Chapter 4: Exodus part 3

=Torres starts walking through the halls looking for zeru=

David notices someone walking and decides to follow him, he draws his pistol in case they're hostile, "State your business, please."

=Torres hears the person and turns his head=

Now I'm pretty sure I don't take orders from you.

=Torres keeps walking=

I suggest you put that away, I don't take lightly to those who point guns at me.

David holstered his pistol and kept walking, "Sorry..We've already been assaulted, just wanted to ensure this wasn't another one. Can tell you're a SPARTAN, though. Fresh start?" He managed to smirk behind his currently messed-up face.

=I stop and look at the person=

Apology accepted. The names General Josh Torres of the UNSC, but people just call me Torres.

David blinks, "General, hm? Look a little young to be a General."

David extended a hand from his good arm, "Name's David. Used to be in the UNSC for a while, then got moved to ONI. And now...Well, now I'd like to think I'm with you guys. But some aren't taking too kindly to that."

=I shake hands with David=

So..Where did they find you?

"Well, actually. I was on a jog on the beach, where your friend Snow had several stab wounds and was close to death. Lucky for him I was a Navy Corpsman and fixed him up until Dormii could pick us up on his Sabre, and I've been here since." David nursed his shoulder, "Again, some people don't like me yet."

David shook his head, regretfully as he was still sore, "Nope. Haven't been for a while...Not after some things went down." He seemed to have flashback for a split-second, before coming back to reality.

=Torres notices David little moment=

*under his breath So you to huh.

=Torres turns=

Would you mind showing me where the communications room is.

David hears Torres and nods, "Not a SPARTAN....Long story. Sure, follow me." David walks to the comms-room alongside Torres.

=Torres start putting codes into the computer=

Ok I got through.

=a notification is heard on the speaker=

Good ok lets go.

David follows silently, "So why do you need comms anyways?"

David nods, following Torres in, "Good with tech, are ya? I'm decent."

"What do you mean?" His hand involuntarily rested on his holster, toying with his handgun.

I really don't know how they will feel about covenant. Doesn't take you hand of your gun, we don't want any unexpected deaths at this place.

=A beep is heard from Torres's tac-pad=

Hmm he got it...must have been closer than I had thought.

David blinked, "Sorry, the alarm's gone off several times this week, don't wanna get caught off-guard." He looked to Torres, "Covvies? This close? Shit."

Follow me..

=Torres walks outside=

David walks outside after Torres, "Where to?"

=Torres says nothing and heads to a clearing=

Now we wait.

David stood, somewhat behind Torres and waited with him, "For?"

=Torres stood quiet, they waited for over a hal-hour=

Finally.

=Just as he said that, a gun is put into Davids back. David feels the gun and hears the cloaked covenant mumble something in his language=

David didn't move a muscle, his hand still resting on his holster, he nearly gasped at the feeling of the rifle. "Nice friends..."

=David feels the gun leave his backside=

*Kel
You humans are too soft and unprepared in your false peace.

Sometime a glimse of peace is what is needed.

=Torres walks by David and a group of 10 elites phase out of thier cloak=

Hmm I had heard news of your death, it was unsettling but here you are alive and in the flesh.

After the explosion I hwas blasted into a wormhole and ended up on this planet, my armor is under reconstruction at the moment.

I am glad nonetheless.

=Torres and Kel shake hands=

David turned, glad he chose not to react, "Not a wise idea when you don't know who your enemy is, I would've easily been over-powered." He looked to Torres curiously, "Sangheili Seperatists?"

Yead...David this is Kel, Kel David.

=Torres looks at the elites=

Why so many.

Could have been a trap, I had to be sure.

Understood, you think you can fill me in on what has been going on in my absence.

=Kel makes a gesture to the elites and all but one leaves, Kel turns to him=

What is wrong.

I am sorry sir I cannot leave you alone with these Vermin..

=Kel nods and turns to Torres=

I see not all are taking a liking to this alliance.

It has been a difficult one. We have much to talk of.

David follows behind Torres, eying the Elites suspiciously as he walked.

=Kel feels the uncertanty of David=

=They continue to walk down the hall=

David nodded, "What side would that be?

=I get up, turn off the Scream, and start wandering the base. Along the way I lose my armor, discarding it in hallways. I try to go around areas where I hear people are. I need to face my punishment alone, to escape it. I end up in the workshop, but I have no idea why. I look around and see a faint blood trail from my opened scar. I lose my thoughts staring at the simplicity of some of the tools. I fall asleep in the corner, away from sight, but a blood trail points directly at me=



(did we really need all of those complaint posts? I hope not cuz I got rid of them. Do I really need to babysit?? :P I'm kidding, you guys can take care of....yourselves.....right? Right?)

=the blip on the map marking zeru disappears and I notice a slipspace rupture on the scans, I then silently retrack his signal and find that the jump was near something called 'Obsidian Wolf', I also detect several elite armour signals planetside=

Seperatists? this far? interesting, I wonder what's going on down there.... That reminds me, there are prototypes of things and such

Prepare a ship, I need to go planetside to recover some old prototypes.

=I head down to the ship, and await confirmation that the Umbrae Umbrorum entered atmosphere, while i check the scans of the planet=

theres a small storm, and we're going to fly right through it to rest over the old facility, or base, but whatever, the top levels are facades anyway.

=the UU enters atmosphere and the small ship leaves port and heads to the facility=

sophia, key in the codes to open up the secret hanger.

=Kel stops in the hall=

I smell human blood not far from here.

=Torres turns around=

=Torres follow Kel until they come upon Dormii's body=

=Torres pics up Dormii and heads to the medbay=

=Ash enters the facility, she begins walking back to her room without making any noise=
I just hope we can leave soon... Then we can be done of all this, start again...

the small phantom draws close to the hidden hanger, that begins to open up in a small field, the the phantom lands, but the hanger remains open. i get out of the Phantom and head into the base, gather the the prototypes, package them, and load up the phantom. I linger for a moment, remembering the time I worked at this facility, remembering when I had to request for it to be closed because of things that were happening to the personnel. remembering the good ol' days, the relationships, the studiousness nature of his pursuits. Engineering weapons, and new ways to combat the covenant. Fun days, patriotic days, ONI days.
I return to the ship, set coordinates to the main ship, and then get off, and watch it return.
I climb up out of the hanger, onto the meadow, where it was so furtively laid. I look around, admire the landscape, and then head into the old base. where Spartans and other humans have taken root, and hidden from ONI and the UNSC for reasons unbeknownst to me. but there is a time and a place for everything.

=He inspects it carefully=
Voutan- Again. what you have here is Greinyen wool. I thought i showed you how to tell them apart? Well, i wouldent expect you to get it right off the bat. It would've been the first time you've encountered the material. But like i said, the only place to get Herac silk is to go to Srevaera. It's not that its illegal to export or anything, but people just dont want to. I'm going to call Epsilon and look into this "Black Market" you seem to have discovered.
