ZRP-2 Chapter 6: Scattered

"Strip poker." Hibiki answered readily.

Mira and some others careful moved a few shelves in front of the doors before moving the taller ones in front of the windows. They weren't done, but they had to move slowly.

(James)
=I both grinned and blushed=
"Really? We may have to do that in our own room then, unless you want Trevor and Mark to watch."

*Cooper*
=Soon enough, the glass was blocked, and so was the view. It also got much darker inside=
"Okay, wait here. Andrew, check in the back for a ladder to the roof. Failing that, we'll use one in here and get up there anyway."

"Our own room, of course." She chuckled. "Wouldn't want to let them see what only you're allowed to see."

(James)
"Wait, there's a label on you saying property of James?"
=Of course she wasn't, but it was nice to know I had exclusive....privileges=

(Andrew)

=I nod to Cooper and head back, hoping to find a ladder to the roof=

God...paint fumes were making me slightly giddy...

=I look around and breathe a sigh of relief, spotting a ladder out back, and it lead to the roof=

Good news...really good news...

=I head back to Cooper and point a thumb out towards the back=

Good news...this place has ladder out back.

*Cooper*
"Good. You and your sister go up there. Keep your walkie with you, but turn the volume down."

"If there was a tattoo parlor around, migt consider doing that for you."
She grinned. "To our room?"

(James)
=Maybe I got up too eagerly, but I didn't care. It had been....well, some time since I had seen her nude. Then again, if she won and I lost, it would be the other way around=
"Yes, lets."

(Andrew)

=I nod and look to Sarah, then back to Cooper=

I'll keep that in mind.

=I then head to the back with Sarah and head up the ladder. We then make it to the roof and take a watch position=

Hibiki got up and stretched.
"Someone is an eager little beaver!"

(James)
"Well, not that I'm suggesting we jump into it, but it's been a while since we've actually been alone together."
=I walked to the door to our cabin, opening it. Our room was....well, not small, but not large. Somewhere between cramped and comfortable, it had a bed, a tiny ass closet, and toilet in an even tinier room with just enough legroom and a sink. The bed itself was also barely enough for Hibiki and I to sleep comfortably, so sitting down playing cards wouldn't be a problem=

*Cooper*
"How's it looking up there?"

Hibiki dealed the cards out.
"Ready?"

(James)
=Sitting down and grabbing my own cards, I grinned=
"Ready."

Hibiki dealt them, then put the cards up.

"One of Hearts."
"Jack of Diamonds."
"Four of Clubs."

(Andrew)

=I took a look down the rifle's scope, eyeing the walkers across the street=

Well...the walkers are still focused on the bookstore.

=I hold my hand away from the trigger=

And they're gonna be at it for awhile.

=During this time...I kept my voice to almost a whisper=

*Cooper*
"Okay.....our group stays in this building. Dex, you and your team get the others not the second building, and secure it."

=Truth be told,had no idea how to play poker. So.....I showed Hibiki the hand I had=
"How's this?"

Hibiki threw her cards down. "Two jacks. You win." She took off her socks. "Alright..."

Taking the cards back, she re-dealt them.

"Two of Spades."
"Four of Hearts."
Nine of Hearts."

(James)
"Ten, jack, queen, king, and an ace?"


=Dex and his team headed their own people into their own building, a pharmacy by the looks of it, racks already raided for the valuable stuff=

Hibiki looked at her hand, then set her cards down.

Standing up, she stripped her pants off. "Dammit."

Taking the cards back, she dealt them again.

"Ten of hearts."
"Six of Clubs."
"Nine of Clubs."

(James)
=Grinning from my lucky streak, I sowed her my next hand=
"That's a flush, right? Or is it my turn to take something off?"

*Dex*
=Once everyone was secure, he went to the roof and checked out the town. It was a bit small, maybe home to a hundred or fewer people at one time. However, the Main Street the were on, had dozens of walkers roaming around, but most importantly=
"Cooper, we have vehicles. Looks like whoever got trapped had a few pickups and an suv. We may have a ride out of here."

*Cooper*
"Excellent, lets see if we can secure them later, but for now sit tight. We need to keep invisible."

Hibiki threw her arms up. "Can I just give you my underwear so you can tie me up already? you win, I give!"

She glared at the cards. They betrayed her.

(James)
=I blinked at her=
"Tie you up? I thought I said I wasn't into that stuff."


=Everyone from the train settled down in their own buildings, cramped but safe and unseen. Blocking the entrances, theylaid low in wait for an opportune moment to steal the vehchles=

"That was me being annoyed."
Hibiki threw her bra to the side. "So...get your looks in now. The bulge will come, and soon I'll be pretty useless..."

She sighed.

(Ace)

I stop and look back, not seeing anyone.

"Shit... what was I doing?"

I sigh and look around for any signs.

(James)
"I wouldn't say you'll be useless. You can always cover my back with a rifle."
=I edged towards her, slowly, one hand resting other lap=

"And even then.....bulge or no, you'll always be beautiful to me Hibiki, if that's what you're worried about."

*Dex*
"Ace, what the fuck are you doing? Take cover now!"
=He was looking at her through his scope, though he was more than ready to take down a walkerif they came too close=

(Ace)

I jump behind a tree, out of their line of fire and blink.

"Sorry I was daydreaming..."

*Dex*
"Get your head out of the clouds Ace, we've already lost enough people. We can't lose you as well."

Hibiki blushed. "Thanks James."
Holding his hand, she smiled. "Might as well get onto the inevitable conclusion to this poker game no?"
She inclined her head to the bed.

(James)
"Heh, well you are already naked.....seems rude to leave you the only one nude."
=Slowly, I stripped out of my own clothing, tossing it to the side of the room in a heap. Then I gently grabbed her shoulder and pulled her to me=

"Think we should have put a sock on the door, or do you think they'll get the idea?"

"Just in case."
She threw her sock at him. "I'll be on the bed."

(James)
=Grinning, I tossed the sock aside and threw caution to the wind, jumping onto the bed=

(Sam)
=I traded shifts with someone else and went down to the street. Already the deer had been skinned, and some stuff was being piled together to make a fire to cook it. Ignoring it, I went back to check on Eve=
"So, looks like we'll be eating deer soon."

"Venison is good." Eve said softly. "Are you sticking around longer now?"

Hibiki welcomed him with open...you get the picture.

(Sam)
=Tossing my head back t rest on the cushion of the seat, I frowned=
"I don't really know. Probably, unless we get attacked."

Eve then scooted right onto Sam's lap and snuggled close.
"Good. Then you're not leaving..." She said somewhat forcefully.

(Sam)
=I groaned in mock pain=
"Geez, just plant yourself right on me why don't ya?"

"You're lucky I didn't straddle you to make it more difficult to remove me." She teased back, resting her head on Sam's shoulder.
"Will you hold me please?"

(Sam)
=Groaning a little, I actually debated it. Look, wanted to, don't get me wrong but right now we were in that moment where things cold hit the fan very quickly=
"I'd like to, but we need to be ready to go at a moments notice Eve."

*Cooper*
=So far, whoever was sticking the bookstore wasnt able to leave. That or they were already dead. Either way, we needed to move soon, and those cars were our best shot=
"Ace.....if you can, try and get to one of one cars and see if you can bring it to where we are."

Eve sighed. "Then hold my hand...that's not going to slow you down, right?"

(Sam)
"Not unless we have to run and you trip, fall down, and take me with you."

"I meant easier to extracate yourself..."
She sighs. "Though, if it was a bed, you wouldn't complain...unless zombies were chasing us. Or Shepherds."

(Ace)

I climb up my tree and peak through the foliage looking about.

"I know... just alot on my mind.."

(Sam)
"If this was a bed, odds are decent that......well, I actually don't know. Haven't thought that far ahead really."

*Cooper*
"Understood, but focus. We need those vehicles if we want out of here."

"...maybe you should." Eve teased. "I have...but..."

Eve trailed off, then fell silent.

Waiting, again. Man we just couldn't get away from it. First it was the Siege, then the Train. And now the Hardware store.

(Sam)
"But?"


=Inside the hardware store, a few useful things were found. Glow sticks, for starters, still packaged and ready to be cracked. Useful melee weapons were found like shovels, hammers, and axes. Even a blow torch, meant for welding though=

"You wouldnt want to...bed me Sam..I barely can get you to snuggle when we're safe." Eve said quietly.

(Sam)
=I chuckled a little, and then Marcus came back inside=

*Marcus*
"Hey, food's ready. You should get some now."

(Sam)
"Alright. Eve, get off me and lets get some food."

Eve got up, a bit pouty.
"I was being serious..."

(Sam)
=For some reason, that made me chuckle some more. We both walked out, and there was the smell of meat cooking, something I had not smelled n the past three weeks. Living off of canned food meant we didn't get to cook much, and the smell of deer roasting over a flame made my stomach growl=
"I think I may be in heaven."

Sighing, Eve followed...then took Sam's hand.
"I'm always in heaven with you..." she said. "Don't need the smell of venison to feel that."
