"I'd like that."
She then moved back closer. "And I was enjoying your arm around me, actually. Omega scares me..."

I smile shyly, then place my arm back around her.

"Don't worry Sera, I'll distract any bad guys with my dancing while you get away."

I get a big grin at the image.

"To be honest with you, It's been a long time since I dated. Most people just want me for my body or get jealous of my job."

"I...got to admit...both of those attracted me to you...but I wanted to get to know you too. So here we are..." she hesitantly looked sidewayz at Staria so she could see both her and where she was walking. "I...hope that wasn't wrong."

I am so ruining this. she thought sadly.

"Well what do you want to know?"

I gasp stopping.

"We don't even know each others full names."

I turn looking at her.

"I'm Staria Dalinari"

She stopped too. "Seraphim Connor...and...I just wanto to know you, really?"

I continue walking, my arm still around her.

"Well, I was born in Omega and raised here most of my childhood. I didn't get a real good education, and worked at the Afterlife but I left when I could."

"My parents lived here their whole lives. They hated it...but had no way off. I'm stuck here...wishing I could leave. I'm alone...been alone...but no money for passage away and no money to start a new life anywahs."
Sera sighed

I started to feel sad for Sera.

At least I got out of this hell hole...

"You can come with me..."

I surprised myself.

"You know... not like lovers or anything... I can just get you out.."

I started to blush.

"If we went as lovers, I'd ask what I did right write a book and sell it to become a millionaire "
She giggled. "That's kind of you. But I doubt C-Sec would want you to bring a straggler who's useless and a felon..."

"I guess your'e right."

I sigh.

"Well the least I can do is make sure you're not alone while I'm here."

I smile at her.

She smiles back shyly. "Thank you." She rested her head on the asari's shoulder and wrapped an arm around her for a slightly awkward hug. "I kinda...now wish you weren't leaving...but...go get them."

My heart beats faster and I grin happily.

"So uh... getting hungry yet?"

"I am." She sighed. "Guess back to that restraunt..." she then smiled. "Where did you learn to dance?"

I lead us back in the direction of the restaurant.

"I taught myself mainly. Dancing can be hard to learn, but some people are just born with it. The music just speaks to me and body responds."

Yku dance beautifully...and pretty eeotic, but that's besides the point." She laughs a bit shyly. "I guess you could say I was kinda born with my hacking skills. It all just makes sense. To me at least."

"That's what I mean. I think everyone is born with a special talent, I got dancing, you have hacking."

I rub her back a little with my hand.

"Have you ever thought of putting that skill to good work? I'm sure the C-Sec could use that, we run into all kinds of stuff firewalled."

"I'd accideny hack an Admiral's fetish book or something classified. Or kick someone in the face with mt soccer ball."
She blushed again, her face barely returning to normal. But her smile showed she liked it.

"Well you could always use their 'fetish' against them to get a promotion."

In more ways then one...

We took a turn, and I spotted the restaurant up head.

"So you play soccer?"

"I'm not really on to blackmail..." she sighed. "Yeah. Well. I used to. When my parents were killed, I kinda...fell apart. In the end, hacking was all I had left. I still got my soccerball though...kicking it around helps me unwind." Spotting the restraunt, she relaxed a bit. "I avoid kicking it around though. Kick it into the wrong person..." sera left the sentence hanging.

"Have you kicked it into the wrong person?"

The more she told me, the more I felt bad for her.

"Once. Almost got shot. Luckily I'm good at escaping." She said. "Thankfully I never met him again..." She smiled. "Instead, I met you."

I blush.

"I think he jumped to conclusions to fast. If you hit me with a soccer ball, I would give you a second chance."

I wink at her. We arrive at the restaurant and walk in taking seats a table.

She giggles. "Thanks." She said, taking her seat. "Glad I managed to find a nice person on Omega. Maybe I'll one day get out of here and find you. Hopefully not when you are under fire." She grinned.

I roll my eyes again.

"I'm just the 'medic'."

A waitress brings us some menus and asks what we'll have to drink.

I shrug and look at Sera.

"I'll take what she's taking"

"Soda I guess?" She giggled. "I only drink at night. It's just a thing of mine." Sera was drumming her fingers on the table, obviously a bit nervous still about the date.

I notice her edginess, and giggle.

"Don't worry Sera I don't bite."

I open up the menu and look over the food selection.

"Eh... I don't know what to get.."

She laughs softly. "I know...it's just...my first date is with a pretty asari who...did what you did last night and offered to do it again...and is pretty...brave...." She looked at her lap. "I'm not this lucky..." She said.

Oh, I hate lying. Fuck you command for those orders...She's really nice...maybe...maybe I can say I was ensuring her safe arrival? I mean, N7 and all? I'm sure Command wouldn't mind...I'd get sent back, but that's alright....I think...and, more importantly, why the hell am I suddenly...

Sera cut the thought off and looked back up shyly.

"Hmm.... I've never had spag-het-i. Spaghetti?... spaghetti.."

I look up at Sera.

'Is spaghetti any good?"

"It is. I like it at least...but I want a pizza right now...Sweet. They got pepperoni!" She grinned. "Nice place."

I nod.

"I geuss I'll take the spaghetti."

Seraphim tells the waiter their orders before looking back to Staria.
"So...anything else about you?"

I shrug.

"My life has been pretty boring, just dancing and school. My life is still pretty young."

"Heh...You live for a long time, right?" She asked. "So much ahead of you..." Sera sighed. "All I have ahead of me is more hacking..."

I smile sadly, then reach out and give her hand a affectionate squeeze.

"You have me, for a day or two."

Sera blushes AGAIN, smiling. "Wish it could be for longer...I have no friends except the bartender at Afterlife." She admitted. "And...I'm having fun with you."

I leave my hand on hers.

"I could always stop in and see you."

"I'd like that." Sera said, visibly relaxing as the food was finally brought over.

I cringe a little.

"I hope you're enjoying yourself, and that I'm not.. ruining anything."

I smile nervously, and suddenly find my food interesting.

Crap, I'm screwing this up..

"No! You're not ruining anything! I am enjoying myself!"

I so just screwed this up.

She smiles. "I made a friend. There's nothing you can do to ruin this."

I give her hand one last squeeze before digging into my food. I take one bite and my eyes go wide.

I start eating faster, but try not to look like a slob in front of Sera. These noodles were great.

She squeezed back before digging into her pizza, not paying attention to how Staria was eating.
Not bad. Nothing like Julio's down on Fifth back on Terra Nova...

I pause, dapping my mouth with a napkin.

I'm glad nothing bad has happened..

I found myself on what you could call one of the main streets of Omega. It led to the Markets, which was pretty busy at this time of day, but more or less dead at night. I wasn't exactly heading to the Market, in fact I wasn't heading anywhere. I was just leaning on one of building that 'formed' the street. Omega wasn't really that different in the morning than it was at night, the only thing that really changed was where about people where.

Sera was on her third slice of pizza.

Well. Looks like it's going good so far...

"AGH!" The scream left my throat involuntarily. I had felt pain unlike that I have ever felt before. My eyes shot wide open in response to the sudden spike of neural activity. I was bound to a chair this time and surrounded by people. My eyes shot left and right, my primal instinct looking for a way out. My brain knew there was no way, but the animal in me was scared. I was still on Noveria. Scientists surrounded me, taking notes. I could access my biotics. I felt grounded. Grounded. My eyes shot to the computer near my head, I could see much of it, but I figured that's what was keeping me down.

As my eyes shot around the room I noticed a lot of approving nods from the scientists. Had I passed soem sort of test? What was this? Memories suddenly flooded into me. My life? A lot of these things were unfamiliar to me. My body responded to the sudden influx of memories by twitching and arching in pain. Another scream escaped my lips. Is this what they wanted? For me to suffer as I experienced these memories?

Then it stopped, as quickly as it began. Warmth began to seep into my body, slowly. Backwards into darkness I fell, again.

"So... hows your meal?"

"It's good...I love pizza." She grinned. "Want some?"

I shake my head.

"No thank you, I got my hands full."

I motion at the remaining spaghetti.

Sera chuckled. "Then eat it." She stuck her tongue out at her before finishing off her pizza.

I laugh.

"I am!"

I finish up the rest of my food.
