Zeru, I need you to contact the Troph, and have them charge its pulse lasers, and the smallest plasma turrets you have. We are burning just this area, got it?

=the transport jerked suddenly, gaining speed. We pulled out of the airspace over the flood, and the moment we did, the Silver Hawk fired its weapons. Lances of Plasma scoured the land below=

=the troph fires as well striking the surface in blinding flash of light=

-I continued firing, just to get the last bits of joy out of this fight. Even if the recoil wasn't present, it still felt good to hold a weapon and use it. I was determined to do as much damage as I could-

=The Flood burned. Despite many of them already regaining their coordination, it returned too late. The air filled with fire, as plasma rained down from the sky. The ground turned to glass=

=I watched in silent awe, as a whole section of land burned. Our transport pulled away, and rose back to the hangar=

-I threw the SMG off the edge of the transport as we got close to the hanger. I wiped the blood off my blade arm on the edge of the transport as well and retracted my blade-

Well, that was fun.

=The transport landed in the hangar a minute later. I got out, and moved to the edge, a strange desire to continue watching taking hold of me=

=the guards would have responded to the patients knocking, but the fight outside drew their attention. A window in a nearby wall showed them the battle that had taken place, and they only then realized they had a job. They returned to their post=

=While Dormii and the others went to med bay, I headed for the bridge. Before I could leave the hangar though, Zeru asked to borrow the transport, to get back to the Trophaeum. I agreed, so long as I got it back as soon as he was off. He left soon after that, back to his ship. I reached the bridge after a few minutes of walking, and assessed the damage: Four more ships, lost, including dozens of soldiers, and one fighter pilot. Silver had Sentinels swarming through all of Haven, and requested an immediate lock-down of the cities, and quarantines to be placed in effect. I agreed, and soon, every civilian was asked to remain in their homes. The Council wanted to speak with me a.s.a.p. Truth be told, I just wanted to sleep, but I knew they'd take it out of my ass if I didn't show. The Flood zones had been cleared. The surface near both wrecks had been burned, and Sentinels were patrolling all around the infected zones. As for the site below the Silver Hawk, it had been burned to glass, and nothing was left alive. We had come very close, to losing it all this day. The fact that we won, brought a series of emotions to me that I wasn't sure I could describe=

=syaa had activated her stealth mode of her armor and walked right past several guards and sensors without being detected,after a couple minutes she arrived at one of the battlefield and collected glassing samples from the hawk and troph for comparison as well as a forunner pistol and smg before heading to the troph and after 10 minutes arrives and goes up the gravity lift=

syaa yes but i think they'll notice the weapons are missing even tho i wasn't detected

=I got out of bed and looked around. I stretched and walked off, looking for someone who might be able to tell me what is going on=

=At the main military base of the Obsidian Wolf, a meeting was underway between the XNNO leaders, and Xazhi. He stood at the opposite end of a long table from the others. For the last few minutes, he had been explaining exactly what he saw, and what he thought of it. Alpha was irritated slightly, and Theta was more than a little angry=

Yes, Alpha. I'm positive. There is no other explanation.

You telling us what you just did may be the spark to a great war. I hope you understand this.

I agree with Sigma. This could be much more than you realize, young one.

It's settled then. Prepare the fleet. This will either be a simple recovery, or the beginning of the greatest war in our history...

=The council adjourned, and Theta took Xazhi with him to the Obsidian Wolf's main hanger. From there, they went aboard the Cobalt Moon, and awaited Alpha's order. The five superships all fired up at once and took off from the hanger=

Alpha, I'm sending you the coordinates of where i jumped from. Lead on.

=Xazhi sent the coordinates of the location that he made the slipspace jump back to the Obsidian Wolf from to Alpha's console aboard the Mahogany Star. A massive slipspace portal opened, and each ship took turns entering=

Myself, and 20 others looked down on the planet from our small stealth craft. Figuring out what to do.

Locklear: Ya'll know the real thing is inside the planet, right?
Gonzalez: No shit sir, as long as my sniper can still crack heads.
Locklear: No killing. You were briefed on that.
Overkill: No killing? That's no fun.
Lloyd: Right? C'mon sir.
Locklear: Shut the fuck up, and listen to my orders.
Gonzalez: Fine fine, but how are we going to get through those checkpoints?
Locklear: We could find a back entrance.

We started to descend towards the planets surface, going around the military checkpoints. We landed the ship, myself and Locklear walking out to check the size of a hole. "Think it's big enough." I nodded. "You should talk." I shook my head. "Fine." We walked back into the ship, and slowly started to descend through the hole.

=I simply could not believe it: another ship had entered Haven's system, and managed to slip past several of the defenses. In my defense though, we had more pressing matters to worry about, than one simple human ship. Regardless, I sent several Sentinels, 25 in total, to contact the ship. The Inheritor would have wanted to make contact, before destroying them. As a precaution though, I made sure the other end of the entrance was sealed=

"Will you just fucking call someone?"

"You are using my body, and you are telling ME to chill out?"

=I commed Silver using a nearby comm unit=

Hey, Silver. Is it okay if you build me a small fighter craft with a Slipspace drive?

=I wake up in the med-bay again, but this time I've been restrained. A nurse walks over.=

Nurse:"You're awake? Here, it'd be best if you stayed asleep."

=She gives me a dose of sedative and I pass back out.=

Nurse:"We have to find out what to do with him."

Doctor:"You're right, comm Jason and tell him the situation here."

=The nurse nods and walks over to the comms.=
=On comm=

Nurse: Sir? Can you hear me? We have a patient here, he has minor flood infection, he breathed in a moderate amount of spores, we don't know what to do as there are no signs of mutation yet. Last name: Thurrell, First name: Fatet."

--Sometime after the Council meeting. An hour tops--

=I was back on the Serenity, filling Miri in on what happened, when Gamma Base called me. They said that Fatet had inhaled Flood spores, but showed no sign of mutation=
Keep him restrained, and isolate the room. Make sure no one enters without a haz-mat suit. I'll inform Silver of this, he'll want to examine Fatet.

=The XNNO ships were now only a half-hour out, if that. Xazhi was upset about what had happened, but was honestly hoping it would not lead to a large-scale conflict. Alpha felt the same way. Theta, Sigma, Beta, and especially Giga, on the other hand, wanted to see the planet turned into obsidian. Xazhi took something out of his belt pouch. It was the chip that Delta gave him, still in its hardcase. He stared at it for a moment, wondering what it was. He put the thought aside, and stuffed it back in the pouch. He looked at Theta's console, wondering how much longer untill they would arrive=

I don't care what it is as long as it is fast, nimble, and has these weapons: a Gauss cannon, or railgun. A magnetically propelled projectile launcher, in essence. And a shrapnel cannon. Fires a large cloud of spikes, basically. That work?

=The massive slipspace portal opened over Haven, and the ships emerged slowly. It was the same fleet, in the same pattern, that had bombed and enslaved all those UNSC colonies, only missing the head of the pack, the Azure Comet. Alpha commed them each=

This is X No Alpha. Mahogany Star ready and waiting. All ships report in.

X No Beta, Sage Nova. Ready when you are.

X No Theta, Cobalt Moon. All systems in check.

Giga here. Gold Eclipse, standing by.

X No Sigma, Silver Void. Awaiting commands.

RSS-1210, Xazhi Narok, ready for battle.

All ships, await the command. Fall in around the debris field.

=The ships begin to form a ring around the debris field left by the Azure Comet's explosion=

Any ships come near this field, wipe them out. Make sure your scanners are functioning to detect cloaks, and your AIs on standby to divert any potential hackers. Arm all weapons and have every soldier to their battle station.

=I once again got on a transport, and headed back to the Silver Hawk (which I was actually considering renaming) and we headed down for the exit to the surface. A few minutes later, we massed with the rest of the fleet above Alpha Base, and headed for orbit. I wasn't going to fire first though. Scans showed these were the same ships around the Obsidian Wolf, and I did not want to get in a fight with these guys again. The Hawk took position at the head of the fleet, and I signaled the largest of the ships=

Greetings. In case you guys don't remember me, I am Jason Shepard, the Inheritor you all met. I have behind me enough firepower to make this quite an interesting fight, but that's something I'd rather not have. Tell me why you're here. Perhaps we can talk.

=the rest of the human ships got into position, and the crews of the fleet were once more shocked: Delta's fleet, minus the Azure Comet, had found their home. Memories of fire falling from the sky, and scorching their homes returned. It was only through sheer force of will and discipline, that they held fire=

Hold your tongue, Human! Untill we get this sorted out, you are just as much a suspect as the UNSC. Keep in mind, Jason Shepard, that we too possess quite a bit of firepower, including bombs that create black holes, and shatter planets in half. Consider that before making threats at us. We Ecksnos are not as weak or naive as we once were.

Something must be really bugging her. She doesn't snap at anyone, for anything. Ever. Let alone make actual threats.

Forgive me if that sounded like a threat. We have had a very long two days here, and very little time to rest. By all means, continue to do what you were doing before I called. I'm simply stating a fact: Attack my home, and I will retaliate.

We started to go down. We heard something close down the way.

Flame: Y'all hear that?
Overkill: Uh-huh.

I heard something that sounded like propulsion. And instantly thought. Sentinels.

Eragon: Forerunner tech.
Locklear: I hear it.

He got on the outside comms. "To whoever this is. We are a friendly ship, who are just exploring. We are not here to harm."

What we do is yet to be decided. All we know so far is that Delta came here, and now he and his ship are gone. All we have for an explanation as of now is the testimony of a twelve-year-old child who was inside one of your ships, where he was most certainly not supposed to be.

=Xazhi squirmed a bit=

Oh, dont worry about it. I doubt she's mad at you. I think if anything she's glad you were on that ship so that you could be here now in one piece.

=I sent my voice through a Sentinel nearest to the ship=
Forgive me if I do not believe you. Protocol dictates that all unknown, unidentified ships are to be challenged. Also, we have had a very trying few days here, and we are all stressed. I will however guide your ship to a landing zone, where I must ask you wait until a proper security team can rendezvous with you.

Delta did come here, and he brought the Flood on his tail. A massive ship, maybe ten miles long, came after him, and fired on all of us, and it destroyed the Azure Comet. As for this twelve year old boy, I let a ship land in my hangar when the Covenant came here, identified as the Eirav Wing. They left some time ago in fact=

Gonzalez: "Should we?"

Locklear turns off the comm. "Best thing to hopefully getting inside the planet."

He turns the comm back on. "We'll comply, lead the way."

=Alpha laughs briefly=

Forgive me if i find your explanation a little on the ridiculous side. The Azure Comet has taken down thousands of UNSC ships, and destroyed entire planets on its own. How one ship could be its undoing is far-fetched to say the least.

=Sigma had lead a group of SS soldiers into the middle of the wreckage, in search of anything they could recover. He went over the design of the Azure Comet in his head=

In the event of a critical blow, certain parts of the ship were more heavily armored to increase the likelihood of survival. The Bridge, the Engine and Reactor rooms, the Bomb Bay, and the Captain's, Officer's, and Crew quarters...
