MERP round 3 RP thread

I head over to the dressing room and put on my normal clothes. I say goodbye to the manager then head out, I stop at the bar and grab a drink for my throat.

Cold. I felt cold. My body was in an enclosed space. Metal surrounded me. I could feel it. No portal to look outside. Completed darkness. I was confused. How did I get here? My mind was a cloud and it helped me not. I fumbled around in the darkness, but found that I could not. My hands were bound, as were my neck and feet. I was trapped. I tried to struggle against the bonds. It was useless, they didn't budge. I felt something in my brain twitch, it was strange. A power surged through me, it tingled, and I thrust upwards with my hands, breaking the metal that held me down, and blasting the covering of whatever my prison had been.

I was instantly blinded by bright light. Temporarily blinded, I felt around, my hand touching something soft, yet hard, it was cold, and easily crumbled in my hand. I felt words coming to my mind, thinking was hard. I couldn't explain it. I would try to remember who I was, and it just, wouldn't.

My eyes adjusted to the light. It was snowing, typical of Noveria, and it was windy. Noveria, that is where I am. How did I get here? I had questions that needed answers, but whenever I thought about them, they dissolved. I heard something crunching, it sounded... familiar. I looked up and was met with shadow. I was back in the darkness again.

12 hours later.

My eyes flicker open, and I stretch my arms. I let out a yawn as I climb out of bed and start getting dressed for the day. My stomach starts to rumble so I head out in search of someplace to get some food.

Sera groaned, getting up. As the sheets crumpled around her waist, she rubbed her eyes
"Now to find the courage to call her."

Sera got up and went around to the bathroom.
She didn't look like crap. Yay prohibition.

I step into a decent enough looking place and take a seat. I give my order and sit as I wait for it to arrive. My mind wonders to Sera from last night and my face breaks out into a grin. My food arrives and I thank them before digging in.

=The Mercenary sat up in the alley, rubbing his eyes. Another issue with the stims: they gave you a mild case of amnesia. The last thing he remembered was the Asari dancer and the human. He then stood, checking for his weapons, and then going to clean up back in his apartment.=

As Sera sat down to a breakfast cooked by herself...she finally bucked up the courage and called Staria.
Though, part of her didn't want the asari to pick up.
But that was her predominant, shy side.

But here she was. Calling a stripper for a date.
Fuck you Omega.

I'm just finishing up eating when a call interrupted me. I answer.

"Hello?"

=I walked back into afterlife, apologizing to my large Krogan friend out friend, telling him we'd grab lunch some time. I then sat down at the bar, exchanging pleasantries with the bartender, asking where'd he go to eat off a hangover. He recommended a little Turian place about 7 blocks away. I thanked him, and went there, sitting and pondering last night's events.=

=the deal went alright. Nothing major happened, but I'm guessing it didn't go through, as Gren just told us to go home, in a tone that suggested to me that he was upset. I shrugged, and just headed out, walking back to my home from the way I came=

=i woke up and rummaged around my food storage whatever it's called and ate the first thing I grabbed. I didn't even notice or care what it was. Today was the day I was going to workout, and hopefully not end up killing someone. It's annoying having to deal with a new trainer every time I go=

"Hi...Staria. it's Sera." She paused. "So...um....I'm bad at this, pleasw forgive me...would you like to...do something today, or tonight?" She asked shyly.
I hate being shy...

I smile at her shyness, it was sort of cute.

"That sounds good to me Sera, I'm free all day today. Just tell me where and when."

I'd woken up early, as usual, and made my way around, just walking. It was something I did for... Relaxation. I'd kept my hood up, which was just habit.

Sera blushed, kinda glad it was just a call.
"Want to meet for lunch then? And then you can pick what to do after?"

=He sat in the small diner until around 11 AM Earth time, drinking some old human traditional breakfast drink, Coffee, with some sugar and cream, and read through some news reports, generally satisfied.=

I check the time, Lunch was that far away.

"Lunch sounds great, but its been awhile since I've been here. I'm sure I can find something though. You want to meet up at the Afterlife and go looking from there?"

"That...sounds good. I'll meet you outside or inside?" Sera asked.

"Outside will work. "

The waitress brings me my bill and I pay.

"Well I got to go, I'll see you in a few Sera!"

"Alright."

Sera threw her dishes in the sink and hurrked to Afterlife.
Thank you, command.

I stand up from the booth and start making my way to the Afterlife. This was the first date I've ever had with a human, and it was making me a little excited.

Sera was standing in front of Afterlife, playing with her computer. For fun, she was hacking into a few Eclipse mechs a floor below.
Because why not?

I pulled out my datapad lazily, and scanned it. Someone hacking some Eclipse mechs that i also bugged? That's my job! I quickly began to hack as well, hoping to catch the mysterious one in this race of cyberwarfare. I tried to identify as a virus on the other hacker's directory of access, alerting all of the Eclipse firewalls to their presence, and then trying to get to the source myself. This shoud be fun, or so I hoped.

I walk up to Afterlife and spot Sera. I give out a call of greeting, and walk up smiling.

"Hey Sera, hope I didn't keep you waiting long."

Someone triggered the firewalls.
So Sera, in true Terra Nova fashion, cut all contact with the mechs very abruptly...aftee piggybacking the signal causing the firewall trigger and sending the signal to Eclipse itself.

No one out-hacks Seraphim Connor.

Sera then looked up. "Only been here a few minutes." She smiled. "You look lovely."

I smile, with a little blush.

"Thank you. You look nice yourself."

Sera blushed as well.
"So...lead the way?"

I nod and start walking, letting her get beside me.

"I just wish I knew where the hell I'm going."

"Same here." Sera falls in step beside Staria. "But hey. Can always just...explore."

He knew there was trouble. The signal went back up his blatant viral, and went along with him through the sneaky route. It activated the mech. No one won, but...

He had to stop it. It's patrol led it to the doors of Afterlife- No, inside the club. The former N7 clutched his Indra, sprinting to intercept, hoping he could reach it before it got close to Afterlife. He leapt over a crate, pushing people out of the way in a desperate rush, tracking the mech. It had already killed 3 people. He then reached the doors in around 10 minutes to see a large Atlas-like walker stomp towards him, weapons blazing. He rolled behind a barrel firing his Indra in short bursts to the head area.

Hopefully, it would be enough.

I smile and look at her.

"What kind of exploring we talking about here?"

I fired a whole mag into the metallic beast, slowing it down, but not killing it. I dropped a drone and fell back, watching as 3 missiles pounded the Eclipse mech before it gunned down the yellow ball. I then fired 2 Vindicator magazines into it, cutting down one of it's legs, before dropping back again, approaching afterlife's doorway. I then fired an incineration and charged, spraying my Indra and deactivating it's other leg, dropping it before reaching in with an Omni-Tool powered punch and tearing apart the machine's main processor bank. It shut down, but behind it lied a scene of fire and smashed features. I then hopped off and sprinted away in silence, unsure of what to do next. I would surely get the blame for this.

Sera shrugged. "I...don't really know? What did you have in mind?"

I was a little disappointed she didn't catch the pun but continued on.

"Hmmm..."

I look around at the signs, then point to one.

"How about that place?"

I point to a restaurant, it looks like a human cultured place.

"Its not lunch yet." Sera said. "Maybe later?"
Sera smiled sheepishly

I blush remembering I just ate.

"Right, good point.......... I'll be honest, I have no idea. If all else fails, we can to your place and dance?"

I laugh.

Sera blushed deeper.
"I like that plan." She admitted.

I start laughing harder and brush away a tear.

"Maybe later.. tonight."

I smile.

"If thats ok with you?"

Sera nods. "That is ok with me...anyways. how about we just walk around?" She offered.

I grin.

"A casual stroll through Omega? This ought to be interesting."

=From an alleyway in which they had camped the night, Zuka and Vera peered out of the darkness and trash out into the street. They were cloaked by their surroundings, but still kept themselves quiet and motionless. They saw two figures pass the alley, a Human and an Asari. How peculiar, Zuka thought, to see the two races mingling in a place like this. But there was no time to dwell on such thoughts. Who would know if they were mercenaries, sent to take them away?=

Sera, tentatively, took Staria's hand gently.
"So...C-Sec. Isn't that the group who defend the citadel?"

A tingle went down my spine, and I pecked over my shoulder. My thoughts get interrupted as Sera grab my hand, I smile and give a gentle squeeze.

"To be honest, I don't know much. They just asked for a medic who was willing to work on the field if needed. So I said yes, and they gave me basic pistol and hand to hand training."

"It sounds dangerous." Sera said. "I doubt I could be brave enough..." she looked a bit crestfallen.

I let go of her hand and wrap my arm around her wast, pulling her in closer.

"You could do it, besides I'm just the medic. Its not like I run in there guns a'blazing."

She went scarlet, but relaxed soon. "Im too...shy to really be a soldier." She said. "I'd be the worst."
She then leaned a bit into Staria. "Besides, being your dancing pole is much more fun." She smiled.

I blush a little, and my heart picks up an extra beat.

"I have to agree with you there. So what do you do for work?"

"It is jot really legal. I hack. Pays the bills. Keeps me clothed. Hope...you don't think badly of me."
She looked away, obviously nervous now.

I laugh.

"I don't judge, I'm a stripper! Apparently that job is bad or something."

I roll my eyes.

"Its a dance."

"People degarde it, but being a stripper isn't a bad job. Actually, I find the dancing beautiful...of course, the losing clothes part is always a nice addition..." she laughs softly. "Plus...stamina. Dancers do that all day....I am not built for it." She laughed softly again.

"I could teach you a few moves. They help set the mood sometimes."

I giggle then realize I still had my arm around her. I detach my self, blushing.

"Eh, sorry Sera."
