MERP round 3 RP thread

"I...kinda like this actually. Think you can wait?"
It was the truth. No one had really ever just held her just to be close to her.
Sera closed her eyes.
Now, what show to watch?

I kiss her check and lay my head back down behind hers.

"Sure thing Sera, I'm enjoying this too."

Sera just enjoys it for a few more minutes before opening her eyes. "Is there any particular show you want to watch?"

In Afterlife, something awful had happened.

Eclipse attacked. Killed the bouncers.

I killed the Eclipse.

And now I was in a fistfight with the last one, as I didn't carry enough ammo. I hated up close combat. But I knew how to fight. I knew how to throw my large frame around. And I sure knew how to stab an asshole merc. So I did. And then got the lead bouncer back up, apply medigel to his wounds.

"So..." I sighed, breathing heavily. "How much trouble am I in?"

The krogan carefully looked around.

"It about evens out."

"Good." Was all I could say before sitting back on my stool, getting a drink, and trying to forget my problems once again.

I walked into Eclipse right around the time the fight had ended. Most of the people walked back in as if nothing had happened, some hadn't even left their seats. These attacks were common place, they always had been, even back when Aria was in control.

I sat down over near the guy who'd put down the last merc, interested. "What's your name?"

"I dont care, whatever you want."

Sera sighed. "Or actually, we could lie here and talk." She offered.
The choice she honestly rather wanted, as she wouldn't have to look at Staria...and fear that she might break down and confess what the crate was.

I sat back, taking another sip of my drink. "My name is Tom. Tom Galm. And you are?" I asked, firing a large Incineration blast and putting down a groaning Eclipse merc.

=The Alien flicked his Rifle away before pointing it back at the Turian, perhaps a "get out" gesture=

"Okay."

I stood up, still raising my hands. I had a plan, you see. I was curious. I'd wait until the Aliens had moved on, and attempt to follow them.

I slide my hand down hand rest it on her hips.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Ariella. Not important though." I watched him shoot the merc, smiling. "You're good."

Sera blushed again at the touch. "I don't know. Maybe what you plan to do as C-Sec?"

I showed him my badge, which was covered in scratches, but was still legible. "Well, I'm former N7. I'd hope to be considered good at the only thing I can do." He chuckled, asking for a drink for his new comrade. "So, why are you on this shitty little station?"

I shrug.

"Just do what they tell me too, medical work and all... maybe you could join and help me."

"I can only hack. I'm no good at medical work..." She sighed. "I'd be good as your dancing pole, but that's about it." I manage a small laugh. "Or your cuddle buddy."
Ok, that last part was lame. I'm such an idiot.

I rub my hand along her thigh.

"Then why don't you come and be my cuddle bear?"

I laugh, giving her a muzzle on her neck.

Sera giggled softly, enjoying Staria's touch. "I don't think C-Sec wants you to bring people just to cuddle with." She answered. "As much as I want to say yes, I don't see how."

"I'm also sure the Citadel doesn't approve of hackers."

I giggle.

"Maybe I should arrest you.."

Sera laughed. "You just want me in handcuffs now. I thought you said you were a stripper."

Why am I acting like this?

"Do you want me to put you in handcuffs? We could do some fun things."

I whisper the last part in her ear.

Sera didn't know what to say.
"This seems too fast Staria..." she responded. "Just...too fast." She sighed. "Can we get to know each other better first?"

I laugh, then grab her hand and give it a small squeeze.

"Im only joking with you Sera."

Sera sighed. "Oh." She said. "I must seem dumb...."

I sigh and adjust her so she's laying on her back, and I'm laying on top of her.

"Sera I don't think your dumb. You''re smart and beautiful."

I lean down and kiss her slowly, savoring the feeling.

Sera kissed back...but inside, she felt the guilt of the lies. Staria was being honest, kind...and Sera was still lying to her face.

And it tore her up.

I break the kiss and hover my head there, looking into her eyes. I reach up and brush a few strands of hair off of her face.

Something is bothering her..

She was barely showing it, but I could still pick up on it. Reading people was a gift I picked up in the clubs, it helped me avoid tons of dangerous clients. I frown a little.

"Sera you can be honest with me, if something is bothering you just tell me. I won't be mad or judgemental."

I give a soft smile, to show I meant every word.

Sera turned her head to look away.
"You'll be mad with me." She said. "And I'm afraid of what you'll do."

Sera was a bit scared. Asari = Aptitude to Biotics = Oh My God I am So Dead in her mind.
So, she lay there, pretty much half naked, scared of revealing her secret.
And the fact Command might demote her. Again.

I twist us again, so she's laying on top of me now. I rub my hands up and down her back, while giving a reassuring smile.

"Sera I won't do anything to you, especially anything to hurt you."

Sera looked at her, but she still looked nervous.
"It's about the crate. It's not just hacking equipment."

I give a laugh.

"Is this what this is about? Whats in it that so important?"

She couldn't look her in the eye.
"Staria...I'm...I'm..." She closed her eyes. "Staria, I'm not a hacker and I am not truly stuck here. I am an Operations Chief in the System Alliance Special Forces N7 Division, assigned to the Normandy-class SSV Archangel."
Sera braced herself, her face showing some fear.

I stop rubbing her back, my turns to one of utter confusion.

"What? But.. what about that stuff.. about being to shy?"

She sniffs, some tears forming. "It was true. It all was true. Except my parents died on Terra Nova. I was born on Terra Nova. But everything else was true...." Sera shook. "Please don't hate me, it's my orders to remain incognito here. I'm really shy still, but...I don't want to lose one of the few friends I actually have now."
I'm dead.

I lay there still trying to process everything that just happened, I really like Sera but this was sort of a smack to the face... I didn't know what to do.

Sera did the only possible thing her mind could tell her: Run.
So Sera rolled off Staria, and ran into the bathroom, slammig the door shut and collapsing against it.
She cried.

Oh shit!

I jump off the bed and run over after her.

"Sera open up please.. we can talk this out!"

Sera sobs, not moving. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't in combat, she was in panties and an oversized N7 T-shirt, sitting on the floor of a bathroom crying.
Seraphim Connor couldn't move.
She couldn't talk.
So just sobbed.

I sit on the ground next to the door.

"Sera please.. I care about you, seeing you gives me a warm feeling I haven't felt in years... and the last person who did that to me died... I don't want to lose you too.."

I feel some tears roll down my checks.

Really?
Sera lifted her head, then gently pressed her back against the door.
"You won't be mad at me?"

I took the drink, and pushed it aside smoothly, smiling.
"Well, I live here."

I sniffle, while whipping some tears away.

"I promise Sera."

Sera pulls away from and door and opens it to look at her. She sniffs, one hand on the floor and the other just lying in her lap. Her legs were bent to the side.
Sera looked at her, a bit scared.

I sigh, before getting up to pick up a few thermal clips from the dead, then sitting back down. "I guess I do too. I was left here by the SSV Marauder. No search or anything. Probably wasn't worth it." He took another sip. "So now I'm here. Mercenary by day, alcoholic by night." He raised his class, an old Earth tradition. "To the good life."

I grab Sera and pull her ontop of me, so shes sitting in my lap. I hug her tightly, and wipe my eyes again.

"I don't care what you are, just as long as you're her with me."

Sera sobs, resting her face into Staria's shoulder. "Ok." was all she could say. She barely was able to put her arms around the asari's waist.
Sera just relaxed against her.

I give her a kiss on the top of her head, the rub her back.

"Its alright Sera..."

"Command is gonna kill me..." She said. "...but you'll still be my friend?"
Maybe even more, but I don't like rushing anything...

"Of course I will Sera.."

I hold her tighter.

Sera smiles, her sobs slowly stopping. "I'm sorry for not telling you the whole truth."
