| I walk aroind to the back of the pelican
I'd say it was a bad idea. Only two should go and bring back support. We can't move the unconscious and wounded. Not fast enough anyway.
I bend down close to Aegir and whisper to him
Hey, I was thinking. Check your motion tracker for a moment. Seeing red dots everywhere?
He nods to me
Yeah that's what I thought. If they've got an Active Camo out there, it'd be perfect. With the fog we wouldn't even see the shimmers and the fog would also be used as the excuse for the radars playing up. There's another thing bugging me too. They just brought us down out of the sky. They know we're in a bad shape so why was there no follow-up fire teams. If you ask me sir, what fired that rocket wasn't what the Marines have been fighting.
He seems thoughtful over this
I'm saying, it was the Marines.

| =i overhear Sparrow= Ma'am, with all due respect, I highly doubt it was the Marines. If they wanted us dead, why not kill us in the camp? Besides, we found a big weapons cache, blew it to hell. They probably have more. | |

| I turn to Rubble
You're missing the point. They don't want us dead. Put yourself in their shoes for a moment. If you were fighting an unknown force for weeks and it had you scared shitless, then three squads of Spartans show up but leave almost immediatly, would you really want those Spartans to go? Or would you ground them and make sure they can't leave.

| I'd want more than three squads, but I see your point, ma'am. That doesn't explain this weird shite, though. Thermal going haywire, motion sensors showing enemies everywhere, this fog. I don't like this, ma'am. Nothings right about this.
=i keep trying to track the movement= And this god damn movement...

| Well I have a theory on that one too. The enemy saw our pelican come down, engaged some experimental tech which I can't talk about with you and are here just to see what's happening. They haven't hit us yet and I don't think they're going to. They're just curious. | |

| Ma'am, I highly doubt a fog machine is experimental.
=i start seeing more movement. I also start to see glint from a metal, maybe a knife or rifle= I'm seeing weapon glint here...do I shoot or no.

| No. The fog is just lucky coincidence. I'm talking real experimental tech here. Active Camoflage its called. It was made avaliable to some Spartans on Reach during the great war but when Reach fell, we thought it all destroyed. Now I've done some more thinking while I was up front there. I don't think we're fighting rebels here. I think we're fighting natives. | |

| Ma'am, you may not be my squad leader, and I may just not like you as much as others, but you're still a teammate and Spartan. Not to mention probably higher rank than me. I would just block all the shots for you, even at the cost of my life. | |

| I stumble out of the bushes, finally deciding to come out. "Hey! Don't shoot! Don't shoot! Friendly. I can't believe I found you alive!" I stop to take a breath " I figured you'd be dead, by the time I got here. I've was suppose to reinforce Alpha squad. But a tree randomly fell on my warthog. I didnt see anyone." I stumble toward Rubble, with my magnum to my side | |

Whisper! Secure him. Disarm and keep him conscious.
I turn back to Rubble
What is that? | |

I'm saying, it was the Marines. "The camp was rather empty," I move Markov further into the Pelican, "I hope you're wrong Sparrow." Whispering to Sparrow, "I checked the deployment list before we left, we're the only ones who've been sent here, other than the outposts already here, we were the only Spartans sent to this planet."

It wouldn't make sense that they'd have all these munitions if the UNSC didn't supply them. We haven't lost this much stuff in the last few raids.
