Chapter 5: Revelations of the Past

Jack- Ah, i see a fellow player.

=Jack pulls a small bag of dice with his insignia on the bag and smiles=

=A huge grin appears on my face (behind my helmet though)=

Which Game shall we play?

=He smiles and finds a table for them to sit at. He pulls two solid-colored cups from his coat pocket and smiles again=

Jack- Are you farmilliar with Liars Dice?

Nobody in history has beaten me at Liars Dice

=He smiles again=

This will be fun...

=They play=

Jack- Three Fours.

=The game continues=

=After about a half hour, the game ends=

Jack- Don't feel so bad, Nobody has ever beaten me at Liars Dice.

=Still feeling nauseous Ash turns to Draco=
I think I might head down into the lobby... I need some air, maybe I can find out where we turned up..

=She slowly walks over to the door gazing back at him before leaving, she sighs to herself as she begins walking down to the lobby=
I never thought I'd say this but I think I prefer a frigate to a pace like this... I just don't fit in here...

Jack- Well, it seems you do not have the information i seek. Good day sir.

=He gets up and walks around the lobby searcjing for another of the people in the picture. He sees someone in the distance through the crowd. He looks at the picture and identifies her as the woman from it. He approaches her=

Jack- Excuse me, Ma'am. Would you happen to know one of these men? He shows her two pictues=





(One of the pictures is of Voutan, one of Dr. Oehlberg)

=She stare at the man for awhile startled by him=
Um..?

=She looks at the picture he's holding out, she spots Voutan and Nikolaus=
Ugh...

What should I do..? Tell him? What with killers after us?!

=She shakes her head=
Sorry... I've never seen them before...

=She laughs awkwardly=

=He detects hesitation in her voice and a slight bit of fear in her eyes=

Jack- You're lying to me. What do you know of the man called Voutan Reist?

=She steps back from the man still faking laughter=
Really I don't know these people... Sorry...

=She tries to pass the man her nausea getting worse=

This is bad... I need to get away from this guy, who know's who he's with...

=He puts the pictures back into his pocket and follows her closely. He speaks softly to her=

Jack- There is no need to fear me, I am not going to hurt you. I have business with Mr. Reist that needs imediate attending to. Any information that could lead me to him would be greatly appreciated.

=She tries to ignore him as she walks to the door of the hotel=
Really.. I don't know what your talking about... Sorry...

=Her nausea getting worse=

=He follows her closely, still speaking to her softly=

Jack- I said i would not hurt you. But as for them...

=He motions to about 8 men in the crowd with their hands in their jackets, reaching for guns=

Jack- We can never be sure... All i require is information leading me to Voutan Reist.

=She looks around scanning the men, she stops moving staring back to the man=
Listen... I don't want any trouble... I just want to get some air, that's all... Sorry I really can't help you...

=She watched the men again waiting for them to make their move=
Dam... This is bad... Looks like my only way out is to run... Even then my chances are slim...

=He takes her by the arm and subtly leads her into one of the many allyways outside. Two men with long dark coats stand at the entrance to the ally=

Jack- Do you know who I am? I know who you are. And i know that you can help me. I also know that there is quite a hefty bounty on that pretty little head of yours. Now i think we can help eachother out. You tell me what i want to know, and i dont get too exited with this here=

=He motions for her to look downwards, where he holds his green Energy Knife at her stomach=

=Fear fills her eyes, she speaks nervously=
Please.. I just want to be left alone, I can't tell you where he is... I'm sorry I really can't...

=She looks down at the knife pressing against her stomach=

=He smiles=

Jack- No need to be afraid, Miss Cole. Tell me what i want to know, and you'll be just fine.

=I get up again=

=I get up and begin to wobble around again=

=She looks back up at the man=
I can't tell him.. What about Jay? Dormii? Marcus? What would he do to them!?

=She sighs, trying to think of an excuse=

=Her eyes dart around the alleyway looking for a way to escape=

Jack- This is getting nowhere. I can assure you that your freinds will be safe. All i require is information on Voutan Reist. I know you know him. Is your life really worth the werabouts of the man who tried to kill you and all your freinds?

=She shakes her head=

=She stares back to the knife, then back to the man=

=He removes from his pocket a picture of Ashlie Cole and her parents as a very young child, barely 5 years old=

Jack- I know many things, and should i wish it, can know many more. But i am a fair man. I will bargain with you for the information i need.

=I hobble to the mess hall, achieving previous goal=

=I sit down at a table=

=She reaches for the picture trying to take it out the man's hands=
Why does everyone know about my family..? What the hell is going on...?

Jack- Now, Will you tell me about Voutan, or do i have to give them free reighn over your body?

=He motions to the two men at the end of the allyway=

=He eyes widen as she stare at the two men behind the strange man=
What..? Please..? Who are you people..

=She shakes her head looking back at the picture=
I can't... My friends... They called me their family.. I can't do that...

=She looks back to the man holding the knife=

=I finish eating a well prepared bowl of noodles=

Jack- As i said before, I have business with him that needs tending to. To put it shortly, i gave him a job, he was unsuccessfull. Now i need to find him. Now i suggest you tell me where he is and whatever else you know about him before i lose my patience...

=Her eyes meet the other man as she tries to read his movements=
Okay.. Looks like I haven't got a choice...

=She waits till the man is listing to her before she tries shoving him back so she can try and escape=

=He grabs her arm and pulls her close, giving her a small prick from his energy knife=

Jack- No.

=She grits her teeth in pain=

=She tries to shake her hand free from his grip=

=I hear a faint noise signal on the radio=

Hello...? Anyone there?

Jack= You will tell me what you know.

=He presses his kinfe against her throat=

Jack- Is your life worth the life of the man who tried to kill you?

=She stopped fighting the man, she felt the knife burn against her throat=
Sh###! What now.... I can't move...

=She moved her eyes around getting another look at the alleyway=
It's useless... I can't get out of this...

=She looked back to the man=

=I try to comm again as I stagger out to the sandbags=

Jack- Fine, you leave me no choice.

=He pulls a wet rag out of his coat and holds it over her mouth and nose=

Jack- Now sleep, untill we meet again.

=He and his men leave the Allyway and leave Ash behind=

David decides to take a stroll through the town so he grabbed his rucksack and headed outside. After a minute of walking he came to an alleyway where three men were walking out of. He looked at them suspiciously, his hand on his pocket.

=I sit on the sandbags and look at Ash's blood=

Hello? It anyone is there, respond!

=I look down to see my armour drenched and shock goes into my eyes=

=Jack walks by a man approaching the Alleyway. He tips his hat as he goes by=

Jack- Good day, sir.

=He dissapears into another alleyway=

David nods to the man and aftr he passes turns down the alleyway. He notices a figure in the darkness, "Ash?"

=She looks over seeing another figure at the end of the alley=
No...

=She drops her head, still lying on the ground some strange drug moving though her system=
Stay away you! I said I didn't know anything!

David stands still, "Ash, it's me. David. May I come help you?"

=I look back up, trying to ignore the blood and I hear David=

David..?

=I wait for a reply on the comm.. if it went through=

David...?

=She tried to sit up, her skin pale=
I didn't tell him...

=Her vision begins to blur=
Is that you...?

=Her head begins to get dizzy, her mind to clouded to think straight=

=He walks along the rooftops, and stops above an alleyway. He appears a nothing but a Silhouette. He watches as a man helps miss Cole=

Jack- What will you do...

"Yes, it's me. Let me help you." David reached out to pick up Ash in a Bridal-style carry back to the hotel. He noticed a figure on the rooftops but paid no attention. Ash's helth was more important than a stalker.

=Before they reached the hotel she pulled her hand out in front of David's face=
No... We... Can't..

=She shakes her head=
They... Are here...

=She drops her arm, most of her words are slurred=

=He comes down from the roof and keeps himself so that Miss Cole is always in view. He follows her and the mn who rescued her, blending with the crownd near-perfectly=

They go back to the hotel and enter a currently not-known room by hacking the scanner. David sets Ash down on the bed and locks the door. He closes the curtains and turns all the lights off, "Are you in pain, Ash?"

=She moved her head, losing most of the feeling in her body=

=She blinked her eye's trying to clear her vision=
