Chapter 3-A: Calm before the Storm Part 3

Well, whatever my forearm was in length, that was the shield type plate thing. The hook was a standard three prong grappling hook, the cable was about nine feet long and the knife little more than a blade with a small section for the cable. Weighed the same as a knife, but was more blade than knife.

Everyones was different, Emily got a five foot staff with a flail on one end and a spear on the other, Lee got a mace with a set of flails coming off of the other end, and Christina got a two sets of knives hooked together by a central ring.

=I try to get up, failing horribly=

=I lie back down= you think anyone might want one? I'm sure I could make them.

=to Zeru= you seem more like a segmented staff person to me. But I'll see what I can do. First, I need sleep. I hear lightning is bad for you, if taken in through the skin.

=I chuckle lightly and fall asleep in the hallway=

=She tries to move her body=

=She can't remember anything apart from the pain of being shot, her heart rate begins to rise as the fear she felt returns=

=She tries to look at her leg but she can't move her head=
Anyone?! Please...? I... Can't feel my leg!?

=She reaches out a hand to it, she struggles moving any part of her body. Her hand reaches what once was her leg, she screams out in fear=
No?! Why!?

=She retracts her hand from pain and screams again, tears running down her face.=
Help! Someone? What happened?

=She closes her eyes again exhausted unable to keep them open, tears still running down her face=

(He hears her screams and awakens)

Its okay.
Your leg was nearly blown off by a sniper round.
You............you have a prosthetic leg.

=She opens her eyes and looks at Draco=
No... This can't be happening!?

=She begins to sob=
Why? This can't be real... It can't!

=She cried out again=

=She ties to move her head to get a look at it, she catches a glance and cries out in fear=
What happened! This has to be a dream!?

=She looks over at Draco=

(He grabs her hand)

=She moves her hand away from Draco's=

(He points over to the sniper laying on the bed next to her)

I took over and brought you into stable condition.

=Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at her missing leg=
All I remember is the pain... I was lying on the ground, I could barely see... But the pain.

=She looks back at Draco=
Where are we...? where are the others?

We are in the medbay of the base

=She tries to move but it only causes her pain she screams again=

(He helps her sit up)

=Immer wakes up, remembering the events that took place the day before. She remembers Vas, and the woman who she operated on, and Voutan losing his arm. She gets out of bed, grabs her armor, and heads back into the compond to the Medbay. She sees Ash cryin on the table and Draco trying to comfort her. She walks over=

Immer- Hey there. So i take it your not to fond of the new gear, huh? But hey, if it makes you feel any better, we have a few sets of armor back on the spirit if you like. We were supposed to deliver it for Oni but at this point, fuck them.

I shake my head, realizing i'd dozed off.

Urgh gotta keep myself awake.

I grasp the sniper again and proceed to scan the base looking for David.

I'm going to kill you, just wait until i find you.

I... I don't care about ''new gear''?! I've lost my leg!

=She lifts her head and brings her hand down to touch the prosthetic leg=
Its cold... This is not happening?

=She falls back onto the table=

(he turns to Immer)

(He points to Vas)
Before I do something I may regret

=i wake up, and start leaving. i remember to grab a shirt on the way out. i pass by the medbay and see immer leave. i walk in, seeing Draco and Ash. Ash has a robotic leg= Should I ask if you are ok? Or should I just leave?

Draco... stop...

=She looks up at him=
There's no point now... Its over...

=She looks over at Dormii=
I don't want to talk... Not to anyone

=She looks back to Draco=
Not even you..

(He looks at her)
(Understanding and hurt in his eyes)

=to Ash= I'm always available, to talk, that is. I'm no priest, but I can still listen.

=She watches them leave the medbay=

=i put my hand on his shoulder= You did not have control over a sniper. That is normal. Only true control comes from physical contact, and even then, it is sloppy. It was not your fault.

Hey, you don't happen to want any form of melee weapon, do you? like a set of knifes on strings attached to a central ring, or a segmented staff, etc.

I'm not saying you have to use it, just a suggestion. I'm going to remake all of my team's training weapons, our arma. I had a grappling hook-cable-blade and a forearm shield. Don't tell me you don't want something like that?

=She moves across the bed=
