Zombie Story: Threads of a Tire

the next morning

=Woke up, snapped up, wide awake=

Time for some breakfast I suppose………

went down into the cellar, where the pantry is, took out a bow of oats, added some water to it and made porridge. and that was my breakfast.

=I get closer to land.=

Bup du doop...

=I knock on the building then move along=

=I drive onto the land.=

Well... Now to find the safe zone...

=I walk through the dead city, silently=

=I walk in the middle of the street, hoping for no Snipers=

=I carry on driving, until I reach the woods.=

May as well try...

=I begin to drive through the wood, tree's scraping the side of the Duck Boat.=

=I hear a slight rumble and I continue faster=

=I drive into what looks like... A town.=

=I hear diesel getting closer, I hide behind a building=

=I drive deeper into the town.=

=I see what seemed to be a bus heading down the road=

=I begin to flank it=

=I stop the Duck Boat, and climb out.=

Anyone home?!

=I take out my pistol and fire 2 shots into the driver window, then go back behind the building=

=I see the shots hit the drivers window, and I dive out the way.=

I'M FRIENDLY! NON-RAIDER! FRIENDLY!

=My voice echos through the town=

Who are you!?

Aww you dont wanna see my blades?
They're very sharp, and very deadly

=I take a sip of water=

=I enter a store and begin looking around=

Was much more excitin on the road...

MY NAME IS MILLER! MILLER!

=I look around=

That sounds familiar

=I come up from behind the "Bus"=

=I walk past him=

So where is this "Safe Area"?

Somewhere, in Ireland.

=I stand up.=

Well I think we are in Ireland... now where do we go!

=I sigh and walk away=

=I climb back into the Drivers seat.=

Well, you going to find it by walking?

I'd rather be alone.

=I continue walking=

Well, I'll see you at the safe zone, hopefully.

=I begin driving.=

=I exit the town, walking along a dirt road=

=I exit the town, driving.=

I laugh and lower my hand.

"Didn't want to intrude on you if you were half and/or full naked. I'm just here to get a change of clothes for the day."

I walk over to the closet.

"Where'd you get those swords, anyway?"

=I see a road sign, but I can't read English=

=I follow the sign anyway=

=After some driving, I see a sign. It has scribbled on it 'SAFE ZONE THIS WAY!' I begin to drive in that direction.=

I met a group of people fendin off the Zeds near a harbor.
They gave me the swords and the Baretta and a boat.

=I smile=

Really nice people.

I nod and take off my shirt. I throw it into the hamper and grab a new one.

"Glad there's some kindness still in this world."

I put my new shirt on.

"Want to go start building your new home? Assuming, of course you are going to stay here."

=I walk over a small hill and look upon another town=

=I sigh=

Yeah, I should stay here.
Wait for my idiot of a brother to find me.

=I giggle=

=I accidentaly drop a glass. Breaking it=

Oh...Uh...

=I pick up the shards and throw them away=

No one saw that

=I arrive outside of a gate or something, with two guards ahead. I get out of the Duck Boat, and the two Guards check me.=

(Guard 1) He clean?
(Guard 2) Yeah... He doesn't look like a Raider, and his Shotgun is defintley not Raider style.
(Guard 1) Yeah... Welcome to the 'Safe Zone', just... Don't fuck around.

=I enter the 'Safe Zone'.=

=I walk down the road, casually putting down some Zeds=

I motion for her to follow.

"C'mon, then. let's get started. It's going to take a while to get it built. Might as well start now."

I start walking out of the house. I stop and pick up my riot shield.

=After the strenuous task of getting water from the ocean, I begin to purify it, the creative way. I got to large bowls, one smaller than the other, some plastic wrap and a pebble. filled the large one up with water and set the second one inside it, the covered both with the the wrap and then put the stone in the center so that when the water evaporated and was caught by the plastic it would travel down the slope made by the stone and fill the smaller bowl with clean water.=

=After putting it on the roof, along with several other bowls, or makeshift bowls, I began my strenuous exercises again.=

=it's been a few days since I've seen Garth or Alex, who is somewhere over in europe, or anyone for that matter. I'm fine with that, there aren't any zombies in Downmcpatric. but it's far from the main towns, so when I need to scavenge, I get my back pack and a golf cart with fuel, and head toward town.=

=I enter the town, checking the corners frequently=

=I stand, putting my blades on and holstering my pistol=
=I follow him=
=I begin humming=

I hook my shield on my back. I grab my new FN2000 and head out.

"We are going to need to go scavenge for supplies to build your house. If we are lucky, we can find whole pieces of wood or metal to use as walls."

I hop over the first trench and keep walking. I nod to some of the people coming back as well as leaving.

=I drop something else=

Well god dang it

=I decide to leave the store and go out to talk to people around town=

=I nod=

Okay.

=I hop the trench and continue humming=

=I hear faint talking and I hold still=

We keep walking. I hop the second trench.

"So, what all can the Beretta of yours do?"

=I see some... Urmm... Trenches... I think.=

(Ellie)

=I smile=

Kill stuff

=I giggle=

I chuckle.

"I think anything can do that. I mean like the recoil and mag capacity and such. You know, what are it's features."

=I jump into one of the Trenches, to have a look around... To see if anything, makes me remember.=

Well...I fire nine shots then reload...
I...dont know much about anything else...
My pa and brother were the ones with gun training.

I was too busy with school and other things

=I pop out of cover and aim my SL8 at the two people=
