Chapter 6 - Complications part 7

Team 1 will consist of a small group, most likely someone with knowhow in explosives and some Spartans. Team 2 is the bigger team, they will be the distraction. Expect most of the Flood to come after you. Both teams will advance in different directions. Team 1 will take the bomb to here-

=He highlights part of the hive.=

And Team 2 will carry on until they are above Team 1. Team 1 must activate the bomb. They will be able to choose the amount of time before detonation. Both teams then must exit the hive, and get clear of the explosion, or your body will begin eating itself. Literally.

I'll be part of team 1. CQC expert, you'll need that.

We each get one side. You might say, a way to keep each other close, even when we are apart. It can be hooked into the armband, so it doesn't get in the way when you fight.

I look around and shake my head, not remembering anything that happened. Endless Night appears next to me and shakes her head, motioning to be quiet.

Shush. P found some form of old Forerunner transport drifting in space and went to investigate. Worst part is, when we arrived so did the covenant. Two entire fleets.

So what difference does being quiet make if we're cloaked anyway?

I sit up almost instantly, snapping to attention.

Another life form. We don't know how it came onboard but it did.

There is a crash outside the door and Night stops talking. She dims her light and i slide off of the bed, hiding and peeping over the over side. I watch as the door takes a few blows which leaves dents in it. It goes quiet. Night points to something near me and I reach over to pick up a knife. The silence continues and is deafening. I wait for the final blow which would surely send the door over the brink and cause it to give in. My hand grips the knife a little tighter and i adjust my position slightly to allow for more comfort. Night looks at me in confusion and forms the words "No cameras." I shrug at her but keep my eyes focused on the door.

=I head out towards the grav lift=

=I kiss him back, trying not to make the kiss end=

=I look around after we land in the clearing. The Cyclops is badly damaged=

I try to motion with my free hand to Night to ask where P was, knowing i was taking my attention off of the door way too much. Night forms the words "What?" and i shake my head at her. I realise at that moment that i am glad i took my attention off of the door, because if i hadn't i wouldn't have noticed the way the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. The way my breathing was becoming shallower or that there seemed to be a very minute clicking sound. I gulp, standing up and turn around. Right there on the window, it stared at me

I turn quickly, everything seeming to speed up, and leap over the table. I rush out the beaten door just as i hear the glass smash and feel the air beginning to drain out of the corridor. I hear the thud of it hitting the corridor wall as it came out of the room and the door locking down. The air stops seeping out but i have little time to appreciate this as iw ill my legs to go faster, hearing the soft, fleshy thuds of it's pursuit.

Don't make promises you can't keep. There is bound to be something that forces us apart. Just promise that you will try to find me, if it happens, m'kay?

(He feels a shake)

(He exits the room. Pistol drawn out)
(He begins to cautiously go through the halls)

(She is also in her room)

Oh. My turn to be clueless.

(They stop and watch the person run)

Jon-Umm...

(A figure crashes around the corner)

Lynn-Sonofa!

(They sprint off following the person)

(Jon occaisonally turning around and firing)

(Sorry if you said the plan for Team 2 already. I wasnt here and yeah)

I'm always told you don't dream in Cryo. I think they tell people that for the placebo effect. It's total bullshit.
I hate Cryo. I don't dislike it, I really don't. But every-time I enter Cryo-sleep, I have the same dream. I see the faces of all my test subjects. All My failures. All My successes. I see them all. Killing each other. Killing innocents. I see Puppeteers' strings on all of them, always coming back to me. Obeying my every whim. for better. or for worse. It never repeats though. It always fades away. And as it fades, I find myself on some Precursor world. With Precursor tech surrounding me. I feel as if I'm in another Universe. I see things. And sometimes, those things see me. I can't tell if I'm dreaming, or I'm seeing something on the other side. Then there are the dreams about falling, endlessly. Shortly followed by Cryo-sleep ending and me waking up. But I had a feeling, somehow, that when I woke up, I wouldn't be at my destination.

Team 1 goes into the hive to blow it inwards on itself. Team 2 is the diversion.
