Chapter 3-A: Calm before the Storm Part 3

=my vision blurs, and my hearing dulls. i scream as i close my eyes to stop these visions. my heart beats faster, my skin heats, my thoughts race=

=Immer gets up and races over to Voutan, who is just barely concious=

Immer- Jesus christ, are you okay? i thought you died!

=Voutan points out that his right arm has been blown off=

Voutan- =softly= Guess that didnt work out as well as i had hoped, eh?

=Immer takes him and drags him back to the barracks of the Spirit, where Voutan begins operating on himself. Immer rushes down the the Medbay to check on Ash=

Immer- Is she okay?

I inject the sedative into where Snow points and back-up slightly.

Look do you think you can manage him? I'm going to go find Ash and Draco.

=I give her a thumbs up=

I have seen worse from him, trust me I got this.

=I start to hobble and drab Dormii into the sandbags, where I was earlier=

=Immer gives Draco instructions on how to operate on Ash=

Sun- Immer, someone is coming. Shall i turn security on them?

Immer- No. Let them come get their freinds here. Dont hurt them, im sure they want no more bloodshed than we do today.

=He sees Vas on the floor=

Immer- JESUS!

=He hauls Vas up and gives him a bit of biofoam and begins checking for anyhting else that may be wrong=

Draco: I don't know... I think she stable

=His body fills with rage he can feel Zayne consuming him=
Draco: I have to stay

Zayne: Now's my chance? We can end them, all of them...

Draco: No! I can't do that I won't let you!

=He fights Zayne back down and listens Immers instructions=

I roam through the corridors and end up in the barracks. There i spot the newcomer who tried to blow me up fixing himself. I remain hidden but call out.

You still didn't answer my questions.

=Immer checks Vas's vitals=

Immer- He's gone. Dammit!

=She slams her hand on the table. he looks back up at Draco=

Immer- Okay, no questions asked. Im going to help you get her into the compond. While in there i spotted a medbay, much better equipped than this one.

=They begin to take Ash off the ship and into the compound on a strecher=

Voutan- We were sent here to rescue and ex-ONI operative named David Clark. Nothing more. So, i can tell you amde it away from that pretty well unscaved eh? thats a nice set of armor you've got.

I walk around the room, circling him. Still with camo activated.

Oh im going to kill David when i see him. And yes thank you. It does have it's uses.

I walk out of the room and leave the spirit, finding my way back up onto the clifftop and settling down with my sniper for a long night.

=Immer and Draco set ash down on an operation table in the new medbay=

Immer- Be right back, im going to go grab a few things.

=Immer runs back to the ship and into the cargo bay. She grabs a few prothetic parts, then returns to the Barracks to collect Voutan. They return to the medbay of the compound. Immer begins operationg on Ash to give her a new prothetic leg=

=I comm Jay=

Jay, do you want to be with Dormii?

=I leave Dormii and go to the armoury to retrieve some pistol, DMR, and SR ammo=

=sees immer= what do u think ur doing

=Immer sees the new spartan=

Immer- Operating. This poor girl lost her leg and now im trying to give her a new one.

=She points at the prothetic on the teble next to her=

Immer- I had a few parts on the ship. We were on two missions at once, one was to bring these prothetic parts, plus a few sets of MJOLNIR to the front, but i dont think anyone will notice a few bits gone.

Hmm..

=I drag Dormii to Jay, who was asleep, and lay him next to her=

=I put the ammo next to Jay and load the Sniper rifle for her=

=After many hours work, Immer manages to complete surgery on Ash and Voutan. They head back to the Spirit and retreive a large Crate from cargo. They bring it to the Rec Room in the compound and begin setting it up=

David runs over to the compound, walking into the rec-room and sitting on the couch, "So what's in that crate?"

=I sit on the other side of the ridge and lay my head down=

Long.. day...

=I close my eyes and go to sleep=

=They begin setting up the contents of the crate in the Rec room. They haul out a few heavy peices and assemble them. the object begins to take shape=

Immer- You'll see. I think You're going to like it.

David cocks his head to the side, "Really? Intrigue me."

Voutan- Well, maybe this will give it away.

=He pulls two long thin wooden stick and a sack of granite spheres=

Voutan- You up for a round or two?

=Immer finishes putting the object together=

David grins, "Maybe later...I'll bet some people will be pissed with me, gotta think about how I'll handle it."

Immer- Hey, if bad comes to worse, you can always hide out with us.

=She laughs a bit=

=starts to work on a combat prostetic just inacse something happens=

David chuckles, "Shouldn't come to that...But that reminds me, do you have any armor by any chance? We had an incident where I was stuck in ODST armor, I would've fried if I'd gone out there."

He looks at the coming-together pool table.

=adds a compartment inside the false leg to store ammo and small weapons=

Voutan- Yes, we do. We have a few sets of MJOLNIR we were supposed to deliver to the front. I think its...

Immer- Two sets of EOD, one Recon, Two Scout, three HAZOPs, 2 CQBs, and a JFO.

Voutan- yes, that.

=gets done and heads to the rec room= how did u guys evem find us voutan and co

Voutan- We were sent by ONI. They knew where our target was. finding you all was just a coincidence.

David blinks. "Well, erm, do you mind if I configure the sets to make one and take it off your hands?" David grinned.

Vouten- Sure. Which one would you like. At this point, screw ONI.

"Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to configure it myself. I like to build things."

Voutan- No problem. Right this way.

=Voutan starts to walk off towards the Spirit=

=i wake up, a massive headache forming. i look around and see Jay lying next to a sniper rifle, Snow on the other side of her. I get up, only just now realizing I have no shirt on. I walk back to the base, as much as i can with bandages on my legs, a headache, and massive amounts of energy with nowhere to go. I manage to make it to the rec room before collapsing to the ground=

Oh, sonofabitch. Who put the floor here? I was walking here.

=sees dormi collapse so he rushes over= dormi u shouldn't be walking around yet

=i look and see Zeru= Hey Zeru, you don't happen to know of a way to undo a lightning strike, do you?

=i see a new person= And who the hell are you?

David nods, following briskly after Voutan.

Immer- I'm Immer. I'm the one that fixed your friend there, with a little help from another spartan. Speaking of which, i never caught his name. Well, anyways, i better turn in.

=Immer follows Voutan back to the Spirit. She heads to the barracks and goes to sleep=

=to Zeru= How does everywhere sound? I was...well, training when it hit. I was dreaming that I was back at basic training, using my arma (Latin for weapon) when I was hit.

Oh, you'd love it. So everyone on my team, before we even go to know each other, were given a weapon, an arma. They were all unique, no similarities, except in whether sharp or blunt. I was given a sharpened forearm shield, a grappling hook with cable and a knife on the end, and another knife. We were told to practice with it, no breaks, until we could use it perfectly. I found some interesting ways to use it in combat, but then they were takenand we were given weapons. I guess I missed the old thing. Or my mind has a sick form of humor.
