Chapter 3-A: Calm before the Storm Part 3

=As they walk she began to use the leg more and more, as much as she hated doing so=
I don't know if I can face them..? I wanted to know if everyone's O'k... But I just feel ashamed

=Voutan walks back to the Spirit and begins going throught the Cargo, taking inventory. Immer follows him, but she goes to the Rec Room and begins training with a punching bag=

Why do you feel ashamed.

That I'm not me any more... That the others will look at me differently, and I'm scared...

=They walk around the Facility spotting no one=

If they truly care
They will not see just your leg
They will continue to see you
As a person
They will not judge you by your leg

I know... you've told me before, but what if they don't? What if I don't see myself in the same way?

=They stop in a empty hallway=

(He points to his right arm)
@Ash
That feeling will go away.

(He kisses her)

=She shakes her head=
Maybe I should get some sleep..? I don't feel to great...

(He leads her to a room)
(He takes her to the bed and they sit down)

=She kisses him on the cheek=
How does this work? Do I take the leg off?

=She sighs a falls onto the bed=

(He places a blanket over her as she falls asleep)
(He kisses her forehead)
(He takes off his armor and sits down on the floor laying his head on the wall)

=I keep going, finding more bullet holes, more burns. I don't notice that the burns are where doors would be if they were closed, that the bullet holes and next to door pads. I go deeper and deeper into the facility, as it quietly locks me in with several feet of titanium-a grade doors. I find several things, including Marine armor, ODST armor, a garage filled with Warthogs, a Scorpion, and a few vehicles in repair and service. I find plenty of terminals, but they are all off. I sheathe my knives, well, one of them. The other just hangs off of my arm, held on by the cable wrapped around my arm. I decide to make my way back, and find that bulkheads have closed=

Crap...now what?

=I make my way around the garage, not finding any way to get through the door that doesn't involve blowing myself up= Scorpion shells won't work. Seems like it's too thick

=I lay down in one of the warthogs, hoping someone realizes that I'm gone and comes to find me=
Why would a base lock people in, yet not have the computers on? Duh, quarantine. That's comforting

=with nothing else to do, I sleep=
Well, at least I had a good life before i died...

(Huge timeskip since the battle of earth for me, since i havent posted since then, asume things were still happeneing.)

=There is wreckage everywhere. Cannons blazing, ships being ripped to shreds. The seige has failed, and the 808th army has been all but obliterated. The crew aboard the Azure Comet are in complete chaos. They make a blind jump to escape their own destruction. They come out above a jungle planet shrouded in massive lightning storms. The Comet falls and crashed to the planet below, Plowing into a huge feild on the edge of a giant of forest. About 20 miles away appears to be some sort of base. Delta, on the floor of the bridge, desperately Comms for help. Most of the crew onboard are dead. Across shipwide comms, there are a few squads of soldiers and crew that survived. Again, Delta tries to contact the nearby establishment. Silence=

=i wake up, not that one can really sleep when they are locked in a bunker with no supplies and the feel that death is coming, and check the door. Still sealed. I look around and find an air vent, the seal on that broken and lodged open= Well, that is handy.

=i crawl in, and make my way to another room, the generator room. i look for a switch to turn it off, and find none=
Dammit. Looks like I have to do this the hard way.

=i find a few fusion coils, and i carefully stack them against generator's casing. i prepare to throw one of my knives at the pile, when i think of something= What if this generator also powers the complex where the others are? I can't take their power just to save myself.

=i lower my arm and prepare to die a slow, lonely, painful death. i start carving in the wall, the best i can with a steal knife going against bunker quality materials=

(He awakens)
(He sees Ash on the bed)
(The events of the past days returning to him)
(He runs his hand through his hair)
(He stands, walks over to the bed and kisses her)
(He leaves the room)
(He heads outside to explore)
(He walks for a good fifteen minutes and stumbles upon a bunker)

Not the bunker from before, Interesting

(He walks inside)
(He looks around)

Hmm, Cordite?

(He continues into the darkness of the bunker)
(He stumbles upon a thick titanium door)
Hmm. That can't be good

=i keep carving, trying to keep my mind off of the situation i am in=

I either die here, alone, or endanger the others by possibly taking their power source. I don't want to die, but I don't want to put the others in harms way. Gah, why can't my life just be simple?

Hmm

(He goes back)

Lets see here
Must be something around here to open that door

(He begins searching for a hidden terminal)

=i finish carving, exhausted. i managed to carve a mural of everybody, as best as I could. i fall asleep under the carving of myself, content to let this place be my end=

(He finds a terminal)
(He turns it on)
(The light illuminating the darkness)

What the heck. Why would it detonate the area. This place hasnt been used in forever.
Hmm. All? I just want this one to open.
(He backs out of that screen)

(He brings up an inner map of the bunker on the terminal)
(He finds the door)
(He inputs the code to that door in)

"This door leads to a safe Quarantine Zone. All others are in danger of being taken over or have already been taken over"
"Would you like to open this door"

"Opening..............."

(A loud clanging sound is heard from the door opening)

=before i fall asleep fully, i hear a loud clanging sound. i get up and go back to the garage through the vent. the door is opening=

Hey! someone there?

(He goes up to the door)
(As it opens he begins to feel it)

Zayne-I promised to come out

(His eyes go white)

=i see the door open, and Draco is standing there. The door moves up, and i see that his eyes are white= Oh.....shit.....

=i quickly unwrap the hook-cable-blade from my arm and hold it ready=

(He smiles)
(Sprints towards Dormii)
(Sweeps his legs and delivers a kick right to his chest)

=i get knocked back towards the Warthogs. i stagger up and start swinging the hook over my head, the knife still in my hand. i pull out my other knife and sweep the hook at his neck, intending to knock him over=

=Ash wakes up alone, she clutches her head=
Bad dreams and a headache... Must be my lucky day...

=She looks around for Draco=
He just left me... I'm not even sure if I can walk with this... Thing.

=She gets up slowly leaning on the wall to keep her balance, she gets dressed and covers her leg=
I can't look at it...

(He grabs the hook and pulls Dormii in)
(He whips the chain around catching Dormii in it)

=i spin, unwrapping myself and, using the momentum, to fling my other knife. it get impaled in his right arm, the robotic one=

(He smiles)
(He grabs the knife and takes it out)
(He goes into a stance)
(Ready)
(Vigilant)

=i yank the hook-cable-blade back. i think of my training, my feet never moving, the constant action. I attack, i launch both ends of the cable, catching the center so the hook and blade meet right in front of Draco's face, sending sparks out. i pull it back and sweep the blade at his legs=

=She walks around the base, leaning on the walls to nervous to walk on her own=
There's no one here...? Did the go scouting again..

=She looks down at her covered leg=
Could I even join the like this...?

=she begins to walk to the exit=

(His eyes unblinking)
(Unmoving)
(He hops over the blade and sprints at Dormii)
(He delivers an uppercut then uses the hand that is holding the knife to slice his chest)

=the cable continues it's motion around me, slowly wrapping around my chest. I stab with the forearm plate as the blade comes around. i ignore the slice in my chest and use the uppercut to deliver a headbutt=

(He staggers back)
(Stunned)
(He has never been stunned)
(Anger rises)
(He feels blood coming from his nose)
(Anger rises more)
(He recovers and rushes at Dormii)

=i duck, sending the cable out again, this time backwards, wrapping it around the closest tire of a warthog. the cable snaps taught (not snapped in half, full tension). I ready my forearm plate to block whatever he is thinking=

(He jumps over Dormii and stabs him in the back)
(He roundhouse kicks the knife even further in)

=i ignore the pain of the knife, but it still slows me down a bit. i pull hard on the cable, pulling the warthog into Draco. i get up, slowly, pushing past the pain of the knife and go to hamstring Draco on his left leg=

(Within)
(Draco is fighting the inner demons to get to Zayne)
(The darkness consuming him)
(The memories)
(So dark)
(He fights it off)
(One by one)

(He smiles)
(He raises his left arm)
(The shield pops out blocking Dormii's blow)

=i kick the shield, draining some power and knocking it backwards towards his face. i jerk the hook free of the warthog's tire and sending it at his head=

(He ducks and grabs the chain once more)
(He yanks it pulling Dormii towards him)
(He sprints with the chain in his hand and sweeps Dormiis feet)
(Dormii lands on his back, the knife pushing ever further)
(He puts his foot on Dormii's chest)

=blood comes out of my mouth. i use my arms to snap the bones in his lower leg, the forearm plate impaling his knee, shattering it=

(He winces)
Ow.
That one actually hurt.
(He leans down and drops his robotic elbow on Dormii's neck)
(He falls to the ground)
(Grabbing his leg)
Draco is gonna be pissed

(Within)
(He finally reaches the core)
(He pulls Zayne out and takes over)
(The pain hits him)
(He blacks out)

=runs a quick test of the security systems=

=the elbow partially collapses my throat, but i can still breathe, barely. i get up, slowly and try to go look for help before collapsing at the entrance to the bunker. i pass out=

=hears something out side and sees dormi outcold he quicklu gets him to bed bay to try and heal him=

dormi can u hear me wake up dude

=Delta continues trying to Comm the nearby base from the bridge of the crashed Azure Comet=

[Delta] This is X No Delta, If there is anyone out there, please respond. We have crashed on a jungle planet, and are in need of assistance.

=She walks outside, beginning to use her new leg more and more, she spots some trails=
Looks like the went this way... But why?

=She keeps walking till she finds a bunker, she see's Dormii and Draco lying on the floor.=
Draco?!

=She tries to run over to him but falls over, she picks herself back up and continues toward him=
Draco..? What happened?!

=She looks over at Zeru who's leaning over Dormii=
What happened here!?

(His eyes flitter open)
(He moans)

=She looks into Draco's eyes=
Don't worry... I'm here, its all going to be fine..

=She smiles, fear remains behind her eyes. She looks back at Zeru=
We have to get the back to the medbay! We need the others... Quick help me take Draco back!
