Hypothetical Squads and character ideas IF the Restart (or whatever it becomes) passes

I figure it'd be a good idea to plan a head a bit.

So, let's have it, Squads and character ideas:

ODST Squad behind enemy lines. Maximum 6 people. 5 is optimal. So far:

Me
Garth
Jeremy
Felix
Ham.

This is a pretty decent squad if we balance them out correctly.

Alright, yeah good, I was about to say ODST squads operate with 5-6 members.

If there's a spartan they'd probably be one assigned to a squad or something like that

everything but few things will be changed with my original character. either way i will probably be with Shelby's squad. Either actually in it, or attached to it

I like what's going on...but I've done quite a bit in both parts, as an ODST and a Spartan.

So, I would like to be in the squad, if at all possible, with a variation of my Spartan character.

That or a new ODST character.

So like, I dunno, the character sheet to this wouldn't be too different from what we have alreday, unless someone wants to change it up?

Squad mates have to sort of compliment each other, if you know what I mean. Like, in Halo ODST you had the Leader, a Sniper, whatever Mickey was, whatever Butch was (was that his name?), and the rookie (who was a little bit of everything)

and you know, stuff like that

Okay, well. I doubt I'm going to be a Spartan. So I'm stuck between an ODST and Marine.

Skip...I've read about it. So, an ODST would be better.

Oh good. Yeah. An ODST is the much better option, because you might not get nominated to be one of the two people to have a Spartan Character.

Hmm, So I'm going to throw out some ideas for characters thatI might draw up

One of them would be either a MArine or an ODST who was dropped or already deployed to the planet and was tasked with escorting colonists and civilians to safety but gets ambushed and the rest of the squad and the civilians were killed or presumed KIA.

I haven't really decided on how this unnamed character survives though, so feedback there

It's a good idea, but i'd suggest it was a Marine, you'd have to deal a lot more with the emotional development of all that as well as the fact the war rages around him.

It'd be difficult, but i believe you're a good enough writer to do that.

Well,

Marine: Gets ambushed by covenant, loses his squad and escort of civilians and colonists. Survives through some miracle or some chance happening like rubble falling from a building or falling into a sinkhole or something.

ODST: Dropped into a hotzone with his squad. Squad will either be with other RP-ers or a squad I make up. There is a high chance they'll be behind enemy lines, it's possible that the team would meet up with other RP-ers. It could be an ODST who gets knocked off course and ends up supporting a squad of marines or assisting escorts. Maybe some sort of ONI involvement, but probably not.
◊ Non-leader character

Spartan: I'm a bit torn here. I would like to make a spartan who is serious and committed to the cause (SII near worship of Halsey). He'd report to ONI occassionally they'd send him "primary" mission objectives and helping the ODST's and Marines would be "secondary". He' probably going to end up being the strong silent type, or he's going to be one of those emotionally oppressed overly serious types. I haven't really decided.

◊ Spartans are notorious for being skilled in all forms of weapons, there's a minority that are super specialized with one weapon type like a sniper rifle but the minority are generally the more focused on in stories. So you know, he's going to be variable.

Spartan characters will probably seem very OP to non-Spartan characters.
