Chapter 4: Exodus part 3

=I walk in after David=

I would watch this guys.. he seems a little off edge.

=I hear someone come in, I let out a big yawn, and look at the newcomer. as he checks the pulse of Dormii=

.....and who might you be?

David looks to the man who happened to be sleeping, "Was wondering the same thing." He looked back to Dormii, "What happened?"

=Seeing David is completely oblivious to what i had to say, I walk back to my bunker and go to sleep=

ha, touche. Dormii had a...uh.... memory moment, and i knocked him out, and put the restraints on, because he may wake up in a violent sort of way.

=I look up at the man who just entered=

David nods, "I see, so you're the doctor? Name's David," he extends a hand to shake from his good arm, looking back at Dormii for a second.

=looks at David curiously=

Names Nikolaus, how'd you know I was a doctor?

=notices he's favouring one arm=

"I'm a very observant man. You're the only one here, for one. Doctors don't usually leave their patietns unattended. Although, I wouldn't be sleeping if he were my patient. And two, you thought to put the restraints on." David smirked, returning his stance to normal.

=I smile, i couldn't help myself=

Well it so happens, Dormii here won't be waking up anytime soon, so I can sleep, and he's restrained, so i don't need to worry much. So tell me David, what brings you here? or rather, how did you wind up here?

"Well, I was a Navy Corpsman for a while, and out for a jog on the beach, I found the rather jumpy man that had you at gunpoint with several stab wounds in a cave," he nudges to Dormii -regretfully, as he was still somewhat sore-,"and he picked us up for evac. And you?"

I just sort of walked in, a walk through memory lane, as it were. nothing special, or exciting like yours.

but now, if you'll excuse me, I would like to get some shut eye, before the storm hits.

=I close my eyes, and begin to nod off into a dark, dreamless sleep.=

David nodded, grabbing a chair and keeping vigil watch over Dormii. He understood Nikolaus' statement, and disregarded it for now. He knew ONI spooks didn't come to an abandoned SPARTAN stronghold for nostalgia.

=i partly wake up, not enough to move on my own, but enough to kinda speak. More like mumble, but you get the idea=

David looks to Dormii, quirking an eyebrow underneath his visor as he tried to memorize what he was talking about.

=i keep mumbling, before falling back asleep=

David notices dried blood on Dormii's face, so he grabs a wetnap-like contraption and begins to wipe the blood off, so lightly that Dormii wouldn't stir from his sleep. After he was finished, he tossed the wetnap in the Biohazard-marked trash can and sat back down.

=heads to the trophaeums bridge and he notices a weird signal after reading it he tries comming epsilon=

epsilon this is zeru can u hear me that fleet u defeated earlier was just a scouting party the main force is massing outside the ow's scanning range i'd get ready asap they don't seem very patient

=as he says that the massive fleet appears=

=Ash reaches her room, she opens the door and see's Draco she watches him from the hallway=
Looks like he's okay... We should be more careful with people like that running round..

=She closes it and turns around still griping her arm in pain=
I need to find some meds for this thing... Maybe Nikolaus take a look at it..

=She walks back to the medical station, tracing her steps=
Maybe I'm jumping to conclusion... But no normal doctor knows his way round Mjolnir armour like that, could he be with Oni?

=She reaches the med station, she stands outside the door staring at it=
If he is why is he here... I have to get this straight...

=She sits down on a chair just outside the room, still watching the door=
I just can't get it out of my head... The way he looked at me..? What if Oni sent him.. To bring us back..? I'm not going back to that cell... I can't do that...

=I wake up fully, and realize that I am strapped to a med-table. I try to get out. I start pulling on the straps on my arm, trying to snap it. It strains, but nothing happens. I keep trying anyway, keeping a contrant pressure on it=

=Hearing a disturbance, I wake up, wipe the sleep from my eyes, and look at Dormii=

Hey little buddy, glad to see your awake.

Let me out.


=I keep trying to snap the restraint=

Calm down first, and stop trying to get out of the restraints, it won't work.

=I wait patiently for Dormii=

=I ignore him, I keep trying. It starts to stretch= Let me out.

=Ash sits still staring at the door and clutching her arm=
What is he doing..? How long will it take them..?

=She sighs and thinks to herself=

stop moving, and I will.

=I look at him the way a father looks at his disobedient son=

=I lie back down, not looking at him, fire burning in my eyes=

Fine.

=I look at him, seeing the fire in his eyes I wonder: should i let him out....or should I give him a stronger sedative.........I release his head, and then go and open the door to let Miss Cole in so that there are more then just two doctors in the room.=

Miss Cole? you can come in now.

=I turn around and go back to unlatching Dormii from the table=

=She raises her head when she hears her name being called=
What their done?!... I guess I should go in...

=She slowly walks to the door, and tucks her hair behind her ear=
Why do I feel so nervous?

=She enters the room slowly and see's Dormii lying on the table and Nikolaus standing above him=
What have they been doing..?

=She stares and Nikolaus=

=I finish freeing Dormii=

I may need to stay on a bit, to help Dormii.

= I turn and meet Ashlie Cole's gaze=

she looks nervous.....

Help him...? What happened? Is he going to be okay?

=She walks closer to Dromii, watching him=

=I knock Nikolaus over, grab my armor, I start heading out of the room=

=I start running, no emotion on my face save for my eyes, which still burn intently=

=I get up quickly=

He's had a lot of psychological stress, hold on

=I give chase to Dormii=

Dormii! Don' make me Tackle you!

=She reaches her hand out to him=
He's gone...

=She drops it and brings it back to her wounded arm=
What aren't they telling me...? What do they know..?

=I keep running, trying to get to my destination quickly=

=there is no emotion in my voice. The only emotion is in my eyes=

=Ash looks around the Medstation=
I should follow them... But I need something for my arm first..

=She searches the shelf's but finds nothing=
I wish I knew what half this stuff was...

=She sighs and walks out into the hallway=
Were did they go...?

=I Sprint to him catching up with ease, and slide-tackle him, knocking his feet out from under him, as his armour falls to the floor and get on top of him to keep him form going anywhere=

=I struggle to get out, to get away. I shout=

=Ash turns she hears the screams behind her, she shouts out to him=
Dormii?! Where are you..?

=I shout back=

=She runs round a corner and spots the two fighting on the ground=

=She keeps her distance not wanting to get involved in the fight=

I am in full control, Nikolaus. I must atone for what I did, and what I might do.

=i manage to knock him off and keep going down the hall to the workshop, where I keep my arma=

=I follow him, talking=

a moment ago you were flipping out, you are not in full control of yourself! and what you might do? what?! are you planning on going out and killing a bunch of innocent civilians? or are you afraid of what you might do? are afraid that you might harm someone you care for? are afraid your not in control!?

=Ash watches Nikolaus follow Dormii, not saying anything just watching=
What does this all mean!? He's not someone from that project Dormii was in is he?

=i turn and scream at him=
I KILLED AN ENTIRE CONTINENT! I KILLED AN ENTIRE SHIP CREW! DON'T TELL ME I SHOULDN'T ATONE!

=i push past him and go outside to train with my arma, to set my mind blank=

...it's been too long of a day, I'll get something to eat and then I'll leave

=I look at him oddly=

=She looks over to Nikolaus=

=i start training with the hook-cable-blade, trying to bottle my emotions=

Dream. Fires, making the sky red. Ashes falling like snow. People screaming. A survivor, a woman, is lying on the ground. I raised my boot over her......I was laughing the whole time.

=i send sparks in all directions, I swing and slice with the blade, i use the hook to drag imaginary enemies closer to finish them off=

=to Ash= And then who was it, if not me? You don't know what I went through before I saw Nikolaus in that hallway...

=i falter, in a swing. i stop and run my knife across my scar on my forehead. the blood flows again=
