmare again. I was woken by Argo though=

Jason, we have a problem. The UNSC fleet that Dormii warned you about is here.

=I jumped out of bed, and got dressed. I then made my up to the bridge=

=He notices Nick leaving the Med-Bay. He begins to leave the Med-Bay as well.=

=I had walked onto the bridge, and found Mir sitting at the communications terminal. She looked worried, but determined=

The fleet had just exited slip-space when they were fired upon by this ship.

=The screen was filled with an image of a huge ship=

=Another ships is vaporized in the fire from the Comet's cannons. Massive amounts of fighters begin swarming from the fleet=

Launch counter-fighters! Man the Turrets!

=The Comet's fighters launch as well and engage the UNSC's as soldiers get to their positions to man the cannons, fighting off those that stray to close=

(Andrea)

=She activates comms with the nearby ships=

*This is our fight. We will win!*

=She tries contacting the Trophaeum=

*Hey wake up! There is a battle going on!*

=HD continues its run. Firing off the plasma=

(Dante and Sarah)

=They had set up positions on each side of the hanger=
=Any ship that entered would become theirs=
=As troops poured out. They would die off=

(R, W, G)

=We head off to a Frigate=

Lets take this thing!

=They storm through killing any soldier they see=

(I see the fireball)

Our turn now Wallace.

*Indeed it is, my boy. Now, to the hunt!*

(I firewall the engine and lock three of the missiles on the fighters)

Firing. (I look and see three fighters erupt into fireballs) Hooooyeah!

*Impressive. (He sheaths his sword and nods) Time to crack some skulls.*

(I nod)

Switches off...guns are hot. Time to make shrapnel!

(I head into the fray and look for suitable targets)

About time you fucking put on your helmet! Now, I can actually see stuff...
