Hey! How do I get into the Safe zone?!

=The Guard looks him up and down=

"you don't. stay in the slums, if your wanted your wanted, if not...well, not my problem."

Shit...

Wait! You know the big boss Elites right?!

=The Guard=

"Not directly, no."

Well...

Could you do me a favor, and... Send a runner or something... To ask if the name 'Miller' means anything?!

I got up to the back door. And slowly opened the door, cursing the creaking of said door, and peaked inside. I turned on my Flashlight, I signaled my team to scan every inch of this place.

"Miller?"

=the Guard frowns=

"Hey, Leannán, wasn't that Trader talking about a 'Miller' fellow? 'bout a fort-night ago?"

(Guard2)-Leannán: "Yeah, it was one of the other Safe areas, would have to ask the guy with the map though."

"yeah, next patrol that comes up here, we'll send someone down to talk with him, see if he can help you."

Wait... Somebody was talking about me?! What did they say?!

"eah, wasn't payin attention much, had a fine looking lass with him, 'twas a little distracting, know what i mean?"

=I sigh.=

Yeah...

So that means... Somebody knows about me... Somebody does...

Any idea when that patrol will arrive?!

"The next patrol? won't be till, 'bout an hour from now I think, dunno, depends on whether or not Aodh has Mr. Machete doing drills are disciplining the lackeys."

Aodh? Mr. Machete?!

=I scratch my helmet.=

"yeah, don't expect you to know them, Aodh damn near never leaves the lighthouse, I don't know why, and Mr. MAchete is the kid who, well, you'll know when you see him."

"So, how long do you think until we get to the lighthouse?"

=I look at him=

"uh, were not, Aodh doesn't like visitors, even if they are Elite, so, we're stopping by the Resort to sort out the stuff"

So... One hour until I might find out who I am... Or atleast get closer to the truth, anyway...

Well... When the patrol comes... I'll be in the slums somewhere.

I nod.

"Okay then. How long till we get there?"

=we arrive at the Resort=

"I would say now.."

I chuckle and get out of the cart. I walk to the shopping carts behind it and start taking things out.

=I look at him as he hops out, in the Pouring rain=

"HEY! what are you doing! you'll ruin the salvaged goods!"

"How else are we going to sort it? And it's Ireland! When isn't it rainng?"

=yelling=

"When we get inside the GARAGE!"

I facepalm at myself.

"There go my plans for a nice freezing shower!"

I walk back over to the cart, putting the stuff i took out back in.

=looking at him=

"now you smell like wet dog..."

=I carry on walking around the Slums.=

How much longer until that patrol...

"Hey! It's better than smelling like shit, now isn't it?"

I chuckle and walk alongside the cart.

"Well, you smell kinda like that too."

=I pull around the resort into the buggy garage=

I walk into the garage after him.

"Low blow, man. Low blow. So, we going to sort them now?"

"yeah, one cart at a time, well bring it into the resort, than categorize them and set em on tables."

I walk up to the first cart and start taking things out and carrying them into the resort.

=I open the door to the inside of the building=

"AY! Could use some help here, ya bunch of eejits!"

=A couple of grunts come in and start bringing things into the Resort=

=waits for the runner to show up=

"Nice accent you go there. Pick it up livin' in here?"

I set my pile of stuff on the table and head back for more.

=I chuckle=

"yeah, happens pretty easily for me, it's a psychological thing, can't remember what it's called.."

"Hey, don't ask me. You were the one taking psychology in college."

I grab another pile of stuff and start bringing it inside, passing by a few of the grunts.

"yeah, fun times."

=Gets pulled aside=

"Kid, after the rain stops, got some people you need to 'condition'."

me: "okay...and....?"

"gotta whip 'em into shape, you know, make sure they don't fuck up again."

me: "oh, yeah, I can do that."

"thanks."

=Starts sorting the stuff being brought in=

"What was that all about?"

I set my pile on the table and go get another one.

"Training, punishment for insubordination, I don't know, but I'm conditioning them so..... sucks for them"

"I can imagine."

I bring in the last pile o stuff and set it on the table. I start sorting with Nic.

=on the tables of stuff, unsorted, are various canned foods, utensils, blankets, rugs, sheets, plates, clothes, rain-gear, reconstructable chairs and tables, canned drinks, bags of salt, some golf clubs, golf balls, tools (like wrenches, screwdrivers etc), some recreational items (cards, board games, a Billiard stick etc.)=

Guard: "uh, the messenger hasn't come back yet, so I would think, hmmmmmmmmmm not yet."

=a patrol of guards come by=

"Holy crap...is that...battleship?"

I pick it up and look at it.

"Would ya look at that. Havn't seen this in years...huh."

I put it back on the table and continue sorting.

"ha, yeah, somethings I brought back because, well, why not? entertainment isn't exactly everywhere."

"True, unless you count killing Zed's entertainment."

"heh, yeah, I don't think it's entertaining, all it does is feed the beast."

"It HUNGERS for Moorrreeeee."

=I burst out laughing=

"that's more true than you know."

I start laughing as well.

"What do you mean?"

=The Messenger arrives at the resort, soaking wet=
